DA Maine if you come off as a fake then you are a bad seducer. You have to know when to flatter, and you have to flatter in a way that doesn't seam fake. Watch the video again or read this chapter, it's said Aim your flattery directly at person's insecurity/weakness. You don't flatter on everything, first you study them, watch their face on what delight them, figure out their weaknesses, what she is insecure about, what she need validation about, what her fantasies/ideals are, etc and use your flattery and words according to her individual psychology. It doesn't come off as as fake but more of "He really understands me".
This book actually talks about that, somewhat. Greene suggests we do not seem like we desire sex or a relationship, only friendship. Over time the woman will feel comfortable with you, since you are not pulling any moves or flirting. But after awhile the girl may wonder why you -a man- are not trying to sleep with her like all the others. This could intrigue her, and could seduce her even. Also understand that this particular skill in this video is for phase two in the book; after you have made the girl feel comfortable. So you do not start with what this video says, you only start this after a few weeks of your seduction.
