I've been asked about the Shogun FLEX vs the Unitree Pumps... As far as I can tell, they are the same thing. So worth a shot to check out both depending on your preferences: Unitree Pump: amzn.to/4ftgvyz Unitree Pump Package: amzn.to/4ecqyHx Shogun FLEX: graymatterlifting.com/ShogunFLEX
Excellent video. Do you think you could do a video review on the platform and swivel cages specifically 🤔 Unitree also makes the same unit. They might have been the first company to put these out. 👍
@@lt5550 what are you looking for that I didn't cover in the video? I'm not likely to do a full video review, but could do a Short on each and cover some specifics. TH-cam now allows 3 minutes for shorts so I could fit some juicey details in there.
@@sanfordzeitz9077 great question. Currently smoking a Chuck Roast with my Smart Thermometer. Once that finishes I'll turn my wifi and data off and see what happens with the app
True, skipped this part 🙃. But nevertheless, you didn't mention how well/bad it works with the hyper pro. Is it fiddly to set up? Do you get enough ROM out if it? To sum it up: is it worth it for that purpose?
Glad to see competition that has a decent app and is coming in significantly cheaper than the VOLTRA I. I just bought the VOLTRA I, even though I have the Rep Athena. What got me to pull the trigger was the eccentric loading, 200lb max resistance, and the ability to easily adjust in 1lb increments (for lateral raises, rear delt flyes, etc that require much slower progression). After first use, my rear delts and back are absolutely blasted using lower concentric weight and equal eccentric to what I used on my Athena but able to squeeze out a few extra reps and those were killer. Excited for more innovation in this space.
Volta's seem as a product, similar experiences I'm getting to the original iPhone, if you don't have adequate time to use it, it's hard to understand the possibilities given that the barrier to entrance is beyond most people. Adjacently, I wonder how many Voltra I'd they have sold.
I think this is going to be a winner for smaller athletes or maybe people who travel A LOT, especially in a car. You got a cable system you could use at a truck stop.
@@GrayMatterLifting Unitree currently has a kickstarter for a newer version (Pump Max) that has 4-70kg resistence per unit. It currently has mounts for different rack uprights, but currently lacks something like Voltra's fixed rack mounts.
@kyleb5577 I've seen that! I'm trying to get ahold of them to see if I can review it, since I've handled these, the VOLTRAs, and have the MAIAK-GO likely on the way

Glad someone reviewed these. I am leaning towards voltra I. But also part of me just wants to wait and see what else comes to market.
Unitree pump max
@@UCQQdmntLgp7x7tuRZojCwUA I should be getting the MAIAK-GO soon. That might be your ticket.
Seconding unitree pump max. These in the review are just rebadged unitree pumps. So, the company already has a track record of producing in this area
Thoroughly informative as always.
Will you be taking a look at the Unitree Pump Max?
@@Daniel-sz5tn thank you! I hope so. I'm trying to get their attention.
The warranty and the lack of resistance makes this a no-go. Good review Joe.

@@benmooreman you can definitely get crazy creative with the VOLTRA. I think these have a ways to go to catch up, but definitely more budget friendly

Sad that the Pump Max only goes to 70. That’s just not enough resistance I think.
@cweb1988 I think the VOLTRA I and the upcoming MAIAK-GO might be the only ones with enough resistance for the big boys.
