@@SIMULACRA37 I love the idea of damage sharing balls and tanks with war factories making more balls and tanks, adding to the collective, making the original packs more tanky, buying them time to leech/regen. I think you need a really bad opponent to get anywhere with it though 😅
I tested, just to make sure: AP Bullets for Sledges don't do +50% damage (like similar upgrades for Fangs, Mustangs and Wasps which all do +50%, Sledges kinda break the mold), they do a whooping +150% damage. Effectively it works out to doubling DPS (due to the fire rate reduction) and with Mech Rage it becomes more than triple DPS compared to non-upgraded. In fact, from my testing even if you unlock it after AP rounds Mech Rage's attack interval reduction applies before the +20% to attack interval from AP Bullets, which means it stacks more favorable.

Regarding sledges potential dmg. If you have dmg 14.000 with an item and you do upgrade armor piercing bullet upgrade. You wont get 150% out of 14.000 which would be a lot but from base dmg which is at lvl 7 = 5532. Item +200% goes to 14k dmg and armor piercing bullets with 150% goes to 12k. And if you combine both stats you get 5532 (base)+ 9k(200% item) + 6500 (armor piercing upgrade). Which is roughly 21k. Btw max dmg for sledges is 29k.
I always pick up extended rangd sledghammers before round4. If I already have some sledgehammers even up to round 7. The amount of dps combined with overdrive/extended range and the card is insane. Chaffclearer and giantkilling monsters after lvl 3.
This reminds me of a game I just played where I went with assault marksman in the last round. Fully teched (Assault, range, anti-tech?, elite) Marksman doing 45+k per shot... melting giants like crazy! I love seeing something different like this!
@@CobStrategy that's exactly what I save it for! If you have a bunch of them it can really turn the tide. Clears chaff, and air units so we'll. Fully upgraded they're just nasty.

Damage sharing always seemed kind of meh, but if you've got an entire squad of Sledgies helping and healing one guy, that's a pretty TANKY line.

@@Chromodar yeah. The sad part is a single pack of steel balls or melting points can kill everything.

My Mmr was 300 at this game and I’ve been learning a lot and I’m now 600 and still on a win streak.

carry sledgies are so funny. I agree about AP rounds on them, not good, but funny.

First game was so painfull to watch. Super odd tech on sledges, no chaff on other side. So sad

why no use scorpions with acid and range will solve the sledge hammer problem 😪

I meant mid/low in cost vs, for example, Scorps, Fortresses, Overlords etc.
