- Terry Meeuwsen, the founder of Orphan's Promise shares a story from Possum Trot. The town of Possum Trot, Texas, is so small you won't find it on a map. What you will find is a church of 200 people with hearts so huge, they've adopted more than 70 foster children.
This story is from October 2011.

You know that this is based off late 90s? These children were all adopted by the town different families there and are adults now. There’s a movie as it says coming soon about the way the story was in the news back then. They are no longer children.

I loved the movie. I am so happy I got to see it on the opening day. I hope everyone gets to see it. I hope all children feel loved like these children were.

This movie showed the realities of the commitment to do the right thing for these children. It is a rough road for them and their Foster parents. Even with their human frailties, they picked themselves back up and put their hands into the mighty hand of Jesus to lead them forward. I believe pert' near everyone has something they can gain by watching this movie. It won't leave you quickly. I was so blessed to be able to see it and I will be seeing it again.

Look into fair use laws and just make commentary over it or talk in between sections of it, giving credit following whatever other laws, and add there is a movie coming out on July 4 about this.

Did they only taks in black children or did they take in any white or Hispanic children? Like why only black children because white and Hispanic children get taken into foster care just as often especially with the drug epidemic...
Probably because the state sent “ the worst “ the unwanted children. Most families want young cute white kids. Black and Hispanic children have a much lower chance of long term placement. Also the system gives you a few choices after your paperwork and evaluations and the kind of just call you up and lay out a profile 7 and ask if you can take the kid(s)
