      Hi Gbuijs, Thanks :) I have to say we are loving the Loqed Lock finding it so easy to use and helpful. Never though that a Lock could be helpful but with having to go away due to family emergency and needing to get people in to look after the Dog and fish this has been so great. Unlocking automaticity or with just a touch so great when carrying shopping.
      I am hoping to do the Home Assistant video soon, so far behind because of the said family emergencies.
      Hope you subscribed and clicked the bell notification button so you know when we release the new videos. All the best Dave

    Helpful review! It looks like from your video that you do not need to leave a geofenced area to then be able to unlock. You can just walk out of your house, lock it, and then touch it to unlock? That's handy as I'd have this on a back door so I can open it when I'm already in the house but I've walked around the back. I presume this isn't a battery drain on your phone?

      Hi Phil,
      Auto Unlock requires you to leave the geofenced area but pin and touch to unlock does not. There may be a smaller area for it to retrigger the wake of the lock. I find it normally is happy to touch to unlock if I cross the street and back, but staying on our drive which is about a cars length it will not wake the touch to unlock function.

      Hi Tipstop, Thanks glad to be back.
      We are really enjoying the new LOQED Lock. Definitely worth getting. We will be doing an x-month living with it review video.
      We have so much going on at the moment that it's hard to keep up. We have lots of Videos recorded just need to edit them. More planned recording as well. :)

      @@tipstop725 Hi TipsTop, Yes this is our main lock and it works great, so easy to get in with all the shopping and supporting my wife who has mobility issues. Leaving is also a breeze with a twist of the handle and tap on the screen. Great Lock love it.
      Nice to hear from you again Tips
      All the best Dave

    I want to buy this lock but I do not have a backdoor.
    Is it reliable enough for a frontdoor without alternative entry to the house?

      @BrenTeckITSupport  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hi Richi, So far the Loqed Lock has never failed to open for me. I have not experienced flat batteries yet so can not comment on how reliable the 9V backup terminals are on the front touch sensor but the app does show you the battery percentage giving you plenty of opportunity to charge or replace batteries in time. So yes I would be happy to have this as my only lock.
      Hope this helps and that you subscribed as I will be doing more Loqed Lock videos.
      Kind regards Dave

    Thanks for the great review. I also bought it. I actually have a question regarding the door handle on the inside. Mine doesn’t come back to its position, i need to lift it and it doesn’t stay straight. It’s not stiff. Do you have that issue too, or maybe I missed something during the installation?

      Hi Shanedely, if you look at this part of the video th-cam.com/video/8aVovYLc6lc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SkNplW5fVY3_C0b0&t=1274 you will see a black plastic with sprigs in on the old outside handle. This is what puts the handle back to the centre position. My original door handle had one on the inside and one on the outside. I assumed this was normal so did not mention it. Look at your old lock to see if there is a spring of some sort to hold it in place. You may be able to move it from the old inside handle to the outside one. If you have it on both the spring might just be week and need to swap them over.
      I hope this helps and that you subscribed as I will be doing more Loqed Lock videos, Kind regards Dave.

    Can you confirm new loqed locks do NOT have a front face? I also have a yale lock, but I doubt I stil have the old bits

      Hi Javier Mitchell, Yes I can confirm that the Loqed lock does not come with a front handle. If you have not kept your old one you can pick a new one from any DIY store. Hope this helps. We are loving the Loqed lock. It's great for when we are away and need a friend to look after the house.

    So when you leave the house and close the door the motor starts up. How does it know the door is closed, is there a door sensor?

    • @BrenTeckITSupport
      @BrenTeckITSupport  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Virtious, This feature is now disabled for new users. I think it worked by sensing shock/movement of the door, then just assuming it is closed. So it did not always work. Hence they have removed it from the setting in the production model. I have made a suggestion that if it could be a handle position sensor then this would work for lift to look. This all said the touch to lock works perfectly as does the twist assist. Hope this answers your question. I intend to make a follow up video on the Loqed Touch Smart Lock as my opinion of it has only improved as we feel its benefits more and more. So hope you subscribed to catch the next video.

    Review was going well but got fed up with a thousand adds

    • @BrenTeckITSupport

      Hi Jack, I have had a look and yes there were a lot by default. I have removed about 5 ad brakes from there default setup and spread the rest out more. Thanks for the feed back it real is important to get constructive criticism. We need to keep adds in the videos as most of our income is form ad revenue at the moment and the cost of buying new recording equipment and products to review is so high we need every penny we can get. What we hope for is getting Patreons www.patreon.com/BrenTeck or PayPal donations www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=M6LWQN95S7FTG
      Thanks again for you constructive criticism, I will try to keep an eye on this for the longer videos in the future as well. Hope you subscribed and all the best Dave
