Moody Blue is bittersweet for me I had bought the album then Elvis passed away. I was devastated i listened to it all night on 8/16/77 I couldn’t get enough of him couldn’t fill the hole it left in my soul. I still can’t Scotty I have to see him or hear him everyday, that being said I bought Moody Blue again last year. I could t open it my hands were shaking I cried for 2 weeks I finally opened it and just cried when I heard him again. Everything came flooding back for some of us this is heartbreaking and it tears out our souls but we need it. I’m going to order it actually I need it maybe just maybe I can fill more of the void. I doubt it but hey more Elvis will make me feel better. TCB⚡️
What a talented song writer Mark James was, having Elvis record his songs must have given him great satisfaction professionally and put a few dollars in his pocket, all good!

You know what I think of your videos Scotty. So well crafted. With the help of mixing and engineering, they were able to enhance Elvis’ vocals and mask the weakness and frailty in his voice. Light years from his best, but I’ve always enjoyed the finished product. The outtakes and stripped down versions are difficult to listen to. They really expose Elvis’ struggles and health issues. GOAT.
Indeed they do..some of that beautiful tone had gone and was replaced by a power which made the melancholy even harder to bare as a listener..but equally it’s just as fascinating..a real dichotomy for all concerned

Hey Scott... Great video as always.. My highlight of the week if i get a video from yourself.. I've just played mine.. Put on side 'C' for the first time.. It jumped three times. Gave it a clean now ok.. I think FTD's quality is definitely slipping.. Such a shame as they're not cheap now days..
Exactly and that’s my point..there are other manufacturers who do it better in terms of quality..stop worrying about different colours and concentrate on sound..PLEASE !!

Thanks for the hard works ⚡❤ I'm sorry this release doesn't quite reach the high standards that should have... it shows even in your face, when you're a vinyl lover those little things can lead to disappointment. I enjoyed the video, you throwed a punch or two and I'll choose to think that they will land in the intended targets 😂 On the musical side, I always get emotional whenever listening to the jungle room sessions (and all the material that came from those), he conveys every emotion like no one. His voice that year, in those tracks he choosed, pierce my soul every damn time. I broke with his Danny boy, his way of singing it steals tears from me no matter how many times I'll listen. The voice always comes first, it is what made me love the man in the first place and boy...76 voice is hauntingly beautiful, despite and bacause everything. I'm looking forward very much for the July anniversary of thats allright mama and next contents you're bringing in! There must be different release schedules in different countries cause I have this gold sparkle vinyl on pre-order and I won't have it for another few weeks (I'm in the US). Hi David I currently just use a Blake sleeve..I originally used pvc gatefold sleeves with the orange peel affect which I loved.However I was put off by all of the adverse reports about what damage they can do..I must add mine were absolutely fine.So I think it comes down to how they are stored..so I maybe will return to them.I don’t really know of any gatefold sleeve that allows access to the inside of the cover..Single sleeves have always been a Blake sleeve or similar

Having been very pleased with a number of MOV releases in the past, I recently bought their release of Back In Memphis and it was so bad I sent it back, bought another copy from else where and again it was very disappointing with too many clicks and pops. Sadly it's damaging my faith in new vinyl, we seem to be paying premium prices but not getting a premium product.🤨
Well I use an Okki Nokki cleaning machine..so a wet clean and vacuum suction I have then been considering an anti static gun that I’m hoping will get rid of the unwanted static that cleaning cannot always achieve 100%..That’s where I am right now with it David
Too bad the vinyl is not noise free, ftd should do better QC. The cardboard from the sleeve looks cheaper than we normally get, looks made from recycled paper 🤔. FTD, please step it up with quality overall. Great review Scotty. Respect to you for putting so much effort in your video's even though you get so much bs from yt. Keep up the good work my friend 👍

Too bad the vinyl is not noise free, ftd should do better QC. The cardboard from the sleeve looks cheaper than we normally get, looks made from recycled paper 🤔. Agreed..TH-cam make things very difficult at times..also agreed on the vinyl..that should be a bare minimum..I will have to check the sleeve more closely but yes you could be right

Have no idea..first pressing of this came with a black label..perhaps they wanted something different..lazy and unimaginative release by Ftd standards
