      My Jazzmaster plays Jazz beautifully. Albeit it is a more modern "jazz sound" than a Gibson L5 or ES175.
      But Leo designed it that way for the "Modern Jazz players of the late 50's & 60's. Because that was in vogue at the time.
      Sadly even though Leo built this beautiful and innovative guitar to their specs, they turned up their noses when it was presented.
      Jazz players are the greatest cork sniffers in the music world!
      Luckily for us, Leo also designed it to be a versatile instrument capable of many great sounds and tones.
      The trick to a great Jazz sound on your JM is; Roll off the tone, play it clean through a tube amp and most important of all, know your chords! (No cheating) 😉

    So I inherited my dad's Jazzmaster and started to try learning how to play. I also got his Strat.
    Im getting an odd stereo effect in my headphones from the Jazzmaster on a clean channel(run through a Scarlett solo into my PC). It seems to be separating the higher strings notes from the lower ones. and there seems to be a tremolo effect as well on one side..is that normal? its not happening with the strat under the exact same settings(just switching out the cable from one guitar to the other)

    Intense Ginger. So does the triple switch control the pickups when the Rhythm circuit is on, or is there no choice?

    • @hoover728
      @hoover728 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The Rhythm circuit is only the neck pickup (thru a different tone circuit) so that 3 way toggle is inactive when it’s engaged. Surprised he didn’t explain that better. His demo on the Jaguar is clearer.

    But what does the neck pickup sound like with the rhythm circuit engaged and tone rolled off? Or middle setting with the neck tone not wide open?
