I agree with all points you mentioned! All works for me. In my opinion Action figures as HT has one iportant reason that for me is the most decisive: Actions Figures take me back to my chieldhood, Afective memories that statues will never do!
Action Figures were always my fav toy, predating video games. So to have realistic, high end figures, many years later.....its a beautiful thing. Statues have a place but I'll always be a 'figures' guy. Btw- Pearl Jam told me they love your flannel.

Statues have had characters that Hot Toys still don't (with both vehicles and mixed media) 3: Likeness well they are based on real people soooooo....... 4: Resale neither have that going for them since you will more than likely lose money 3: Storage if you keep boxes that's a problem if you don't than that's not a problem. 4: Display space, they do have 1/6 statues 5: Price! Collecting anything is for sure not a poor mans game. All that said I'll stick with statues
I collect MCU hot toys and live action Batmobiles. I decided I will only get spider-man statues but not that many. I plan to have spider-man, venom and carnage then the rest of my collection will be hot toys figures.
All great points and always do you (goes for everyone). I collect anything from neca, mezco, 1/10 statues, 1/6 figures, 1/4 figures and larger statues. Plus a few in between (mafex, unique companies and customs). My point..... Each one does something better than the other. No manufacture or size is the perfect one. There's things I love about neca, that not even expensive statues or figures can do. But they do things neca will never be able to do. I have love for all and it's more about the character, attachment and licence.

Both! However due to ridiculous statue prices and shipping costs I now collect most 1/4 Hot Toys. They look better with mixed media and less burden with weight and potential breakage.

I've always been amazed by miniatures that faithfully recreate their larger counterparts, so it is amazing to me they've recreated their clothes and accessories (have to admit though, some of the sixth scale military manufacturers outdo Hot Toys). To me it's more amazing that they managed to recreate a tiny working zipper than if they've sculpted one.

That’s the reason why I follow channels like Justin, Will Foxfication, KeCo and yourself, sir 😃 Second, I admire the ability of showing you love something without trashing the “opposite” side (let’s be honest, we are all in the same side: articulated, statues, mainstream and custom, it’s all about collecting) And last but not least: your collection is SO BEAUTIFUL, man. Seriously, you check all my boxes: use of space, poses, lights. It gives me a sensation of peace. Please another collection video tour soon! Hahaha Cheers!
Statues take up more space. You need more storage space as the boxes are massive and they are more of a pain in the arse to sell that's my logic on it anyway 😂

Sorry, but there is NO intrinsic satisfaction that comes from statues because there is NOTHING to do with them. The satisfaction that comes from TAKING ACTION or DOING something is completely missing. And the latest research shows that this is the different between happy vs unhappy people. That's why I have seen that statue collectors are very unhappy. Just look at the comments section of batman statue collector's video vs Jedha Patrol on Hot Toys vs statues LOL. The statue collectors were saying things that only a psycho would say (and batman statue collector was hearting their comments. It was disgusting and ridiculous -- not to mention that he is on psychotic meds as he is constantly blinking with his eyes and talks about his unhappy childhood about how he was constantly bullied). The proof is right there in the pudding. I won't associate myself with a statue collector as I want to keep my sanity. There is so much more proof that I can state. Just look at the way they dispaly their collection. It's all over the place. Even on top of their toilet seats. They don't know what they are doing because they are mentally derranged. I want to say this to protect the toy collecting community, beacuse toy collectors are easily manipulated and influenced. They are bullied by the unhappy and unhealthy statue collectors into buying statues. Just look at "man" of hot collectibles who was bullied and peer pressured into buying statues. More like boy of cold collectibles now, poor guy. Just protect yourselves. I was pushed heavily into buying statues in the past, and I was very sad and regretted my toy collection for a time, but luckily I got out of that mess and the unhealthy statue community. Also, it is wise to learn the subject, "Transactional Analysis" as it talks about child mode which toy collectors are usually in. I haven't seen ONE toy collector fight back with a statue collector yet, because they are stuck in child mode. It's real sad to see Man of Hot Collectibles being bullied on livestream and he does nothing but laugh and make excuses. The worst part is, the ones bullying him are also unhappy, sad, and depressed. It's a vicious cycle. Someone needs to stop this nonsense. I've stopped it for myself, but feel sad to see it happening to others.
