Round Corner House is an outcome of the constraints of its context. The 10 cents (404.7 sq.m.) property with no vegetation has roads on three sides, exposing it to its surroundings. Hence, the design demands privacy.
The layout of the house, with a built-up area of 2,535 sq.ft., is relatively simple. The bedrooms are placed on the southeast and southwest, along the wind direction. The kitchen is located in the northeast of the plot. These two spaces are then connected by a double-height living-dining space. This space is flanked by double-height open-to-sky courtyards on the east and west. The double-height courtyards are partially shaded with pergolas on the top in the north-south direction for protection from the sun. The exterior exposed jaali wall of the courts gives ample cross-ventilation into the house from west to east.
Ar. Jose K Mathew, along with Ar. Clara Rose Jose, takes us through the earthy house, narrating the concept behind its architecture and interiors.

The surrounding won't always stay green , it's like hoping others should take care of enivornment and plant more trees and take care for keeping others happy ..
The plan and ethics a d designs all seems good ,but are they actually working as designer intented ..with tropical climate the sloping roof would have been better than flat roof structure Moreover since no raingaurd is there , the problems.thst arises in Kerala are more ..

The area of the house is only 2534sqft.and not 5000sqft. I have just explained the context and neighbourhood. Whatever landscaping is possible is done on roof and courtyards as little land is left outside. But the mandatory open spaces are landscaped.
