Good job in both winning and catching them cheating! Crazy that you need to have a camera to do that, banning them all from competition should the only thing
This event was around October/November 2023 i believe. Very happy for Lou, excellent forensics, also quite lucky to capture the specific evidence as the GoPro batteries only last about an hour.
It's sad that it took an outside media journalist to motivate the UCI to act. They were dragging their feet on it and hoping it would fade away. But they ruled on the men's issue quickly.
Bravo! Emily for her helpful inquiries and the whole Cade Media team for building an enterprise that apparently carries weight. Cheaters stink. We all have an obligation to call them out.
Emily you are a champion! Not only do you speak for women being preyed upon, those battling mental illness, and now amateurs being scammed by others! Wow!! You rock! (the boys are lucky you're there!)
I have another example of an italian banned for 6 years after being caught stealing epo via a hospital, selling and using. He appealed and was reduced to 4 years. Xx started racing worlds the year he returned and either he’s very talented or still doing as I go to altitude and still finished 4th twice to him and his 2 italian friends. Testing needed please.
So I use to race a lot of the Super Enduro races in Italy and a lot of the liaison stages were brutal. Race a stage and then have an hour to get to the next stage. I remember Italians on mopeds hiding with tow ropes waiting to pull riders.
@@morapelimokokomali7907You can bet there you find all the motors that the Hungarian guy invented that add 250 watts to your pedaling. I qualified (just) but the top three in my 50-55 year old master division would have placed in the pro division. The speeds of masters racing is INSANE.
Unfortunately this is a story as old as time. Did Haute Route a number of years back and on one of the climbs multiple people including myself watched a Russian team’s van towing multiple riders up the climb. Multiple people to organizers and were told we need video proof and did nothing about it.
@13:00 you didn't mind that competitors were breaking the rules?? That's incomprehensible and a dis-service to the racing community. Where does it end and which rules are ok to be broken??
Aren’t the details of how the Ruskis accomplished this really secondary? Isn’t the bigger question, why does the UCI continue to allow Russia in international competitions? Also, why aren’t these Ruskis on the frontlines for the make benefit glory of Mother Russia? 😒
Im sure I'll get flamed for saying it but cheating is endemic in Russian society. Ive been married to one and around Russians for 20 years and I was shocked at what they think is permissible even in every day life....
It's the old technique criminals use: dress and act like you're meant to be there and no one will question it! Clever technique though and it obviously works, provided you're not caught that is.
I don’t know why they didn’t enter the race. This is basically just a sportive (I’ve done the uk equivalent and the worlds), and they could have just entered and acted as a team mate.
Because the lady in pink jumps in at the 50k mark, fresh, and keeps the winner in white out of the wind for 20/30 ks at a speed neither were capable of doing unaided from the start.
If the guy just signed up for the mens race and its a mass start. There would be presumably nothing illegal about her sitting on his wheel all day. Why didn't they just do that instead of sneaking into the event hahah
Firstly, well done Lou! Secondly, can the Russians ever take part in sport without cheating?...Or anything else for that matter Thirdly, Team Impulse should be punished as they quite obviously knew what the plan was. I await my dose of novachock to arrive in my mailbox soon 😅
Well done all. Cheating is cheating. You would give them slack of they might not have known if they finished in the middle or end of the field, but not on the podium.
So crazy wasn’t it? Thank you for your support! 💖💖💖
Good job in both winning and catching them cheating!

Craziest thing I have heard
Well done, Lou!! Man, woman, or other...if you cheat you deserve to be called out and DQ'd.
I was on that race, those ladies joined our group in the middle of the race and I thought, wow! great job :)))
Love that you kept UCI honest!
This event was around October/November 2023 i believe.
Very happy for Lou, excellent forensics, also quite lucky to capture the specific evidence as the GoPro batteries only last about an hour.
I'd ban the athletes for at least 2 years, maybe 4, and I'd disqualify the whole team from that event, because that is systemic cheating.
It's sad that it took an outside media journalist to motivate the UCI to act. They were dragging their feet on it and hoping it would fade away. But they ruled on the men's issue quickly.
That's because the UCI hate women and cannot be for any other reason
soviets are paying ppl to look the other way

Please investigate PFP Doping in UCI mountain bike races. 👍🏼
Bravo Louise!🎉
Hey Frances how would you know if invisibility cloaks exist, since you would not be able to see them ?? Discuss...
Great job Emily!
Glad to see her at the world’s this year in Denmark which is basically 200 km from my house!
Holy smokes. Good job BBC 😉

People do this in fondos every time. In women's categories not the strongest rider but the one with the most male friends wins.
Having friends is a strength :)
soo why the races men/women/mix are at same time ? divide it in 3 with 1h start gap or so
There were only 7 starters in the women's 44-49 category anyway.
So much trouble & ensuing drama just to get in the top half of a small field
I saw this same story last year with the same footage. Not sure it’s a breaking story.
Actually, it was on Louise TH-cam channel.
So I use to race a lot of the Super Enduro races in Italy and a lot of the liaison stages were brutal. Race a stage and then have an hour to get to the next stage. I remember Italians on mopeds hiding with tow ropes waiting to pull riders.
Ok that was so wrong but so hilarious at the same time. Cheating in cycling is such a problem

@domestique3954 no way 🤣, so they his the motor and gained massive advantage? So it compensated for the extra weight I guess?
@jamesallway5934 🤣 wow, I wonder how you felt as a competitor seeing that?
How can you possibly think this was a misunderstanding of the rules?
mind blown. incredible content

Either inconceivable ignorance to UCI rules or mammoth arrogance!
Cheats!!
Wow, this is really unbelievable. Thanks for deep diving.
I wonder if the female rider feels anything like regret?
Facepalm alert!
Hasn’t this been on before or is this a new incident?
Russia cheating? Noooooo, can’t be 🤡
What? Russians cheating at sport? Say it isn't so? That's so weird!
Ahh that had me confused.. I thought it was another example.. it was literally deja vu (on the Wild Ones Podcast!)
Well done Emily and well done Louise on making world's 👊💪
Did you try to contact the team and ask about their motivation? Would be great to hear that side as well.
Outstanding!
Russia. Say no more.
I guess that’s what Putin means when he says Russia has the best hypersonic weapons. 😏
So there was official race photos showing the drafting and they still did nothing
Interesting, and nice catch. Of course, no reason to think Russians would approach cycling any differently than they do other sports.
Great job fellas!
Why I'm not surprised that rushist are cheating?
It must be freezing where you are filming this Cade Media Extra? or is Antarctic Fashion Clothing Appaeal a new sponsor of the broadcast?
Bravo! What a cool story.

This is easy.

but who was the mystery fast af rider and why wasnt she just racing ?
Classic Russia... Even in sports competitions, all they can do is cheat.

@cadeteam Stay away from umbrellas and balconies for a few weeks.
Just use rim brakes vs a heavy disc bike and get the marginal gains. Draft off the bros. Easy!

It is in that county’s DNR. Still surprised they somehow can race as “neutrals”.
Wait, what? I'v seen it already🤔
It's the old technique criminals use: dress and act like you're meant to be there and no one will question it! Clever technique though and it obviously works, provided you're not caught that is.
cheating is riding in a peleton, or a pace line or drafting, to get a KOM or a better time/PR, roadies do that all the time on every occasion :/

Feels like NATO should step in on this? Have you reported it to them?

I wonder how the sole honest Russian athlete feels. Maybe these are just competing like they do in Russia.
There isn’t an honest Russian athlete. The cheating is sanctioned by the state. Required, in fact.
When did Cade Media get bought by the BBC? 🤣
It's a real pity that people still want to cheat a real pity don't people learn
