Warning. He's absolutely right. Media com sucks big time. I have to literally get up and unplug it from the damn wall.. About it going out. 15 time a day, sometimes more with me so keep your money. I'm turning this crap off. Something needs to be done about these companies that keep ripping people off like this.
Their landlines are poorly maintained, but that's only the tip of the ice berg. Running TraceRt's all over the place you can see they are outsourcing all their connection nodes to the lowest bidder, so a good chunk of the issues you might experience would be due to massive packet loss through those nodes. Utilities like Comcast or Cox might bend people over and f@*k them, but at least they don't cheap out on their network infrastructure.
I just moved to Ankeny and I had the WILDEST call with a sales rep I've ever had in my life. I just want basic internet, I have my own modem, and this dude would NOT let me just get basic internet. He was lying, he was trying to sneak in phone services, it was wild. He was making f150 analogies that I couldn't just get plain internet even though you kinda can on their website.
They are ripping people off! They use to have internet 400 = 400MB down and 2 gig data for $89.99. Now they did away with that and now have internet 300 = 300MB down and 1.5 gig data for $99.99. So let's see, thats charge more and get less! Yeah! That's a way to keep your customers!
100% Correct. Media-Con is complete crap. I walk two feet away from the router and it crashes, and if there is any weather at all it goes out. They Suck!
Mediacom, DLS or Dish? I feel like this guy is one of my neighbors lol. The only other thing we have is Xfinity but they dont service the part of the city where i live.... They basically service the other side of the lake. I go where the speed is and i have been planning to move to the other side too, just to get the proper speeds im already paying for but definitly not getting.
so you're saying you have 3 internet options, and mediacom is the best one available to you? weird way of wording that. how many dentists are available?
I honestly watched your video expecting some sort of information like is it an infrastructure issue what type of equipment are they giving you is it because technicians aren’t meeting the levels of satisfaction that you want but you’ve literally just vaguely described your experience with Mediacom with basically zero information whatsoever, you didn’t even talk about it is it in network split issue are you using your own equipment or using their equipment how many trouble calls you’ve had called out there I know for a fact that after three trouble calls it becomes an escalated trouble call where they will damn near rip out basically everything in the infrastructure to fix it, I would really like an updated video with some more specific information of what you have going on there
I had media com before the xstream. hack i even worked for them at one time. worst job ever. the internet and phone service a complete joke. never up. only worked 7 minutes at a time then I would have to reset my modem. unplug and pkf it back into the wall for power. it was slow, unreliable and pure joke. heck a chevy citation, ford pinto are more reliable then media com.

Two years later mediacom still sucks. Ancient infrastructure. Brutal pricing. Reliability and customer service continue to worsen.
Thank you sir. I was trying to find out something about them while seeking a provider. Thanks again sooo much.

It’s frustrating but for the most part this guy is right. They don’t care. Almost every Mexican customer faces this problem
