nvm i did it, so for wii u you need to go into system settings, internet settings, connect to the internet connections, find ur wifi, put in the primary and secondary dns, connect and you’re good to go

So if I understand this right the primary DNS intercepts communications to Nintendo's old servers and emulates as if they are online, and the secondary DNS is just a normal DNS (cloudflare I think) for everything else?

The dude forgot to say to NOT click yes when asked to update the Wii, it's a really crucial step. There are a bunch of workarounds if the DNS doesn't work, however they require modding the Wii, but it's not hard.

i followed another tutorial a while ago for this and it never said to input anything in the secondary dns and only for primary, yet i’m still able to access wiimmfi. any explanations for this? i’m not well versed in this sorta stuff and i’m just curious i guess lol
the secondary dns is just so that you can also access other things a dns is just a gps for ur wii so it tells ur wii where to go so it kind of makes it so that when you go online you go on their server and they dont know googles ip but the secondary one knows where it is
Does this still work with wifi that uses WPA3 security? Because WPA3 isn’t an option when you try to connect your wifi. It sucks because I think most people’s wifi uses WPA3 since it’s most recent and more upgraded. I think that they stopped using WPA2 security on wifi in 2020, so if you got your wifi in 2020 or after that then you might not be able to connect to the internet. But I’m not sure.

That method you used to do patched the disc to have Wimmifi, this is patches the Wii itself to connect to Wimmifi for every other game also.

The second DNS was just the one that google uses, I don’t think that one is required but it probably gives better connection
Tried this said that i had the wrong settings when i tried and gave me a hard attack so if this happens just reset your internet connection and what ever you do im pretty sure do not update ur wii if ut tells u to could do something bad to it if modded
