BobaTeaCuber I’d argue otherwise. Jesse and Dylan both do different types of videos on their channel, meaning that they aren’t comparable. They are one of the best at what they do, though.
Huh, I never thought about differentiating overall/official times with PB/PR, but that system actually makes a lot more sense. I'd totally want to switch over, as long as people actually understand the difference. Also, I found my hands at 6:01. :P
Definitely a very helpful diagram, I usually get confused when hearing about these different sets of LL algs but with the diagram it makes so much more sense.
tbh I didn't know you were the one calling it kibiminx, I just had the impression that kibiminx was an original puzzle name. guess you did make an impact haha
The one issue I see is how at comps people will sometimes yell "PB" if they get a OPB/PR but if someone yelled "PR" people could very easily hear it as "CR" or something and flock over to this random kid who got a 4 on 2x2
I remember struggling for sub 50 but now i average 16 on 3x3. And i have been cubing since April 2018. I cant wait to continue improving because of you. Btw, i love my spook ghost cube shirt. Very creative on the eyes. Good job.
I use a different parity alg. I think that I learned it from Noah Richardson's "How to Solve a 4x4" tutorial, and I've been using it ever since r' U2 l F2 l' F2 r2 U2 r U2 r' U2 F2 r2 F2
I learned that one from SergsB in his tutorial of the easiest way to memorize the parity algorithm. After playing around with it a bit, I realized that if you swap out the lowercase letters with wide moves (example: r -> Rw), the algorithm turns from just orienting the edge to Lucas Parity. Another thing I figured out is that if you’re doing parity before the start of 3x3x3 stage, you don’t have to do the last F2, because that is a 3x3x3 move and just modifies the scramble.
7:42 J Perm's definition of acronym is not actually correct. Whereas CFOP is an acronym because you pronounce it as a word, OH, F2L and ZBLL are initialisms, because you pronounce each individual letter
You can see it is like a cousin to 1LLL but their difference is MBLL is not in the CO area. That means all the cases of MBLL are going to do: EO, CP and EP, but not CO. Which means MBLL is kinda like a set up to purely flipped LL corners. Just imagine it as EO and PLL combined.
An abbreviation is the shortening of a word or phrase. An initialism, such as OH or F2L, is when you say each letter separately, whereas an acronym, such as NATO, is where the initials are said as a word.
I lost my wuque recently so I wanna buy a new 4x4, do you there will be a new 4x4 coming out soon that's better than the wuque M and aosu M? Cuz if not I'll just buy one of those, but I don't want to spend a lot of money on that if a new better cube is coming really soon
Given the nitpicking between abbreviation and acronym, it should be pointed out that everything there except cfop was actually an initialism, since it's not pronounced as a word
I actually never found the meaning of ‘counting’ for a long time and when i did, i was like why what why cant someone make a video describing this. Thx jperm
There's a mistake in the video - Drew parity actually doesn't exist, it's supposed to be called Jacob parity instead for Jacob Hutnyk. This is a common misconception that needs to be addressed Also, at 6:35 you said "2 people 1 cube" and rob's challenge immediately afterward lol they're the same thing
Oh yeah you're right about the rob's challenge - I was just being dumb/confused because people call those "team solves" And yeah people call it drew parity for drew brads but people have brought it up to him many times and he claims he never popularized it at all, and the conclusion was that it was actually Jacob who spread the alg around with his old cubingworld vids I'm pretty sure
Does Sub mean the ceiling of the time? (A ceiling is no matter what the decimal is, it rounds to the next number. For example, the ceiling of 4.1 is 5.)
I don't get how people are faster with Lucas-parity. Sure, the second part is fast but the double regrip at the start is soooo slow. (Btw JPerm in this video at 3:22 is faster with Drew-parity: ~2.0 s vs. Lucas-parity at 3:32: ~2.2 s (measured at 0.25x replay speed with a time and multiplied by 4)).
0:48 Haha no offence that’s literally why the US still hasn’t changed from imperial to metric Similarly, WB and PR seem much more consistent and easier just like the metric system but people have become so accustomed to the other that they refuse to change

Hello Z3Cubing!
You got some fine hands
How to solve Parity:
1. Throw cube away
2. Buy new one
3. Repeat
Only one problem, the timers gonna time out because of shipping time.
I use this parity alg,my PB is 2 days
That 4 way Venn diagram for EO/EP/CO/CP was actually super helpful
I was about to say that lol
yes, all graphics with that font in my videos are from me :)
actually I googled the Venn diagram shapes but put the words in myself
Definitely a very helpful diagram, I usually get confused when hearing about these different sets of LL algs but with the diagram it makes so much more sense.
Isn’t that a carroll diagram?
Great video! I think this'll be really useful for a lot of people, not just new cubers. I'd be lying if I said I didn't learn anything. :)

J-Perm, you are one of the few good people who put the thumbnail at the beginning of the video and not at the end or not in the video at all.
That CO/EO/CP/EP diagram made me wonder: what if we did CLL and ELL instead of OLL and PLL? Then we could transfer our CLL algorithms over to 2x2

i use another parity
was it cuberazn's parity? udk someones easy parity

On the CO/CP/EO/EP chart what is MBLL? Like what does it stand for and what does it do? I can’t find any information about it anywhere.
