The souls games are always sooo hard in the beginning. I played bloodbourne , elden ring , and now I'm working on darksouls 3. Honestly elden ring was the easiest so far .
It’s been the opposite for me. I played Elden as my first souls game and just finished Bloodborne and the DlC fairly quick. I almost first tried every boss beside Cos. Eleen’s last Hunter killed me the most lol
I remember being very frustrated when DS3 first came out and I never thought I would be able to beat any of the souls games, but this guide really helps me beat it. Thank you!!!
Really, going back from DS3 to DS1,2, they seem more easy. Because they have more slow and strategic battles, while in DS3 and above it's all spectacle fighting and never ending compo attacks. I don't know if I play more DS3 whether I will get used to it, but going back to DS1 or even the DS2 that everyone things is jank and I am having more fun than this.
Another advise I can give; with most builds you can use the dark axe you get from the mimic pretty much untill undead settelment. That way you dont have to spend ur titanite if the weapon you want to use is not a starting one c:
you can kill the dancer then farm the lothrics knights outside the boss gate fortianitre shards and large titanitsand chunks is thelothrics knights after the dancer
@@m4chiavellian I beat the game sometime last month u got this it's hard to understand but you got this. I watched a build guide probably this one i don't remember then i watched a guide on where to get all the shards to upgrade the ice hammer and beat the game. Fairly easy I only struggled on the fire and magic guy and the fight that activates after you kill the old person in the chair. Other than that the game was a breeze even the final boss.
A great deal of effort must have been put into this guide, while being thorough, wholesome and relaxing! Great choice of background songs! Much appreciated 😇
I like this guide but it's so hard to find anything i get stuck for so long looking for these things i really wish you would've shown how to get to them
You start out with enough endurance for 4 L1’s with the twinblades. 17 is the magic number to get you 5, or 4 L1’s and a roll. The faster you get to 17 endurance, the better off you’ll be.
First playthrough and was just playing with the default Axe. I upgraded that one and never thought of all the other jank I was collecting. Second build, after seeing a speedrunner destroying everything with the dual wielding blades of another class, I started with this one. They can be more effective and with dex, even if my axe shows more damage total in the original build. But I mainly focused on increasing vigor and endurance on this one. Really, game doesn't let you play other builds as easilly. I am getting destroyed anyways, enemies are too fast and spam 6 combos or more, totally miscominucating their moves, like I don't know when to attack. But anway, with certain weapons and starting build strategies the second run seemed a bit easier.
the axe shows more damage per hit, but if you're using the special L1/LB attack of the twinblades, you're hitting more than the number on the tooltip shows and the attack is faster than the axe. learning to dodge when you first start out is definitely challenging, but you will eventually get the hang of it and the game will become easy. Dark souls 3 definitely does have some annoying mobs though no doubt, it's just a case of learning and remembering their attack patterns which can only come with time.
Aa a certified new player to the series of last month.... 1) Pyromancer is OP. It's DS3 on easy mode because 90% of the time you dont even need to learn an enemies movesets. Great Chaos Fireball, and Black Flame Orb for anything that resists fire. You can beat almost anything before it even gets in range. I rarely used melee weapons (only against dogs/wolves). Both pyro rings + Lloyds Sword Ring + Fire Clutch Ring/Dark Clutch Ring 2) Parry and Backstabs (hard to master but once you get the timings down they do loads of damage)

I put off playing Dark Souls for many years just because of its reputation. Currently on my first playthrough here, using the Twinblades, and I'm just surprised at how easy the game becomes. Did many of the supposed hardest bosses in one or two tries. I almost feel like I have to replay the game with a different build, just to get a harder challenge.

Thank you! If you managed to beat ER, you already have what it takes to beat the rest! one tip i can offer for when you get around to it - the black knight weapons in dark souls 1 do quite insane damage, such as the black knight greatsword or halberd, but they’re an RNG drop. You can increase your % chance to get them by using humanities before fighting the knights, but be careful as you lose them if you die!
Pontiff and especially abyss watchers become much easier if you just stat check them by upgrading your weapon as high as you can before fighting them, soul of cinder is just how it be though

personally i prefer having grass crest shield on my back for more stamina regen, plus the wolfs greatsword is heavier which means you end up with worse armor to avoid fat rolling, though it's definitely also a good option!
I never played Dark Souls III. So if I follow all these steps will I just be overpowered as I play the whole game and have fun beating bosses until the final boss and beat the game? Yeah that's pretty much exactly right, you will be doing enough damage to kill bosses really quickly. Dark Souls 3 has a feature that allows you to beat the final boss without resetting the world and then choose to go into NG+ whenever you want, but it's also very very obvious when you reach the final boss if you want to save them until last.

Then, you can press space again while still sprinting and holding forward to make your character jump. If you cannot play with a controller, I suggest searching to see if anyone has perhaps made a mod or a guide on how to set up the kb/m button binds in a more convenient way
I just finished watching this part 4:52 and a minute later while I was playing the same thing happened to me you think I would have learned from that 😂
no! you can actually run right past his arena and go deeper into the catacombs to find the other stuff, old demon king is completely optional even when following this guide
Thanks, just maxed out my Sellsword Winblades, now I can continue playing the game and not worry about missing stuff. Im satisfied with my current estus and bone shard levels so I'll just keep an eye for those but at this point I dont need more really. Liked and subbed. Amazing guide. Btw, I have a question. I want to max a 2nd weapon later on. I am doing a pure dex build. What would u recommend? I've just killed champion gundyr if you're curious on my progression. Pure dex weapon, recommendation?
Depends on what type of move set you want, my personal favourite is the Murakumo, but if you want a bigger sword I'd recommend the Astora Greatsword, it's just long ass greatsword with an S dex scaling when you put a sharp gem on it.
As rule of thumb I dump ALL my souls till i get 20 vig, and THEN i start with dex and endurance. Twinblades so broken you probably wont need to upgrade and up dex untill farron
In the first 30 levels, I'd probably suggest getting to 20 vigor, 20 endurance and then dumping the rest of the levels in dex, which should take you to around 27 dex. If you find yourself dying too quickly, you could go for even more vigor, but it starts to get diminishing returns (less HP gained per level used) after you reach 26 vigor, so I wouldn't start to level up vigor higher than around 30 until you reach the dex softcap, which is 40 with the twinblades + sharp gem.
After you unlock the leveling up system. One run through I lost about 7k souls because I killed the crystal dragon and ate the soul. You can also use the magic arrow to spam the blade master to the left of the building. He will give you a great weapon.
no you can still complete all npc encounters this way, just make sure you complete all the steps for every npc in an area before proceeding to the next area
for a first playthrough, by the end of the game i'd say you should aim to have least 40, maybe 45 vigor, as much endurance as you feel you need based on your playstyle (probably at least 30 though) and then the rest into dexterity.
From the dilapidated bridge bonfire, head towards the big stone arch (near which the big guy with the pot and shield on his back) then right after you go under the stone arch, turn left and go up the hill, into the building, up the stairs and then out the other side of the building. the ladder should be on your right.
If you mean the weapon called just ‘Greatsword’ then yes, the twinblades are much higher DPS. but, if you like the play style of bigger weapons, there’s some greatswords that are also quite good - i recommend the Astora Greatsword or the Exile Greatsword
The reason why the Mercenary is the best build for NEW PALYERS is because of the Twinblades...I mean, I've played over a hundred playthroughs of DS3, and I doubt that having an OP weapon is enough to make a NEW player's life easy. OP this and OP that...why are people so obsessed with OP weapons...it's not the weapon that can get you through the game - it's your play style...LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME the way you play it, not how others tell you to play.
The game will be easier for a new player if they're using a weapon that deals more damage - the faster they kill the boss, the less attacks they have to dodge. That's the entire purpose of this guide - show you how to get the most OP weapon, WITHOUT explaining how to dodge/when to attack, so you can figure out your playstyle for yourself.
@pchykins6680 if one knows just the basic mechanics of the game an op weapon will get him through not just the base game but dlcs too no matter how much of a newbie he is.Besides by copying first he can eventually discover his own playstyle.Dont see anything wrong with copying someones playstyle and an op weapon. That is no matter what you say,the easiest route a newbie can take
Dont you take some damage when you parry? Thats why i dont like using it. Id rather dodge and take no damage. Unless im mistaken and you only take damage while holding block.
You don’t need parry at all when shielding and roll is so broken. Why risk missing it? There’s so many unparryable bosses and you’ll die a few times learning the parry windows.
the ladder with the 2 large titanite shards is opposite from the big door which opens when you light the 3 flames before abyss watchers - but if you want to skip abyss watchers and come back to them later, you'll need to go back to road of sacrifice and explore the area there - you'll know you're going the right way when you fight the crystal sage - keep going past him and you'll find a different area :)
taking first boss took two tries, jumping on that foof from the tree already took a 100 and l just cant. l dont its cuz of keyboard or what. pathetic jumping mechanics in this game.
yeah it's really tricky at first, especially if you are used to elden ring where you can just... jump. you can eventutally get back there without having to do the tree jump later on in the game when you buy the tower key so don't sweat it too much

@@bigbart_ ohhh didn’t know, in Elden Ring L1 is for parry only and L2 special attack
9:12 "What a thrill"
Those who know, know 😅😅😅
So I DON'T HAVE to kill the lizard at the beginning? Xdd oh...
you do not have to, it's purely optional :D
You don’t but I would definitely recommend you do because you get a lot more souls giving you a head start leveling up.
I didnt even kniw there was a lizard
After you unlock the leveling up system. One run through I lost about 7k souls because I killed the crystal dragon and ate the soul.
You can also use the magic arrow to spam the blade master to the left of the building. He will give you a great weapon.
Damn I went through like half the game without using the undead bone shards. Kinda late, but better late than never lmao.
damn you must have been chugging that estus flask like crazy
Beautiful vid and ur funny, will be coming back to this vid a lot
Thank you very much, i’m glad you like it!
I just started DS3 this week.
Man, I wish I knew about all of this at the start!
@@RishPanjeetJr u practically are at the start
Does this run. Ruin npc encounters?
no you can still complete all npc encounters this way, just make sure you complete all the steps for every npc in an area before proceeding to the next area
Hilarious intro 👍
Think I'll try it
I played 1 2 souls i wanna do the third i just wanna use some good builld, is this worth for me to use this build?
it's one of if not the best weapon in the game, and you start the game with it, so I'd recommend it if you want an easy time
@@bigbart_ and whats your opinion , as final LVL stats idk to 120 lvl ?
for a first playthrough, by the end of the game i'd say you should aim to have least 40, maybe 45 vigor, as much endurance as you feel you need based on your playstyle (probably at least 30 though) and then the rest into dexterity.
Thank you again sir.
A very informative video thank you very much
3:16 i think i need bleach for my eyes
Bro how do i two hand a weapon idk how
Y button on xbox controller, Triangle on PS controller, F on keyboard
Goated dude im in 😂❤
Thanks for watching, happy to have you!
Sorry did the same lousy jumping as you from the tree!
Sheeeeeit- I can’t jump because I’m a knight! I can only roll😔
No jumping on top of Firelink shrine for me 😳
any class can jump! press in the left joy stick while sprinting
@@bigbart_ 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I find the number 8 please help 6:36
From the dilapidated bridge bonfire, head towards the big stone arch (near which the big guy with the pot and shield on his back) then right after you go under the stone arch, turn left and go up the hill, into the building, up the stairs and then out the other side of the building. the ladder should be on your right.
i want to use the twinblades so much but it ruins the fun from fighting for me so i rather stick with my good ol' greatsword
they are indeed really OP
I googled it 😢, great video btw😅
i tried to warn you - sorry about your eyes
So im going to assume this is better than the greatsword..
If you mean the weapon called just ‘Greatsword’ then yes, the twinblades are much higher DPS. but, if you like the play style of bigger weapons, there’s some greatswords that are also quite good - i recommend the Astora Greatsword or the Exile Greatsword
I cannot for the life of me find the lizard at 14:54
It's on the platform, above the giant where his arms rest :)
Ahhhhh that's right! Thanks so much
The reason why the Mercenary is the best build for NEW PALYERS is because of the Twinblades...I mean, I've played over a hundred playthroughs of DS3, and I doubt that having an OP weapon is enough to make a NEW player's life easy.
That is no matter what you say,the easiest route a newbie can take
LEARN TO PARRY. This skill will save you against a lot of enemies even bosses.
Except, parry frames of medium shield are notoriously awfully synced in ds3, and poise system gives you very few reasons for learning them.
@@itsmystic9075 if you mistime the parry, you’ll still take partial damage. You’ll lose no health if you parry at the right time
@@zacharylower8846 my god your actually a life saver. Welp time to grind and figure out how to parry correctly.
Step one: customise your character for 3 hours
9:14 snake !!???!!??
SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!!!!!
Where is the ladder at so I can skip abyss watchers
the ladder with the 2 large titanite shards is opposite from the big door which opens when you light the 3 flames before abyss watchers - but if you want to skip abyss watchers and come back to them later, you'll need to go back to road of sacrifice and explore the area there - you'll know you're going the right way when you fight the crystal sage - keep going past him and you'll find a different area :)
Thank you ashen one
no problem ashen one
Tells me not to search "Pump a Rum".... does it anyway... doesn't get it 😏
what an intro
pls make a vid like this abt demon souls 😭
12:33 real?
idk i think it would be quite nice, like a warmed up cashmere scarf wrapped around your face
Does naming your character “easy mode” make the game easy?
No lol
I level what i want because im a god at dark souls games
understandable have a good day
happy prime week
amazon loves the lgtb community
Don't try to do the firelink shrine tree skip unless you want to waste your time, many people can't pull it off
I'm playing sekiro first, and then dark souls. I think I'm right .l
Google Pump-a-Rum. What's wrong with a cute harpy girl?
a lot as it turns out
I wish I didn't 3:16
I tried to warn you!
taking first boss took two tries, jumping on that foof from the tree already took a 100 and l just cant. l dont its cuz of keyboard or what. pathetic jumping mechanics in this game.
yeah it's really tricky at first, especially if you are used to elden ring where you can just... jump. you can eventutally get back there without having to do the tree jump later on in the game when you buy the tower key so don't sweat it too much
Yeah, easy mode lol
i hate pontif
This game is not for me
Oh fr?🙏🏻
This game is for you and everyone, don't give up!
