Roy Butler is the song by this band available at all please? This is one of my favourite dances and versions of that dance and I would love that song version too for circle dancing. Many thanks 😊
Thank you for choosing this old Serbian song, about silly attitude towards life (let's sell everything we have and just dance), no guns and weapons at all. Anyway, thank you for choosing it, you dance beautifully . Well done, the way you enjoy it is so charming. Thanks.
This is some odd version of old Serbian song, about guns and fight? Original is about girl named Jana. Her boyfriend suggest to her (Jana, his soul) to sell the horse and the house and just dance with him no metter of anything.
Ovo je inače stara hajdučka pesma pevana oko Mitrovdana. Tada su hajduci napuštali borbu i šumu i odlazili kod jataka da prezime. O tome govori i pesma. Kasnije je neko promenio tekst i mi znamo samo za noviju verziju. Tužno je što stranci pevaju pravu verziju.
Interesting...you're a dancing group...or what? I see older people dancing...arrangement was made by Celtic band? I love the bagpipes sound Somehow...I noticed...some 20 years ago...listening "Fiddler on the roof" that Serbian music have similarities...with Jewish...Kletzmer (spelling) music...but after that...listening Riverdance...I heard "chetvorno horo" and "macedonian morning" tunes...really amazing...some would say completely different cultures...but ...in some ways we are all connected
Beautifull. I have to visit Ireland some days. It seems that we have incomon more than we in Serbia think. We have bunch of Celtic toponyms (Tara, Drina, Durmitor, Leotar, Zeta, Piva, Lim) Many, many things are similar. Especially the way they (and we) dance.
Lovely dance :) Thank you for this video. Guys pls don't argue. Grab someone and dance:) Irish people first saw how impressive can be their tradicional dance when they saw so many people dancing in one line, in Riverdance. And many were dissapointed that they started using more hands movements. But everything is changing.
@NatkaBUT My grandmother called Jana (a Croat), Macedonia has never had a state-until 1991, it has long been Serbian Kingdom. before and after the Turks.
@royisdancing exactly. whats more, the whole concept of the traditional music of both nations is very similar - serbs have bagpipes and fifes, while the irish used more drums and percussion. anyway, it's probably the most logical blend ever.
Одлично. Serbs and the Celts are very similar. traditions, songs, instruments are similar to us. we are the same people, the Celts, Illyrians, Thracians were all called serbi and talk the same language. Serbs love lrish and Scotch, English do not like
Thank you very much from all Serbs around the world.
Wonderful singing, excellent music and dancing - splendent!
Best regards from Serbia!

KOCOВO JE СРБИЈА!
KOSOVO JE SRBIJA !
KOSOVO IS SERBIA!
That's no coincidence, there is a theory supported by the evidence that we are the same people. as it may sound strange and unbelievable, but it is
Celts passed trough our lands and some stayed and mixed with us. So there is that blood bond.
