It's really cool that shift doesn't count as a "new" play to avoid ink dry. This is a really cool "evolution" mechanic that makes me excited to see what new shift characters we get in the future.
@@ritviktrehan_ygo3536 Ink dry is essentially summoning sickness. So you can't challenge or quest the turn it comes into play. But with shift, if the card you shift on top of has already been out for a turn, you can challenge/quest with it the turn it shifts
I'd be surprised if it didn't work, considering the way it's worded. Then again, it wouldn't be the first time a major TCG says "ehh whatever" to the English language.
The only reason why it wouldn't work as of right now is that people find it "too strong". The issue with that is that we don't know all the cards. And having your first 3 turns be little Stitch into Lantern into shifting big Stitch sets you up for getting 3 for 1ed by you opponent the next turn, while also allowing them to do whatever for the first few turns. That sounds perfectly balanced to me.
@@Rayquaza894 if reading the card explains the card, then it does. Except for "we have a limited card pool and things aren't balanced right now" what makes you think it doesn't work?
Also, you've never been more wrong: "They also confirmed that if the original character was summoned in the previous turn and not in a state where ‘the ink hasn’t dried’, the character that is played on top using the Shift ability maintains that state and will be able to Exert in the same turn." What's ink dry?

You dont combine The strengh, willpower and lore, right?
Still no confirmation on if lanturn works with shift
there is an argument for both cases so the turn 3 stitch lanturn combo may or maynot be legal

Do we know if lantern will reduce the shift cost? I didn’t think it would but I am often wrong about these things 😅😂 thanks for the rules update
Why not wait till tomorrow to make this video since we will actually know more about it
Because we know all about it
@@superlorcanaworldwe don’t lol. We don’t know if lantern can reduce shift cost
Why not both?

They are still affected by summoning sickness btw

Yeah, but they don't gain summoning sickness is what the point was.
