@@21stcenturyanimation81 Haopy to answer. I’ve worked in the mortgage industry for over 30 years and climbed the management ladder. Made good decisions with money and got lucky with a couple of investments. 1/6 scale is my hobby and just love the reactions from friends and family that see my collection. I’m now over 100 figures. :-)
Now THAT is how you produce a quality collectible - the painstaking attention to detail through the movies/TV shows themselves and other source materials to get it right! When he mentioned that the lighting can lie to you . . . that is perfect attitude (that collectors demand) of the artists producing a great collectible of their favorite character.

no other company comes close in quality, seen them all. i only stick to hot toys
queen studios? even more realistic but not full body and a bit pricier
@@signin4079 queen studios make quality statues, its different to hot toys who make movable parts. look at prime1studio to.
So true,my only problem with them they mostly stick to marvel and star wars,they have done wonderful toys for other films too
I would have to argue with that ,INART is far more superior to hot toys although they dont make common or famous characters ,but when they do make the same character with hot toys ,the quality is always better than hot toys
@@leejet4730 INART have a long way to go before they can truly compete with hot toys. Not knocking their quality but hot toys is still the bigger brand. At least currently.

I preordered my first Hot Toy a couple months ago, myself (Darth Maul). I have some other excellent 1/6 scale figures, but I know when I finally get that first Hot Toy, it'll be something special.
That's the worst part. Pre-ordering, then hoping you don't die before it arrives. lol

I started with Joker DX08 and Batman DX09 back 2017 then I have a goal to grab every MCU hot toys ever released. 5 years later I now have 26 different marvel character models and keeps on growing! Long Live Hot Toys!

I bought one brand new this year for only 118 usd it was the tony stark mechanic version best deal i ever had totally a huge steal!
Just starting bought 2 in last 2 days. New addiction! First one is Boba Fett 40th anniversary and 2nd is ordered coming 10/21 Darth Maul clone wars 1/6 scale.

Without a doubt Hottoys is a remarkable product. The fear that most collectors including myself is the deterioration that these figure go through as time passes, it's a shame but is enough for most collectors to look into other interests.
They will not deteriorate if you keep them in the right CLIMATE settings! All MATERIAL deteriorates over time and a good collector will understand how to preserve it..
You can make them last 100’s of years if you know how to protect them.
If you're ever in Hong Kong, you have to go to their Secret Base showroom. You'll wish you had enough cash and space to buy everything

I've said this once before but I really want Kingsman figures. Like Eggsy. Does anyone agree? Disagree? Like I feel like there could be so much potential in a figure like that. So many accessories could be made like the umbrella, pistol, shoe blades, watch, glasses, the suitcase, maybe an exclusive piece like Gazelle's prosthetic leg blade

Crossbones is coming for sure! If youve seen a prototype, they'll probably get around to it eventually!

Why do you cost so much?
Take a look at the video... 10 days spent on research alone... 2 weeks on average just to sculpt a head... and this work done by real artists. then they have to cover the costs of licensing etc. The prices are really not that bad when you consider the size and quality of a standard £10 figure? Do Hot Toys provide you with something 20 times better for £200? Everyone needs to make their own decision on this but in my opinion, we're getting a bargain! So far I have Arkham City Batman, Arkham Asylum Joker, Justice League Wonder Woman and have pre-ordered Justice League Superman.
When you get these figures in hand, they are even better than in pictures. Beautiful pieces.

They make each character exact. Other companies want to re use the body parts quite a bit, Hot Toys makes new items for each figure. They have scaled down fabric textiles for the uniforms and translucent skin. The plastic they use isn't cheap so the figures can maintain poses. The products they do like Star Wars and Marvel have a high licensing fee attached.
