Had a conversation with a friend last night about so much of this great podcast. So wonderful to have a place to come regularly and hear these things truly addressed in such a positive context. Where movement forward uplifts. Anna Malaika, to hear you address black women are just human..oh. My heart breaks. But so good to just hear it spoken of beautifully. Michael, going into beyond emotion of anger and having the list of feelings..Ahh!

Anna Malaika Tubbs and Michael Tubbs resonate with a presence of the chieftains of yore! Though I despise geeking out over "celebrities", I may legit give into enthusiasm and joy were I to see them in person 😄

What a great couple....LOVE to hear these stories about couples, from couples with a journey of growth, individually and together...Anna and Michael, Emily and Justin. Sharing their path on all these wonderful topics the podcast focus on. I wish for more episodes like this, even though I like single guests too. Thank you again to all 5 of you!!!

Liz, Jamey, Justin....I have been listening to your podcast for over a year now and It has being a wonderful journey. Your guests, their lifes, your questions (OMG I LOVE your questions that open deep reflexions that make them and makes us go to places we haven't gone before and allow them and allow us to grow from unconfortable places). Thank you for help us transform our way of thinking, our lifes, to realize and clean things from our mind (for me specially on topics such race and gender discrimination). The energy of the 3 of you together is precious. Thank you for being so open about your personal journey It moves me deeply. That the Light within you remains shinning and touching lots of Hearts!

I want to highlight 41:40 (regards to praising for minimal parent acts) because *I am not very fond of modern day parenting where simple acts are the greatest forms of admiration.* It's SIMPLY DEGRADING. I don't know how the heck society has settled for the lowest point, but I think its HORRIBLE for hierarchal children today! I think the next chain in line for the underprivileged is people with special needs/disabilities, most alarmingly the ones with the autistic spectrum conditions (which, ahem, FYI: is not well documented for the adult population.)
Since April is the so-called "Autism Awareness Month", there's a rise of acceptance to these so-called, self-described, alleged "Autism Moms" or "Autism Dads", typical people who have not murdered or harmed their special needs child and therefore they are the greatest parents known to man and their ego is so beyond their own hierarchal child; to the point the child can loose autonomy at such a young age - and worse for life - Hence why I use the phrase "hierarchal children" to imply some may be well into consenting age. Some of the super-parents without capes often are exploiting their own child's deficiencies in the modern world of social media, they are often seen as speaking the truth in their power.
Sadly my mother gave me life more than three decades ago and to this day, that act is still her highest accomplishments. Yeah... want a cookie? Have at it cuz I lost my power years ago! And she had me young too, and whenever the SLIGHTEST, GENTLE acts of challenging her privilege or status, it's like taking down the Ivory Tower. The feedback from my I-E-P team from the late 20th Century of the greatest-of-all-time of special needs parents would take another 2 decades to get into her ego and sadly, she has used this to keep my autonomy at lowest level possible. In freckn' America of all places... so much for "freedom [with responsibility]"
As I see parents getting away with so many social infractions in society, I am becoming less skeptical of Western culture *but more cynical.* It's a corruption of power that unless gets checked, will harm more and more children as they age, typical or atypical. Pay attention to Gen Z down the road, from what I observe, they could be an indicator in future years.
