On this day, ten years ago, @FloorJansenOfficial performed with us for the first time, and the rest is history and history in the making. 🔥 For this occasion we share with you a live video of us performing Storytime over all these years, starting at our first show together.

I can’t believe how fast the time has traveled and how many amazing adventures we have had since that first show in Seattle, USA! I am deeply grateful for all these years and want to thank the band and our crew for everything, and of course our dearest fans! ❤

Hello Floor, hello Nightwish. Congrats. I hope your journey never ends. ♥️
I remember my wife and I sitting in our shared office ten years ago. We had heard that Nightwish had parted ways with their second singer Anette, and we were going back and forth about who the next lead singer for the band could be. Oddly enough, we had stumbled on Floor months earlier when we found After Forever on TH-cam, and both of us agreed that having Floor sing for Nightwish would have been a fantastic if seemingly impossible dream come true. A short time later we were both floored by the announcement.
It's been ten wonderful years, and we still can't believe our wish came true. Here's to ten more.

This also happened to me, though only in my mind lol. I've been a fan of After Forever for a couple years already when they let Annete go, so this kept coming back to my mind that having Floor sing with nightwish would be a dream come true, and it did! (probably the only dream to come true in my life lmao XD)
In an old youtube video I once wrote a comment (rant) about Annette and I used Floor of Afterforever as an example of a singer who would be a better fit for Nightwish!! I couldn't find that video anymore 😮💨. I wish I could

I love Emppu and his cheeky grins. I love this whole band!
It was Nightwish that saved my life. I was in a real darkplace after being raped and was going to take my life. I sat on the sofa crying, radio blasting, a knife at my throat, then Nightwish came on the radio and saved me. If only Tuomas, Floor, Emppu, Troy, Jukka and Kai and past members Jukka and Marko, Tarja, Anette and Sami knew what Nightwish meant to me. I totally love them and not a day passes when i dont listen to them. Im forever greatful.

@@FromG2eminor Thank you. I rarely tell my story as i dont want sympathy. The hardest part was the nightmares then getting scared to close my eyes. I know how Jukka felt with insomnia. It sucks the life out of you. Ive had lots of therapy so things have got better but have been left with PTSD but at least im not having the dark thoughts of my soul leaving my body.
Shannon, thank you for sharing your story! Not only is a good thing that you're getting better, but also, you can help others to get better too. I believe our mind always has a great potencial to heal, to grow and evolve, so, yes, better days are yet to come. And if they bring along Nightwish music, well, it will be amazing! 😊🤟
@@PaulaAlexPinto Thank you. Many people think Nightwish songs are dark and deep. It depends how you interpret the words, but with Floors voice its hard to interpret the words as dark and they bring me joy, they make me smile and my soul no longer feels that its time to leave my body and having such catchy tunes even the heavy riffs bring a sense of power to me that no music has given me. Nightwish continue to help in my healing. I remember after Wacken 2013 i was so on a high with Euphoria i didnt sleep for two days, it was like a comedown from drugs. I got that feeling again in 2015 after Wembley, i adore Tuomas for his genius, Emppu for his guitar playing and cheekyness, Troy for his talent as a multi instrumentalist and his voice which goes perfect with Floors. Then theres Kai. I was a die hard Jukka fan and still miss him terribly but he kills it everytime and has a gorgeous smile. Jukka is going to take me time though as ive always been a big fan off Marko and miss his growl but also the softness he has in his voice and his smile. One thing i can say is all the members of Nightwish past and present are so humble and dont act above themselves like some do. Then theres Floor. Omg where do i start. Her voice is everything, soft, eloquent, beautiful. Her operatic tones, her folk tones, her rock tones, her pitch, her elocution of words, how she commands each performance. Tarja and Anette for me never had the sense of command in how they controlled the audience. Floor is just so special. I was at Live Aid in 86 to see Queen and never thought i would see any band that could surpass Queen then Nightwish and Wacken 2013 came along and blew me away. Tuomas omg his writing, composing, arranging and producing. He for me is the Godfather. He is pure brilliance. I could go on and on with my feelings and thoughts on each member of Nightwish and how much they all mean to me. Im a 53 year old woman and i cried when Jukka and Marko left. Wintersun have lost two great guys with Kai and Jukka.
Right im offski. I need to make dinner then im watching a Nightwish concert dvd.

I can't forget the day when I heard her singing live infront of me, that was the first time I burst into tears by hearing someone's voice. It was so magical, hope Nightwish adds South Korea for their tour in Asia ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Floor still does that to me. I will often weep when I hear her sing. Her voice just really gets deep into my soul. Well and I do love the songs too.

one of the best shows i've ever been to, even though this 2 meters tall guy parked right in front of me, and parts i could only see through his cellphone...
We knew, from the very first stage, that it was so obvious as decision. This videos shows everything, how Floor is super welcome when entering on stage on 2012, and the confidence she has taken from this moment, the changes, her attitude and how she s giving and living it more and more !

Honestly, that's one of the most incredible things about this whole situation. Normally, replacement band members need to earn their way into the fans' hearts. At least if they're not a well-known name among the people. And especially if it's a sudden change like with Annette, but that first crowd in Seattle greeted her like one of their own. Like she belonged on that stage from the start. And then she sang and the fans knew.
Though I wonder what the 2nd show in this video is. That's not Seattle, Floor has a completely different outfit on, and Tuomas is wearing a hat on stage. It didn't have a popup label.
Band and fans are extremely lucky ones that Floor came along ten years ago😍🔥💯🙏♥️

I was so blessed to see Floor's first show with Nightwish in Seattle for my birthday. As I was standing in line for the show, someone said that Nightwish had a new singer filling in. I felt so disappointed and worried that she would not live up to my expectations. When Floor began to sing, I was so blown away and was instantly a fan! To this day, I feel so grateful to have been to that show in Seattle. I will never forget it!

Wacken 2013 was a strange feeling Nightwish without Anette! I didn’t know how to feel about it all. My first time hearing Floor sing & my mind was blown, my heart soared, that day was one of the most magical experiences of my life, I’ve never felt so elated, so one with the crowd, the music, people cried, sang & rejoiced, I’ve never experienced anything like that since. Oh yes joy & unity where ever the Nightwish Army join forces but not like Wacken 2013. Congratulations @Floor Jansen ❤ You are just simply magical ❤ Much love, peace & respect 🔥
