    I’ve owned one of these for over 12 months now, absolutely love it! Not the best on hills, but on normal flattish roads, you will get about 20-25 miles on a charge. Best thing is, it only weighs about 17 kgs, so if the battery does run out, it’s easy to pedal.

    I have done 300 miles on my white version of this e bike and loved it. I added a rack custom built and fitted in malmsbury. Don’t put a basket or rack on the front it unbalances the bike. Change to miles per hour by clicking top (M) button at the bottom edge of the button…so all is fine..until.. you get a rear puncture. 1 you cannot get the wheel off unless you remove the brake calliper 2. Watch out you don’t bend the disk, best to remove it. 3. You still cannot remove wheel due to the power cable being permanently fixed. And 4. When you rebuild hope you don’t get an E4 error message like me which means no speedo no proper power levels on assist plus E4 flashes forever. No way to do a hard reset of the system. Just one consolation is that you can use the throttle at full speed and cruise control while just touching a brake will take it out of cruise. So well peed off. Thank god it only cost £363 new.

    Oh I’ve watched this at just the right time and now I’m soooo excited, waiting for a folding e-bike that I ordered last week to arrive. I chose a bike with 20” wheels and a bigger battery as I wanted to travel around, taking photos, with my little dog on the back. I have a bike rack on my T5 but my egravel bike was quite expensive and I fret when I leave it to go walking. I’m glad you reviewed all the things some cyclists miss out on when it’s head down and trying to beat the last segment…..I’m one of those too 😂……but these little bikes are about freedom and chillin…….oh and no lycra 😉

    Great move. I didn’t want a bike rack so I got a folding ebike a while ago. Mine’s a Dawes Curve 2021, it folds up into a carry case and fits on the front seat of the van so even on longer trips when I might not be using it all the time I can carry it easily enough without it interfering with my living/sleeping arrangements in the van. Love it! 👍

    • @Yorkshirepoptopadventures

    • @AnneRogersPhoto
      @AnneRogersPhoto ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine folds into a ‘bike wrap’ but it’s too heavy to lift it up onto the front seat and also quite big even folded. It’s quite an effort to get it in the van! 😂 I’m slightly envious!

      Hey Debra, great question. The power brick says 80w output and I have charged the bike on the EcoFlow River Pro, Delta Max and Delta 2 with no problems, I'm sure the one you have will charge it with no issues at all. Double check your ratings on the unit you have first, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't work

    • @Yorkshirepoptopadventures

      Hey so the top speed (when not unlocked) is 15mph the maximum allowed on UK roads but off road you can unlock it to do 25mph (depending on how heavy/light the rider is) but that'll use more battery etc .
      Distance wise I think at the end of the video it's all in miles so that should answer the distance question

    Great video Colin but a bit confusing in placesfor us old uns. Does your handlebar controller have the facility to read out in miles and mph? I kept getting my phone out to convert your figures. YesDear and I have two e-bikes each; a foldable and a road/off road bike ( she's road, I'm off road). All four bikes are calibrated in imperial units so thar we can understand them. My route planner is in miles and so when we ride from camp spot to civilisation (aka the pub in the village/Town nearby), I know how far we've travelled. I can't be doing with travelling at 15kph when I know I've got a ride of 5 miles. I'll leave km and kph to Johnny Foreigner if you don't mind.
    You're so right about the pace of life on a small wheeled bike being slower and more relaxing and yes, we do stop more to sit and stare too.
    How did you find initial take off from standstill on your bike when on an uphill slope, with that gearing?
    Ours don't have a horn (make do with crappy cheap n nasty bell that barely manages a quiet "thud" so I shout DING at the top of my voice) but we do have a little power button that, when pressed, will accelerate the bike from standstill to 4mph without needing to pedal. It gets you going on a slope so that starting to pedal is then much easier.
    We love our little foldup ebikes and I'm sure you will co ti up to as well.
    Stay safe
    👍👍 from South Staffordshire

    • @Yorkshirepoptopadventures
      @Yorkshirepoptopadventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey buddy, I haven't yet figured out how to change it to mph (not sure it can to be honest) I grew up learning kilometres and miles so can do the maths in my head 🤣🤣!
      The initial take off was weird and fast (first ever time as I had it on full power 🤣) but you get used to it. When you hit a hill you're already getting power from the engine so there is just a slow down. But from standstill there is a boost so you can do the same as your bike.
      Hope that helps buddy :)

    • @Yorkshirepoptopadventures

      Thanks buddy,I spoke to the company about that (after making the video) and they said they could replace the battery, I'm sure there will be a cost associated with it but at least it can be changed :)

    • @g-de
      @g-de ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The in-built battery would be my worry as well. Especially as I assume only fiido would be able to replace it. I expect it just becomes a normal bike without the motor but you're at the whim of the company continuing offering to replace batteries.
      Rode an ebike for the first time last week though. Managed 26 miles after only riding a few times in the last 10/15 years. Was great just being able to bump the power up on the steep hills. Folding bike is interesting as my main issue would be storage.

      I thought that, so many down hills that would have kept it charged. I suppose the price point means sacrifices have to be made.

    It's a CRAP. The battery died after just one summer and Fiido did not take it's responsibility and just said "there is one year warranty. They can not even suggest a repair. Now I am sitting with a dead battery and bike gathers dust in basement. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!!

    Buy a bike rack and get a decent ebike ! They do look silly !! Maybe better if painted in camo ! So no one can see it 🙈

    You got given one too.
    Seen 3 of these videos now about these bikes.
    Do they actually meet uk requirements for ebikes??
    As a cyclist I am surprised you’re plugging this crap.
    Sellout.

      Hey buddy, like with most of the products I review on this channel they are given to me for free in exchange for an honest review and sometimes I get paid to review them. (I didn't get paid to review this but I do get the keep the bike) - I have to disclose that information to TH-cam and it appears as a "paid promotion".
      Part of my response back to the company who provided this bike was "if it's rubbish, I'll say it's rubbish" it turns out, it's not, it's awesome.
      I'll only take something if I really believe that our subscribers might benefit from them (EcoFlow for instance) I even post on our Facebook page saying "do you think I should take this to review" to see what the general consensus is and everyone responded with "yes, I'd love to see it reviewed by you" so I took it.
      The great thing about producing videos like this is that it helps fund trips away, so I can then make more videos (that cost me money and a LOT of time to create) about campsites, wild camps and much more for everyone to enjoy (At no cost to the viewer)...
      In answer to your question, I believe it meets all the UK legal requirements, 250w and pedal assisted power.
      You'll see way more reviews of this e bike too as other channels I know have taken one to review, if you type in this brand in the TH-cam search bar you'll see 100s more eviews. Just like you would if you searched for a certain mobile phone etc. It's good to get the thoughts of different people on a product.
      Sorry for the long response, but I felt it necessary to provide a thorough reply.
