All the clubs think they are United's rivals, even clubs like Tottenham who won't sell Harry Kane to United, but I'm sure would to City. A game against United is a cup final for all the teams.
The funny thing is people don't realise if City keeps this up (to continue dominating for years), they are going to be the new Man United. United are hated simply because they are so successful during the Fergie era (Liverpool was hated too after the 80s but it has toned down coming into the 2000s because their dominance wasn't so frequent). Well now, United are not so successful and City are going to dominate for years which I can totally see them overtaking Man United as the most hated team in England in the next 10/20 years.

@@mh4841 exactly. If it were any other club experiencing a 10 year winning drought in the PL, people wouldn't mind them winning it again. But if its United, they are terrified. They reason why they are so scared United gets taken over by Qatari is because they know if it actually goes through, all the other clubs in the PL and potentially world football will be in trouble. Utd's global outreach and history is massive, with that kind of money, United will not only EASILY go back to winning ways, they would easily surpass City again into being a more successful club. Thats because teams like Man Utd (and Liverpool) are built different. With the right fundings and resources, they will easily achieve success again (because its in the club's DNA). And with the massive fan support and rich history, they would find winning a competition like the UCL much easier than teams like City for example.

Manchester united are literally factually not "THE United". One, youre not formed by two clubs coming together and "uniting" together and two, manchester adopted the "united" after the likes of newcastle and other clubs with "united" at the end of their game. Yeah I noticed this a little while ago and even Eddie Howe and EtH have had a couple awkward moments... I've never seen such a one sided rivalry before 😂. I mean it could become a proper one especially if Sheikh Jassim gets the club but as things stand, their obsession is kind of weird.
