My dad has that exact paint scheme 1990 model. And I might be slightly biased because of that, but I can't think of a cooler looking touring bike, period. The big cylinders sticking out either side, the bulbar/ engine protectors, the HUGE bulky fuel tank and that high two piece front fender!!! Just so unique.
When i was young i had one of these....red white. In the black forest i catched the kawas while my girlfriend was relaxed on the backseat. This bike ist a real big one. It was good to handle even in tricky situations . Everthing was useful. No navi no gimmiks in these times the pilot knowed where to go - yes ! The new bikes only do it faster but nothing more. With the PD i picked up a speed limit ticket in swizeland - 1300 Schweizer Franken - so why more HP ? :-))))) wish you all a good and safe ride on 2 wheels !

Nice short review mate…I owned a heap of R100 road bikes of various guises. They go forever due to the over engineering and under power.
