49ers pass up Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, both cali guys hahahah
insider h tom Brady played for Michigan
yes because no cali teams wanted brady. and he wanted to stay in in cali.
Scott Mahoney brady is from california genius
Jacques Webster yeah he went to Michigan. Pretty standard English honestly
Everybody passed up Tom Brady, including the Patriots.
So many potential wins and Super Bowls that the 49ers missed out on...
Taylor Ibanez 7 to be exact... 🤦🏼♂️
Those 1st 5 years would have crushed him like it did Alex Smith.
Unfortunately, with Rodgers, the Niners would have won more games, and they might not being able to draft some players they did on defense.
Ha Vu, probable, but can’t be sure how much damage he would sustain.
@Adrian Flores this year doe
@Adrian Flores No amount of talent could help those years in 49ers history. Horrendous coach after coach. And bad management.
Bet they are all regretting not taking him now.
Jeff Tygart why?
Lol
As a 49er fan, this breaks my heart lol. 😩
Imagine having Rodgers instead of Smith/Kaep from 2010 to 2015 lol
They made a mistake getting rid of Smith as well.
AsGiants Astros Multiple championships :'(
Brady also grew up a 49's fan and wanted to get drafted.
The name "Giovanni Carmazzi" comes to mind. At least Alex Smith has a career at QB. That's two all time greats that the 49's screwed up on. Brady and Rodgers.
Niners could've had Rodgers instead of Smith or Kapernick?? 😢😢😭😭
guess who else wanted to be a 49ers? the GOAT tom brady, who had the longest day than aaron rodgers. rodgers only had to wait 23 picks, brady 198 about 4 or 5 days.
Majik0715 did you even listen or read what i said? tom brady had it worst by being 199th pick and was a huge 49ers fan.thats all im saying.
Majik0715 longest day? by just waiting 23 picks into the draft?
How do the miss such greatness 49ers recruiters geez.
***** rodgers is not even top 5, and he cheated by over-inflating his footballs ooooooooooo
deflate gate is laughable people wanna forget the spy gate. that one is fucked up considering they got caught in 07 I bet they cheated on the dynasty run I have no respect for that dynasty or team would love to see my Packers beat the Patriots in the super bowl. Again.
Love the comments saying the 49ers missed on Tom Brady. EVERYONE missed on Tom Brady. Any team could have had Brady, he went in the 6th round. DUH
Ikr, how fucking stupid. They just have to find a way to hate on the 9ers
Rodgers was not given a division 1 football scholarship coming out of high school, went to community college football, was humiliated in the NFL draft, and had to sit behind the drama king Brett Favre for three years (Favre: "not my job to mentor Rodgers"). Media is all over him all the time aka Skip Bayless. The man has my respect!
Russell Wilson, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers were all fans of the 49ers. Imagine if they drafted any one of them? Now they get the crapped kick out by them. Gotta be very careful how you draft. And this shows it
I heard him say Arizona and Immediately started crying
Vince H lol
Imagine Aaron Rodgers with the Raiders and Tom getting drafted by the 9ers...
somewhere in a parralell universe lol
Yep the Raiders picked a safety that didn't last too long in the NFL.
As a falcons fan Honestly glad Jon Gruden passed on Aaron Rodgers when he was with the bucs. Imagine Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers in the same division as my falcons woulda been long seasons for my falcons from 2006 onwards. But it also woulda been killer division though cause you got Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and mike Vick in same division
Probably would've been the most competitive division in football during that time.
Your falcons are losers regardless of who else is in tbe division!! Tbey beat themselves worse than any other team beats them!
Yeah I don’t think a lot of people realize how long he sat in that green room.
Like almost 6 hours? A LONG time...
I remember the Raiders took Fabian Washington at #23 I was so disappointed I went to high school with Aaron but I had no idea he would be so good.
After having Joe Montana and Steve Young 49ers were too spoiled with QB’s. So it’s good they missed out on Brady and Rodgers haha
Legend has it that was the last time Aaron was with his family
Man, it still hurts that fuckin' Mike Nolan didn't pick Aaron #1.
As a niner fan and a cal bear fan this fucking hurts to hear
I wonder if Aaron would consider playing for them now.
This was right before he took the Packers to Super Bowl 45.
Two years before, the Ravens drafted a Cal QB in the first round, Kyle Boller. If they hadn't drafted him, and traded their 2004 first round pick away to get the pick to draft Boller, the Ravens could have taken Rodgers!
Rodgers dodge a canon ball size bullet after hearing Alex Smith said about the 49ers when he got there.
49ers could of had tom brady and Aaron rodgers...
and dak and Russell Wilson
Mouafa Atassi they aren't Brady and Rodgers
Patriots Legend russ better. From ah 9er fan. Shit o line and still gets it done. Nothing but hype from ah buncha kids like yourself and the media. Russ and Roger's are both great, but they both hold one ring at the end of the day.
Man I’ll never ever forget this missed pick.what could of been. 49ers-4-Life
Mike Nolan. Say his name.
im a green bay fan for life but i would love to let go of our greatest QB ... i feel so sad for him since we had the best QB in NFL but the defenses suck and never change, always put everything on his back.
when i was watching him interview after the game Atlanta Falcons vs green bay 2017 i cried when i saw his tears and painted. i bet if he played for 49er he would've been earned atleast 3 super bowls ...
green bay defense coordinator must be fire
theeeeeeee end.
Fucking Niners man, passed on Brady and Rodgers, good thing is we have Jimmy G now, but lost at least 2 super bowls with these terrible drafts.
green bay packers got another great quarterback and we are thankful that the Packers drafted him.
So the 49ers took Alex Smith and Giovanni Carmazzi over home town kids, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Hahhahahahhahahahhahahahah.
Erik Merrill Mooch and Mike Nolan. Both on them. Cost us 7 super bowl titles.
Who's watching this in 2021 after the difficult situation between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers?
as faithful niners fan...what are you thinking!!!
the fact that he might go down as the best qb to ever play it's amazing how many people overlooked this man and his talent and all these other teams could've gotten him and green bay got him and packers fans are so lucky to even have this man as their qb
GoDz Rewind best QB to ever play, are you fucking serious?
Hey Tiller Buckets, show me another QB like AR12 that has the pocket presence mobility accuracy throwing on the run left or right it doesn't matter all super bowls out of the question I'm talking pure talent there has never been a QB like him. Even the so called goat who gets suspended for cheating..again. said it himself. shit I said Green Bays future just got a whole lot brighter after watching Rodgers get his first meaningful shot against the Cowboys 10 years ago when Favre went down we aint fair weathers in title town we've been selling out home games since 1960 now that's Americas team.
Quite possibly the worst move ever by a lot of teams. But honestly Rodgers was lucky he didn’t go to the Niners, they were dysfunctional as hell
I think Troy Aikman wanted to be a 49r too.
Wow I lived in the bay area at the time and i actually read the article he was talking about in the paper.
Here is one reason he fell that and Smith was viewed as a better prospect and Smiths numbers in college and genius level intelligence it would be hard to pass on him.
"The Tedford Curse is coiled, hissing, and ready to strike its next victim. And for anyone who has made his permanent residence under a rock, I am speaking of the long line of college quarterbacks that Cal coach Jeff Tedford has guided to excellence at the college level, only to see fizzle in the blazing saddles of the NFL.
Although we could probably unearth more, the current list of Tedford failures includes Trent Dilfer, Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, David Carr, and Kyle Boller. Four of those five were top six picks. After Aaron Rodgers goes this year, almost twenty percent of NFL franchises will have vested their futures in a Jeff Tedford quarterback."
When you read that list of Qbs had Rodgers been a bust you would look all the dumber for taking him.
I don’t understand.. Why on earth we didn’t go for him. amazed
Ima big tom brady fan and i hate aaron rodgers cause people always say he better than brady😂😂... but it is actually insane how SIMILAR their storys are
Great interview man! Ever thought of interviewing Conor McGregor?
the 49ers during 2004-2005 seasons, where an incompetent mess, that is why they passed on Rodgers and Brady
Doesn't realize how lucky he was that he didn't get drafted by the 49ers.
to this day, this breaks my heart. Brady, thats a hard arguement, but Rodgers, that should of been a no brainer, for christ sake, he played 15 min away from candlestick, so they knew all about his play
Green Bay were spoiled too. Bart Starr Brett Favre
They're my teams so love em to death, but goddam 49ers and Cal can be so dumb sometimes it hurts.
here after san fran just beat him in the postseason... for the fourth time
lmao his family didnt want him to be a RAIDER
..... (sigh), Graham is such a dork! Yet he always seems to get great guest!
I hate my 9era pass on my guy
Lol did anyone notice his eyebrows ???
Curious to know if Arod is happy he ended up in Green Bay, or if he would change things today...
John Smith never he said he will retire as a packer and can never see him self anwhere Aaron Rodgers has never thought of leaving green bay and never will and by the time he ends his career he'll probably go down as the greatest qb to ever play
He will be embraced forever by the team and fans if he stays with GB, like Bart Starr. I can't see him going elsewhere either. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last HOFer, but am glad that is all settled now. The smallest team in the NFL, GB holds 13 NFL Championship Titles, including 4 Super Bowls. So much winning history here, and so fortunate to have so many great players.
John Smith he's very proud of him and his team and the city, but hard to say 49ers wouldn't have been a dynasty if he went there, because from 2010-2014 they could've won the superbowl every year. 2010 Rodgers had a superbowl run with green bay, 2011 San Fran was only 2nd to Green Bay Rodgers would've gotten a ring with those weapons and that San Fran Defense, 2012 Niners went to the superbowl, could've won there, 2013 niners went to the NFC Championship and lost by mere yards would've won if Rodgers was there and whooped a terrible injury ridden Denver defense, with Jon Harboughs defense to have his back, plus you have to remember McCarthy was going to be his QB coach and eventually play caller in San Fran, 49ers missed a Dynasty.
That is quite possible. I think we all agree that Arod would have done well wherever he went, he has a great drive to succeed. Green Bay is at the top of the historic heap, and it looks like it will remain that way for a long, long time.
as a raider fan i'm sad we didn't get him smfh but we got carr so that's aaron rodgers 2.0
King Yoshi Its actually 3/4 Aaron Rodgers. You forgot about the missing leg now on Carr.
King Yoshi there's only 1 aaron Rodgers bihhh
They always blame the 49ers like 22 other teams didn't pass on him too
The sorry 49ers made the greatest decision going with Alex Smith! Awesome job...NOT!! Hahaha
DangLa Lee Alex Smith was nice with the niners with Harbaugh. Honestly Rodgers could of been a make or break qb in SF. Plus Smith is playing hella of a season with the chiefs
who was the 49ers gm?!?!
He disowned his family....
maybe helped him learn nobody owes you anything.
Teams are so bad drafting players.
49ers are about to pass on Justin Fields it’s dejavu all over again
Smh panthers could've had him at 14. Thomas Davis was a good look but still
Damn! niners could've had Rodgers instead of Kapernick. SIGH........
if the 49ers drafted him they would have surpassed the steelers in superbowls, 49ers have done fucked up once again
Pretty fitting he plays the 49ers to go to the Super Bowl.
Smdh... Alex Smith over Aaron Rodgers. No amount of Kappin can make this decision sound good even 14 years later.
Who was the Niners GM at that time?
I hope he never got another GM job after that whiff...
49ers said Alex Smith had more mobility but was the same quarterback. 49ers know how to ruin their franchise
as a bears fan FTP and wish he was a 49er
There's a reason why your nicked named teddy bear cause your teams soft as one
Aaron Trujillo dam forgot the 2006 team
+icyfire50 lol
2:06
oof, I wish we got him. 49ers organization messed up.
They have been messed up for a long time
IT TIME TO COME HOME
1:40
Boohoo, he was still a first rounder, Antonio Brown and Tom Brady waited for days for their name to be called
Jon Luisi
Well when you are projected to be the top overall pick for months prior and projected to go at least in the top 10 yeah it would probably sting a little. Geno Smith was really depressed and said he wouldn't attend day 2 and only attended day 2 after Jets guaranteed they would pick him
Jon Luisi Boohoo you're nobody.
Neither of them were top prospects you moron that damn near fell out of the first round
He can't wear something more professional to be interviewed?
lestudio76 its aaron rodgers he doesnt have to ahahah
lestudio76 he's wearing a shirt of the college to give him a chance
Aint no one give a fuck its Aaron Rogers
lestudio76 that's why he is an all star and a millionaire and you're not because you're too worried about nonsense.
Why does Graham have that stuff on his lips for the interview?
31 freaking teams could of have Rodgers. nope Cleveland chose Brady Quinn lmao. Niners got Alex Smith. lol
Rodgers will end up a 49er
Why did this interview even happen we all know them both and what they do, horrible segment
If The Dumb 49ers had Drafted Tom Brady and/ or Aaron Rodgers guess they would have 11 Super Bowls right now...🤭😎
oakland should've taken him
Aaron Rodgers looks horrible in this interview
Still can't believe Niners took Alex Smith. Set the franchise back decades.
Not hating on Rogers's but he was selected in the first round, the GOAT was not selected until the sixth.
All I have to say is that Aaron Rodgers should be GLAD he wasn't drafted by the Niners. When the incompetent Yorks (a.k.a. Dorks) keep bringing in incompetent coaches and gets rid of the competent one (Harbaugh), Rodgers should be VERY thankful. If you think Rodgers would have thrived under Mike Nolan, you're a fool. If you think Rodgers would've thrived under Mike Singletary, you're a complete IDIOT. Through all that, the only competent offensive coordinator the Niners had in that time span was Norv Turner, and he was there for just one year...
"Competent"? I'm not sure choking away a 6th Superbowl win from the 5-yard line with fade passes to a double-covered mediocre WR, instead of running the ball in with your HOF-bound RB, is the mark of a competent coach. And let's not forget his horrible clock management and blown timeouts and challenges too.
Harbaugh was a joke, and his time at Michigan since he's left just proves that.
"I thought I was going to be a top 10 pick." Shows how cocky Rogers is, he wasn't that good. He developed. Get over it.
Dustin H wow, you're really dumb
Bears had the #4 pick and drafted Cedric Benson smh
Good job Raiders, Fabian Washington was by far the better pick....
I actually had to look up who Fabian Washington was. Wow, sorry for your loss...
rick morty it's cool, we got Derek Carr luckily
