As a foster child, this is beautiful, I want to adopt one day.
We are adopting a little girl and it has not been easy but to see her growth has been worth it. I can't wait to see this film.

Such a beautiful story. I've been a foster parent since 2019 and this year we started a nonprofit to help families adopting siblings from foster care. My husband and I recently adopted our three boys who were formally our foster sons.
Christian Bale and his wife just built the first foster homes to keep siblings together in LA!
@@Canyonradio that is so beautiful. Thank you for telling me. I definitely want to get in contact with them. One of our organization's long term goals is to have real estate available. But one of our current programs pays rent for people (more geared to family members) to be able to have an additional room or two to house the siblings. Relatives have priority when children come into care but most don't just have additional rooms in their homes. Talking to caseworkers over the years family members do things to make it work just to make sure the kids stay within the family. My 3 boys had 3 brothers who were adopted by a family member before them. When they came along and knew she couldn't do any more. Taking in the kids ruined her financially because of daycare cost, just something she wasn't expecting, she thought the state would continue to help.
Since I was a little girl I have always wanted to adopt a child. Thank you for reminding me of that dream. I will see the movie & allow The Lord to order my steps. Blessings to everyone who was a part of this project & to all those who see the movie💜
I've had that same dream from very young. Praying God will make a way as well if it's His will.

What I appreciated is this film didn’t sugar coat the problems these children have-as a result of their early lives. These can be life long, and need community, faith filled supportive people in their lives. I like many of the lines, but a reference to Psalm 23-I can’t remember the exact words but it went like this- you need God more when you aren’t in the green pastures. This is a film I will see again.

Many kids are forever traumatized not only from their own family but also from some foster parents who might abuse them 😢

Thank you for this beautiful story!...After reading about the West Virginia couple who enslaved their adopted Black kids, hearing of adopted Ethiopian children being "indoctrinated" into certain lifestyles by the adopted parents, and watching the movie "A Chance in the World," about philanthropist and executive Steve Pemberton, who was abused by his foster family, I prayed that all foster kids be adopted by GODLY families who would love them...Thank you so much to this church community that acted with the compassion of Christ toward these children. ❤
Praise God for this wonderful world He has created and the lives He so intimately in the lives in. Thank you, Bishop, for allowing God to shine through you. Thank you, Letitia for being the messenger of God's goodness. We see and hear plenty of what the church is not doing. I appreciate you both for being that voice in today's wilderness.
I grew up in children's home, the only difference is the home parents are employees of the children home and it was a pretty big size campus but the bond was pretty strong. We still keep in touch with some of my foster brothers and the home parents.
I also grew up in a children's home , with 29 other children. They were beyond caring to us . And like you said, a lot of us still stay in touch. They are truly like family. I am good friends with the directors from the home . Bless you so much

That interviewer was a true professional and a rooted Black woman-she acknowledged that Bushop's work is God's work at the end. Not typical in secular media and a nod to the Divine and His place over our people's cultures. God bless this church and their work and may it inspire other churches, masjids, temples, praise houses and all folks of faith to d the same.
May the Lord richly bless the families that have taken these children. Hopefully, the children will grow up loved in safe environments

For the individual or individuals who didn’t think black people adopted children.🤔 It is sad, but this movie based on a true story will not get the respect it deserves. For “ANYONE” who genuinely is willing to take a child that isn’t their own should be “APPLAUDED & PRAISED”
Actually, statistically Black people adopt proportionately more than any other ethnicity in America. The majority of these adoptions are by families.

Honey, in the poor, African-American community I grew up in, every kid that was abused, thrown away or neglected was "unofficially" adopted by one of the MANY Big Mommas. They didn't need court documentation or government intervention - a child in need was just taken in. Sad that MSM don't highlight just how many African-American do adopt.

Many of the parents this foster kids come from are not exactly saints either.
I'm a foster parent and I say there are 3 types of people who would actually want to do the work.... Ones who are just selfless, ones looking to adopt, and the ones with bad motives.

It takes the church to put a hand in the rescue of the children: we have grandkids that would have been children in the abuse system.
I hope they do right by those kids honestly and wholeheartedly and complete the task ahead through the good and most definitely the bad times coming, Jehovah never promises a rose garden but he said he'll definitely see you through once you are his friend and have a good relationship with him so best of times on your journey.❤❤

I know Bishop Martin personally and he and his wife ,family and all are good decent peoples,very talent as his brothers and sister was raised up and bought up in Faltine Baptist Church and his late brother Rev Herman Martin was once the pastor of Faltine Baptist church and two of his other brothers are ministers too. They can preach and sing as well and Bishop and his little brother Rev Frank Martin just did the revival at Faltine Baptist church and it was awesome to have them come back home to the church they was raised up in

No just any church, but a church where God is present and the Holy Spirit resides can be trusted to look after these children
