    Well I hope they did work with you on the hours! That was the hardest part back in the day for me on rentals. They always seemed to be tight with more hours when "their" machine broke down during a rental! Man yeah, looks amazing!! Gained quite a bit of fence line area there!! I really should break down and rent one this fall to go ahead and finish the last of my clearing! Loved hearing the story of the plowing and looking fwd to the 60 acres this year!! Well at least the silver eagle didn't need a clutch!!! Man that was wild you knew what to look for 😉 Was that grade 8 bolt blue? Seems those split planters are pretty slick, but I can understand this years woes and economic timidness. Thank you for bringing us along, always enjoy the clearing videos!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🚜🚜🌽🌽

      I'm jealous watching your videos, lol. I see all those open fields with no trees, and I think to myself about how nice that would be.

    Think that hole was an old borrow pit?

      I'm guessing that's what it was. I sure would have picked a different spot to put it other than right beside a creek.

    Do you prefer the quad range over the powershift? Can you tell me some things to look out for and check on a 4650? I am looking at one and would appreciate any heads up advice you could give.

    • @DylanJoyceFarms

      I like the quad ranges. From what I hear, the 15-speed powershift was fine but are expensive to repair if they give trouble.

      @@DylanJoyceFarms thanks for the reply. I thought I remembered you saying that in one of your videos.

We had aI thought of you the other day I had a interesting exchange with a salesman at my local dealer. We had a bad storm about a week ago and a lot of peoples equipment got tore up and barns got destroyed. The salesman I was talking to mentioned my 1586 which only has 5026 hours. It is nicely painted. I still use it to plant he said yeah that got tore up in a barn wouldn’t matter what you had it insured for insurance would say he could replace it for $8000. I just kind of chuckled and said where are you going to get a 1586 that nice for $8000 maybe a piece of crap one from down in Mississippi or Louisiana that sat outside it whole life and got abused but you’re not gonna find one like I got . He just chuckled back and said nobody uses tractors like that anymore. I know you are a green guy but I thought of you. I just kind of looked back at him and said I do so I guess we can’t say nobody.

      @@danielakin7638 I was $2500 dollars away from owning a 7140 one time, but the dealer wouldn't come off any so I ended up with the 4650 I have now.

      That is interesting. Similar story with our family when my dad bought our 1586 brand new in 1978. He actually looked and demoed a John Deere 4630. It could have went either way. The John Deere dealer was about 5000 more than the brand new 1586 at that time my dad said nope I’m gonna go with what I know and we have been read ever since we had owned red tractors previously, that was probably the closest to switching brands talking to you. You seem like a down-to-earth guy.

    Oh yeah the good ol def bull crap. Def stands for Destroying Engine Function. That’d be the first thing I’d be taking off if I owned it.

    • @wetrider97
      @wetrider97 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      DEF does not go into the engine it is injected between the turbo and the exhaust filter. Def reduces egr which is harmful to the engine
