I come from the east coast of Canada so I’m familiar with seafood and how it needs to be stored or what fresh fish looks like. I do think it’s important to be careful because food poisoning from shellfish is the worst!
@@ayngelina I’m always pretty careful and travelled extensively through Asia and India. Even so - I’ve driven the porcelain bus many times. Problem with shellfish/ seafood in general is they can be fresh and still harvested in polluted waters. Salmon farming comes to mind.
Yeah I don’t eat salmon for that reason too many parasites. But I think because I travel for a living and eat street food all the time I’ve built up good bacteria in my stomach. I’ve only had food poisoning once and that was when I lived in Toronto. I always say everyone gets one super power and mine is my stomach. I hate to jinx it but I’ve eaten tons of street food in India (have videos here) and had no problem at all.
@@ayngelina yeah I also never got sick in India but my super power would be eating spicy food. I pretty much have chilli on everything and they never made me a curry too hot for me to eat. Even when I asked them.
Awesome video. Love sea urchin, but rather have it raw versus cooked. The herring looked really good. I would definitely try that if I came to Phu Quoc. We missed it this time, but we'll be back and go there the next time we are in Vietnam.
As soon as we landed we didn’t leave the airport and just flew there. The seafood was fantastic and the beaches (next video) are better than the mainland
The food looked great except for the larger sliced onions, I like minced. I lived with many Vietnamese people in Canada many moons ago and was taught how to make spring rolls, YUMMY, their stirfry using fish sauce, TASTY and spinach sparerib soup, AMAZING. I tried to get them to teach me how to make rare beef soup but they would not give up their secrets.
I also dislike large sliced onion! I always push mine to the side and give it to Alan, in return he gives me his bok choy as he thinks they give to much of it but I will never turn down greens.
I try to position the camera so people aren’t in it especially in restaurants because who wants to be filmed when eating but they say down in the middle!
Thank you! I will definitely come back to South America although I was thinking more of Colombia and maybe some Brazil next time as I have covered so much of Ecuador. What do you think?
@@ayngelina I would love to see Brazil's gastronomy, and traditional foods but also the cenotes, and other natural beauty the country has to offer. Argentina and Chile are also other countries I find intriguing.
I’ve been to Argentina and Chile and they are beautiful but I don’t find them as interesting culturally as both countries have no Indigenous influence, the Spanish killed them off and the only Indigenous people are from Bolivia working there often as cleaners and helpers and not treated well. Though Chile is so beautiful I would go back again.
@@ayngelina That sounds great! Columbia is a place I've been considering going to as well. Brazil is amazing for so many reasons too. Excited for you to share more adventures either way!
So happy you’re enjoying them. Vietnam is certainly home to the small business. Although I have seen some international chains in malls so Vietnam has changed a huge a bit since I was last here,
In Vietnam it’s 6pm but the night markets here are very different than Indonesia or the one I featured in Malaysia. Life here starts and stops so much earlier. Most people are up and out the door at 6pm and it’s hard to find dinner after 8pm even in places like Saigon, Shooting at night is such a challenge for me with lighting but the reality is locals love night markets. It’s where the best food is and how people socialize.
Hello am a seventeen years old girl who would like to go to Galapagos one day and publish my book there and I would really be grateful if you give me some information about the island how to get there or maybe what would I face there any information would be wonderful

Full credit.
I’m always too afraid to eat some of these things.

I need that super power because I’ve been caught a couple times in Thailand eating food that was unbearably spicy and I was too stubborn to admit it.

I think it was a good spot to set the bar to compare spots along the coast. It’s certainly made for tourism but they do it well.

Well the least expensive way is to buy a flight there. Non residents have a 30 day visa with a hotel reservation.
@@ayngelina thank you so much
