Cant wait to stick this on my stock 2008 lancer and become a true pro driver. All jokes aside, very excited for you Misha, the wing looks amazing. Congratulations to you and the team to get this to where it is now.
Inspirational work from Lapo! From being featured as an engineering student on the channel, and now in business with Mischa! I hope you guys sell a ton of these!
3:28 = Garrett GTR2557R, so that's the turbo in Rally1 GR Yaris! IMO that engine has good potential in a swap... imagine that engine inside a Smart Roadster! 3:56 = That's a good idea! Trying new material in Vulcan-Alpha wing! 5:51 = The defeated looks on Lapo's face tell how often Misha were using bad jokes off cameras. 😂 That said, Link G5 Voodoo Pro & Haltech Nexus R5 are two very capable ECU! 6:34 = I believe that black Ultima GTR still has pre-LS small-block Chevy V8, because the middle two cylinder has close exhaust port while LS (gen3 & gen4 SBC) had equal spaced exhaust port.
Been following from the beginning and I love the influence you have had in the Motorsport industry. Proud of what you've achieved. Great work from you and your team👌
Good for you Misha and Co.! OG viewer here. Amazed at your progress with your passion, but certainly not surprised. Thanks for all of your efforts, including this little bit of kit!!
For some reason this was informative and entertaining to watch - more so than the older format track videos. Misha really showing where his true passion is - not just some silly youtuber who cruises around in a Lambo for the wows.
Also downforce figures for the DRS wing for both modes would be interesting to see. How much a reduction in drag when DRS mode is activated compared to full drag mode would be very useful to know.
@@mgcharoudin Thanks! Looking to get a 991 GT3RS and put this and the DRS front splitter on. It would be interesting to see how close it would be to the 992 GT3RS. I would be really sweet if you could make the DRS wing look close to the factory wing, if that's possible without negatively affecting the performance too much.
Amazing product Misha and lapo and all the team, is soo goo to be following this project congrats on that, i want to put one in my mustang for the ring

Would interesting for the wing have both DRS and an air brake function. I'd think that on most USA based tracks an air brake will provide a faster lap time than the DRS.
It would be iinteresting for Lapo to explain the benefits of the sharkfin that we see on the new GT3RS MR and if he plans to add that into some of his future designs.
Great content as always😊.I think kinsler did shaftless itb's more then 10 years ago. When did jenvey made them? It's obvious that they are going to build another car with all the hints.😂 From what i've seen over the years a good designed intake manifold makes better torque and power over a broad powerband then ITB's on k20/k24 engines.😉
A question that may be more in Lapo's field of expertise - why pneumatic actuation, instead of having the DRS element sort of "balanced" and using some form of cable activation like on the first DRS wing on the back of the speedster? Seems lile that would be require significantly less equipment fitted to a track focused car that already tries to minimize weight at every turn. Dyneema came out with a rope that doesn't stretch at all under load and can be bent around much tighter radii without fatiguing compared to steel - which would allow housing the entire mechanical system for DRS activation in the wing supports, only needing a set of electrical wires to go to the wing instead of pneumatic lines, a compressor, a high pressure air tank, regulator etc etc.
Congrats to the team for all the amazing effort to taking Vulcan Alpha to the next level. Vulcan Alpha 992 GT3 vs 992 GT3 RS coming soon? Also what happened to the Time Attack S13 that you were building?
Can you also make it intelligent...so it can enable DRS when it sees full throttle input (and steering is straight)... and disable drs as high braking is sensed...so that more down force can slow the car down and reduce brake pads/disc wear in a lap. Also where will be DRS button installed??? Like in 992 GT3 RS it's on steering wheel. In this case where it might be installed???? Anyway within one 1 year of your company you have launched such an impressive product 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 very very impressive 💯💯💯
You guys better take car of the hatchback squad quickly....I suggest a mounting kit on the hatch lid mounting points using longer bolts or engineer some proprietary bracket...start with the VW Golf coz then it can take car of 4 models at once
Very cool! Curious how much it helps. Say, a car with heavy aero manages 250 kh from a light 400 hp engine. What can it do, give or take with DRS open?
That's cool, but I wonder if you could make it lighter without a motor if the DRS deploys with hydraulic under aero pressure over 100 mph for example. Just a thought.
@@Si-bw3is No, you can tie the hydraulic release control to the throttle, off the throttle it snaps back to aero. It's still a heck of a lot lighter and if you do it to the throttle body in a mid/rear engine you don't even need a long release line, and it probably should deploy depending on the car, if it is a 220+mph, 150-180 because it could corner at 100, but even cornering at 100 you wouldn't be flat out with the throttle floored or you're F'd anyway.
Cant wait to stick this on my stock 2008 lancer and become a true pro driver.

@@UltimateDan1 I think the 992 RS winst a lot from the suspension geometry (double wishbone front) etc. But in terms of aero, a lot can be done

can't wait to have this equipped on my r129 , gonna have some serious fun at the local autox

Would be interesting to see the pneumatic actuation, assuming you have to install a small cylinder of some gas?

They couldn't charge 10.000 € with a cable actuator so they introduced the super innovative compressed air pistons

cable & spring operated lol
