I bought one after having 2 of the previous generation 1290's & yes it's fantastic, much more refined, easier to ride & less tiring after a long ride. I live in a mountainous region & the quickshifter is FAB especially downshifts coming up to a sharp bend. Off to Spain for the weekend, only 1 hour from where i live. Can't wait.
from all bikes you drive and i see here in TH-cam, the Duke has far the best, the richest sound bye far!!, no S1000RR, no Streetfighter V4s sounds so good to me
It really is an unbelievably capable machine. Such a quality beast. Easily the most fun and exciting motorcycle I've ever owned & ridden. The Powerparts catalog make an already stunning motorcycle even more wet dream material. I'm saving up for the Performance pack unlock. While I agree with your complaints that you're just paying for a few lines of code to be unlocked and not any hardware, just gotta live with it. I'm gonna have a ton of fun with the quickshifter and launch control. Track Pack looks good too.
LCR, brilliant work as always! my 12 year old daughter was thoroughly amused by your accent. I don't really get this bike, they sound like a tractor to me, but i did like the fact that you were obviously entertained on the ride!
The thing that struck me as so unusual about the 2016 I test rode was how lightly it turned from side to side. It was almost as though all of the weight was at the very very bottom of the engine, nothing up top and the front tire was filled with helium. It felt lighter than my SF which has a curb weight of 417 lbs and this SD is like 460 lbs. Impressive.
I own a 2016, Every time i ride it I cant believe how perfect it is i can only imagine how the 2017 is. Lamb Chop is lucky to ride this, this bike is sold out in the USA
+Michael Kastner I am considering a used 2016, the gearbox is better on this one I've been told.. plus the whole bike is more polished. Still bloody amazing the old one though!
Señor Lamb Chop , just go for the tuono v4 factory 2017!!!!!! that v4 engine alone gets it hard... hahaha i do admit the KTM looks really nice indeed !
David Warner it's the best bike I've owned so far!!,I have the 2016 factory and up here in the mountains it's ripping ridiculously good on these roads!! Puts a smile on my face every time I turn that throttle!! I've tried the 1290 as well and it's a great and comfortable ride, but somehow it gave me more of a supermoto feel while with the tuono I feel/felt like a proper superbike with strait up handlebars which is what i was looking for. Safe rides!! Greetzz Dennis
You're videos are awesome man! Great quality video and audio. Also like how you recorded from a perspective of two different angles as well! Red button has been clicked. :)
Thanks for the advise chops, I got me a duke 2 yesterday friggin love it man I saw you up loomies Sunday but didn’t manage to finish me breakfast in time to come n say hello before you scooted off , I did the ride for autism from Shoreham , maybe next time , love the duke man 👌🏽🤟🏻
my bike has 1250 miles, no issue except bolts and screws come loose. you have to go over the bike to constantly check loose bolts/screws- ever hear of Loctite?
I took one of these for a test ride, was planning on buying one. After a test ride, I felt the bike was cheap, couldn't put my finger on it but it felt very over priced compared to other bikes in the category.
While working on the 690 Enduro. I started chatting to a MT-07 owner , turns out he's a service manager at my local KTM dealer. All I'm saying is there NOT as reliable as you think.
+Psycho Paul haha 😀😀 I'm not sure what to do with bikes I'm in a flux! Head says sell blade, so does the heart tbh.. Was thinking duke now swapped back to Hypermotard again! Don't want a stupidly fast bike going to get in trouble... these new speeding laws are crazy!
I agree with you 100% on the statement :"with supernakeds like this, why would anyone buy a sports bike?" Have had a lot of sport bikes over the years and loved them , the last one and my favorite being a '15 crossplane R1 but a Run in with a football sized boulder on my Ducati at speed numbered my sportbike days. I feel in love with the crossplane 4 power and sound but couldn't do more than a half hour before my screwed up back would get unbearable. Decided to try the world craze of naked and supernakeds. While extremely physically comfortable and enjoyable I liked the standard nakeds but going crossplane R1 to a z1000 doesn't work, so tried the supernakeds, and found my niche! the s1000r was amazing power wise but outdated design and bored of the typical i-4. Superduke was epic but expensive and not crazy about the sound, the tuono HD to be a factory becaue I hate the tail on the RR and well it's a Factory, top of the line everything but again expensive $17,500 us. Found myself wondering the same thing, why ALL these years have I rode sportbikes uncomfortably and a bike class that hates city riding, commuting on the '15 R1 was torture! 2 up riding down right painful and doesn't like to be under 60 mph and not comfortable, I found those 3 supernakeds to be insanely thrilling to ride , extremely comfortable, can ride 12 hours with a bad back and no pain, cruise control, heated grips, and the torque and powerband are SuCH a blast around town and in the twisties! For a bike used most often for commuting and weekend thrashings most the time but still able to hammer at a track day I couldn't understand how I'd never thought to try a Supernaked, maybe Jsut assumed they are much slower , top end is down and hp a little but MUCH made up for it with the torque being down low and a broad curve. There was a consistent superduke 1290r and tuono at the track days and those guys were skilled and would womp on literbikes ALL day long and then ride home. Narrowed it down to the superduke , tuono Factory , the problem was while I was nuts about both, $17,500 us for a bike Was going to be tight but hating the tail of the tuono RR plus the added goodies of the Factory i realized I had to splurge becaue I couldn't possibly go to a standard naked after riding the Snakeds. and then news came of the '17 MT10 comming out based on the crossplane R1, detuned of course like all Snakeds but torque brought down low and some less expensive parts to make it affordable. , in the US they were expensive compared to Europe at $13k but $4500 LESS than the other 2. Chopped it down to the Tuono Factory and MT10 just based on the concept and look of the MT10, a Supernaked , comfortable road friendly R1 based monster with cruise control and $5k less than an R1. Int the end the Tuono obviously is the better Snaked but also considerably more expensive , typically unreliable , expensive to maintain and service , not to mention there's no aprialia dealer within 1000 miles of me , so decided on the FZ10 (MT10) banking on loving it. I know ya either love it or hate it aesthetically but I happen to think it was the coolest looking bike out there so for me I was stoked! Got a steal on one at Launch for $9,250,...$3,750 under retail and over $8,000 LESS than the factory. Put anY pipe on to let the crossplane sing songs of Moto GP and I have never looked back! I loved sport bikes but for me and the way I used bikes, 95% off track , commuting and just pleasure riding , the supernakeds were absolutely perfect for me and still SO capable at the track! Beyond my ability still. Found myself for the next 2 years hammering the throttle EVWRYWHERE I went to feel that crossplane rush and hear it scream! To think this bike is by far my favorite I've owned and $9k new , I can't get over it! It's not your 1290R or the Factory but very close performance wise and financially made the most sense for me. If money was no issue it'd be a total toss up between the new superduke R and new tuono factory,...however, IF it was possible to find an MT10 SP, an R1m based MT10 will ALL to top parts of the exotic supernakeds, I can honestly say, as much as I've loved the base FZ10 , I would have to Go SP , I don't feel crazy saying that after hearing the SP would be in the running with the factory and 1290r for you as well. 👍 love your videos, been binging on them all day! Ride safe my friend and hoping to see an SP video from you.
Hi LCR, Great video, you said that they do a low seat option i wasn't aware of that also with the slip on Akra you can take out the baffle by way as i have done it on my black 2015 sd r, I am just about to get the 2017 in black by the way so yep i definitely like the MK 1.
Thanks matey, yeah people who have the old version have said this one is more refined, also the gearbox is better which is good to know as dont like a clunky box :-) But this could be out of my price range so a Mk1 could be an option..
Austria seems to be like that where they charge for things that are already there our fronius welders are the same had to pay 1000 just to upload a software to unlock a program thats already there
I get that a supernaked is better as a road bike but would you miss the stability? I find on my speed when you are pushing on things can get wobbly. It sounds like the KTM is your perfect bike, get a 2nd hand older model with full exhaust for 10k happy days !
Cruise control. What for? 195 kg dry is light for a 1300. Are they reliable? EDIT: you've mentioned this, but I'm not convinced. How much in UK, please? EDIT: you answered this question.
Wish people would just drop all the "Italians make bikes like X, Germans make bikes like X, but the Japanese......" All of that nonsense is a thing of the past. They are all so good these days, you're arguing about gnat's hairs.
What a machine. Holy hell. Have to say aswell, looks very smart in that colour scheme. I think its safe to say, here is your new ride ahahaha. Although, a Tuono would be very welcome too ahaha, but not as easy on the wallet ;)
this bike is so amazing! i really like the colored instrument cluster. But isnt this bike slightly on the costly side?? I have a couple questions: Q1) Would you recommend it for touring? Q2) Do you get a wind screen if you asked KTM?
Yes its costly when compared to the MT-10 or Suzuki GSX-S1000 but its a level above in terms of quality and finish. But its cheap when compared to litre sports bikes! Yes KTM make some different sized screens and even produce a full on touring version! It cruises so well, at 70 mph I it was bogging in top gear had to leave it in 5th!
Wow thats cool! So is this touring version that you're speaking is the KTM 1290 adventure sport? or is it a different variant of the superduke?. Thanks for swift reply!
No hate but I love the previous full black color. That one looked like a true war tank but this one looks like just another little naked streetfighter with lots of paint job. But that doesn't mean I don't like it, I just like the previous paint scheme more.
Great, can you please check if it has a fuel gage? It seems a dumb question but in all the videos it has the lean angle and throttle position indicator but no fuel gage to be seen. Appreciate it. Keep up the nice videos.
So much gizmos and missing a truly useful feature, don't really care about throttle opening position, I know how much it's opened however the fuel left in the tank is really useful information. sigh
Ooof! whats not to like! Shes a looker! Tuono doesn't quite have the visual appeal for me still looks like sports bike with fairing taken off as do alot of these nakeds. Main reason i always liked both superdukes , comes across as a purpose built not just a stripped down superbike
How did you come up with the name Lamb Chop,it's catchy! Have you you tried the Aprilla Tuano Factory, I think that's the best naked bike on the market!
WyeRider Agreed. A complete scam by the manufacturer. Treating the customer like a twat and not a king. Must be able to get someone to plug it in and access the codes you need. Software isn't too difficult to get your hands on if you dig around the right places on the net.
+Dohan Kuswardi it has way more Dohan, it feels like at least 1/4 more shove than the mt10. It's a little intimating wouldn't like to ride it without anti wheelie where mt10 you felt like you could control it and perhaps have more fun because of it...
bloodyhell... i tought my mt 09 is crazy fast enough but i was wrong i guess. now im sure im gonna get the beast over di mt10.well there goes my mt09 up for sale... and bring on the beast! cheers mate! :D
For a Superduke review this doesn't nearly have enough wheelies ;) A 'Savage' bike like this should really have a analog tach imo. Something like the 1000R has. That just fits the theme of the bike. I personally dislike the dash, with the sharp angles of the bike the dash feels odd with thick bezels and so. Lovely sound though, even with the stock can.
+WickedDimension yeah I agree needed more wheelies haha. I tried to turn anti wheelie off but couldn't find it 😣 I gave up in the end as didn't want to die haha. Think it would take some acclimatisation to wheelie compared to the 701!
Hi Chops. Are you sure about "The low seat option at no extra charge"? The Dealers in Sydney look at me like talking nonsense when ask them about it. Not so much the "no extra charge" just the fact that there is a "low seat option".
+mark dearing yeah I could have got my wires crossed there sorry... I've heard nothing about it since either! It was something this dealer said but I'm doubtful now it's true sorry
I had my '12 Speed Triple R stolen a few weeks ago. Now the problem is this... 1.90m*95kg rider, this or the tuono 1100? I REALLY can't make my mind up. The v4 speaks to me, this i probably a much better all rounder and i like to do quite a few kms when i ride.
+valebliz haha yeah 😂😂 Tuono is like a comfortable sports bike, SD a more comfortable naked with incredible torque. Both very different but awesome in different ways such a tough call
I fear it'll end up to where the missus can put her lovely ass on with slightly less pain. She was fine on the speed up to 400-450kms/day, i fear the tuono backseat could be less forgiving. I ride solo, but happen to do quite a bit of two up also, living near the french alps...
Other than the wind protection, the seating position is extremely good. I have done 1000+ miles days on my 2016 (which is slightly different seating position, but not much).
Very tough and I think it depends what you want from the bike, think of the Tuono as a comfortable sportsbike. The 1290R is more comfortable. Im borrowing a 1290R for two week shortly from KTM so will know more soon!
II own 2014 ktm 1290 super duke r in the past and i know the beast but i never ride a tuono before, and here in my country we dont have test ride bikes, very pity ...I dont know wich is best for more aggrasive ride, aprilia tuono or ktm 1290Sd ???
Ahahahaha, I felt exactly the same when I got my SuperDuke few weeks ago. 😎😎😎😎 That bike will give you a smile everyday... Don't think to much, just BUY IT !!!!! Enjoy & ride safe. ✌️✌️✌️ 🏍🏍🏍
hi lcr, how did you find the speedo cluster placement? i r=tested one recently and found it too low.. i am re testing it to re affirm myself with it a bit., any niggles with it or your last one long term other than the vague clutch you mention in other vids? thanks man
Lamb Chop Rides thanks man more spicy than my gs, if I see you up loomies or whiteways I’ll get you a coffee ps pioneer run next Sunday 👍 go to the chalet cafe
Abnormal Wrench agreed! I finished off my 11th sport bike with a '15 crossplane R1, which was also my favorite but with a bad back from a Ducati accident I had to move away from sportbikes. Had NO IDEA what I was missing. The supernakeds particularly are weapons at the track but an absolute thrill ride everywhere else. Just bobbing the front wheel around town or playing with the toque in the twisties! I couldn't ride more than 30 minutes afte my accident and can ride 12 house no pain on my FZ10 (MT10) . The MT10 obviously is not quite a 1290r but it's extremely capable , scary fast and a very compatible Supernaked nearly at base naked pricing. I've LOVED my FZ10 and truly it is the most fun bike I've owned by far! With the crossplane torque down low and geared it actually feels faster to me than my R1 but just that torque and quickness. I LOvED the 1290R and the Tuono Factory, those two turned me to the Snaked side! Just wish I had more money to take the next step to one of those! Although honesty as much as I've fallen in love with the base FZ10, IF I could find an MT10 SP, that would be my choice! r1M based MT10 with all the top level performance exotic parts . Shame ya can't get them here!
Seems like you talked your self into it Chops👍🏻Hell of a lot of money but we know you can find it down the back of the sofa mate!😉 Did you buy it though?🤔😎
I love this bike but really not happy about these darn unlock codes, I mean they have already fitted the equipment and technology so why not just make it usable out of the crate, seriously put off by this, it's just seems stupid to me. Great review btw mate.
Lamb Chop Rides yeah it's crazy cheaper the 2016 ktm SDR was £1400 the 2017 Yamaha mt10 is £463 it's crazy how much they differ I'm going for the mt10 tourer for a bit more comfort and refinement however I can still be a hooligan when I want . there's also the initial purchase price £11639 with extras vs nearly 15k is it really worth it I'm not 100% sure after riding them both
+Karl pickering wow that is suprising! No I would agree probably not worth the extra.. budget no object yes it's a more fun motorcycle but I wouldn't rule out the mt10 I loved it!
Aye that's it unfortunately just budget cuts it and wanting brand new with warranty it's cb1000r gsxs1000 or mt10 and it's deffo the mt10 from them 3 . altho compared to my current 4 bikes (firestorm, 89 cbr1000f , 86 tuned vespa and custom c90 chop) anyone of them would be a culture shock as bikes have improved not only in power but handling brakes and just suspension geometry.
ahahah is KTM owned by EA? DLC to unlock your quickshifter... whatever next, ranks for how much you're riding it? congrats you're rank #10 - Weekend Warrior.
Got my 2018 last week, best bike I’ve ever had. Your reviews sold this beast to me so thank you
"This feels gorgeous." Excited gushing. You got it. Just got my 2018 today. Absolutely incredible.
The perfect start for a Monday morning. A lamb chop rides review, most excellent, and what a machine!
+Nick Horton cheers Nick 👍
I bought one after having 2 of the previous generation 1290's & yes it's fantastic, much more refined, easier to ride & less tiring after a long ride. I live in a mountainous region & the quickshifter is FAB especially downshifts coming up to a sharp bend. Off to Spain for the weekend, only 1 hour from where i live. Can't wait.
+gary lons lucky bugger! I'm missing it already 😢
Bought the older model last year and loving it. Blades in the garage collecting dust !!!!
+Andrew Penson yup I can imagine it is! Boring in comparison
How does it compare with the mt10
from all bikes you drive and i see here in TH-cam, the Duke has far the best, the richest sound bye far!!, no S1000RR, no Streetfighter V4s sounds so good to me
Your videos on this bike helped sell me this bike... love my 2018 SDR
the best vlog review hands down
+Dohan Kuswardi thanks Dohan 👍
The tuono vs superduke is a preference thing both are great and we all know you are going to end up with one of them look forward to hearing that v4
You ride just like me.So good to meet a fellow nutter. You ride the bike like it should be ridden.I will go and buy one based on your demonstration.
It really is an unbelievably capable machine. Such a quality beast. Easily the most fun and exciting motorcycle I've ever owned & ridden. +Curtis Lenox haha thanks... I think 😂
Video looked great quality wise and content wise!
+Célestin de Serres-Lafontaine thanks matey 👍
I'm glad it's not just me that doesn't dare fully open her up! Even in third that front wheel is coming up...
Nice video.
I will be interested to see your review of the Aprilia. Great video, thanks for sharing.
The thing that struck me as so unusual about the 2016 I test rode was how lightly it turned from side to side.
Would love to hear/see your comparison ride with the Tuono! As a historical mk1 1290 SDR owner.
Thanks for the vid Lamb Chop! Some video therapy whilst I wait for mine to arrive...getting inpatient!
+SinChase you lucky sod! I'm well jelious 😭
Do it! Do it! Whilst the unlock codes are pretty damn naff, since when did slip-ons start costing the best part of £800?!
Awesome review and yep a absolute beast of a machine!
+D C thanks DC appreciated buddy 👍
Señor Lamb Chop , just go for the tuono v4 factory 2017!!!!!! that v4 engine alone gets it hard... hahaha i do admit the KTM looks really nice indeed !
+rausd yeah I know I'm going to love the Tuono... can't stretch to 16k though just too much!
rausd I test rode the Tuono it's just awesome it's the perfect weapon! However it's just too ballistic for the road imo.
David Warner it's the best bike I've owned so far!!,I have the 2016 factory and up here in the mountains it's ripping ridiculously good on these roads!! rausd The Tuono has the class and cache the KTM lacks.
You're videos are awesome man! Great quality video and audio. Also like how you recorded from a perspective of two different angles as well! Red button has been clicked. :)
+Titan From Hell thanks Titan 👍👍
Can u do a video on how long the thrill of a new bilke lasts?
+David Yeo haha very good idea but don't think I have them quite long enough for that 😀
Picked my new one up last week mate its just fun to ride I'm happy with it
Thanks for the advise chops, I got me a duke 2 yesterday friggin love it man I saw you up loomies Sunday but didn’t manage to finish me breakfast in time to come n say hello before you scooted off , I did the ride for autism from Shoreham , maybe next time , love the duke man 👌🏽🤟🏻

Who is this Comparable to 2016 S 1000RR or Rsv4 RF 2016 for Daily use as I am confused I can get all these in nearly same Price
The Aprilia V4 Touno might be interesting for you.
+Philip P. Yes love the dam thing.. trying one this week!
Getting the 390 version of this as 1290 is not available in my country. your honest review would be very cool but maybe you only ride big bikes huh
You will love the 2017 Tuono.
RR version is just fine for the road, btw.
I took one of these for a test ride, was planning on buying one. After a test ride, I felt the bike was cheap, couldn't put my finger on it but it felt very over priced compared to other bikes in the category.
Jayden Valentine I have owned 5 KTMs and never had an oil leak in any
While working on the 690 Enduro. I started chatting to a MT-07 owner , turns out he's a service manager at my local KTM dealer. All I'm saying is there NOT as reliable as you think.
I wouldnt take his opinion seriously as he only sees the faults on a day to day basis
+Psycho Paul ah interesting... I think any bike can have issues I guess, I guess time will tell!
There are way too many variables to simply believe such a statement without facts.
Lamb Chop Rides No no no don't get me wrong. If I had a spare £14k one would be sitting in my garage. 😎.
I said the same thing the first time i hopped off mine: Where is the kickstand!
hihihi you said doo doo 11:44 ;) Loved the video, dreaming about this bike.

Does anyone else’s cruise control light on the TFT blink while CC is not in use?
just had some lovely lamp chops, bikes nice too mate :D
+Bob cheers Bob 😎😎
will you be at the MCN all weekend ?
www.mcnfestival.com/
Bob yes bike will be there all weekend, I will be there most of the day sat and Sunday. Come and say hi if your going 👍
Did you have any info about the lower seat option?
Hi LCR, Great video, you said that they do a low seat option i wasn't aware of that also with the slip on Akra you can take out the baffle by way as i have done it on my black 2015 sd r, I am just about to get the 2017 in black by the way so yep i definitely like the MK 1.

Decided yet??? SuperDuke or Tuono
I get that a supernaked is better as a road bike but would you miss the stability? I find on my speed when you are pushing on things can get wobbly. It sounds like the KTM is your perfect bike, get a 2nd hand older model with full exhaust for 10k happy days !
Great job, I came across your channel while looking into the new Tuono and ended up watching many of your other videos. thank you. Subscribing...
Thanks Dude!
Amazing ride!! just wandering how your editing the Speedo blur to follow?! I'm using final cut and its driving me nuts!!!
I have to compare it with previous naked Aprilia Tuono, and I must say Tuono was prettier, and better sounding. How is the mpg on this one ?
Tuono needs revs, 1290 doesn't.

You mentioned a low seat option that's free? Is this from KTM or only from your dealership?
+Lamb Chop Rides Would you rather have the tuono or the super duke r
Cruise control. What for?
195 kg dry is light for a 1300.
Are they reliable? EDIT: you've mentioned this, but I'm not convinced.
How much in UK, please? EDIT: you answered this question.
The 1290R is actually a pretty good bike if you want to do some short to medium range touring.
Didn’t you end up buying it it’s so fun to ride
I wonder what the reliability will be on this bike. I whant either one of these, or a fz10
Wish people would just drop all the "Italians make bikes like X, Germans make bikes like X, but the Japanese......"
All of that nonsense is a thing of the past. They are all so good these days, you're arguing about gnat's hairs.
I had to go with Pirelli Angel GT, on my SuperDuke, was destroying rear tire to quickly
Bit concerned the pixels keep leaking out of the display 🤣
+sirico yeah it weird... only happened over 70 ish
.
What a machine. Holy hell. Have to say aswell, looks very smart in that colour scheme. I think its safe to say, here is your new ride ahahaha. Although, a Tuono would be very welcome too ahaha, but not as easy on the wallet ;)
+Samuel Wicks yeah I agree! Looks bonkers to match the engine 😀😀
this bike is so amazing!
i really like the colored instrument cluster.
But isnt this bike slightly on the costly side??
I have a couple questions:
Q1) Would you recommend it for touring?
Its called the GT I believe
Great video mate. Have you ridden the GT version at all? Very, very, very, very tempted!
No I haven't tried the GT, I think it would make an amazing touring bike as just cruises effortlessly. Get one bought!
I'm trying, I'm trying haha! Might have to have a sneaky test-ride at weekend ;)
on my to do list, test ride the Ktm 1290 Super Duke Aww yesss!
+ft rider highly recommend 😀👍👍
you have driven in the street or sport mode
+Denis Dickhut I tried both Denis, couldn't really tell much difference between them..
No hate but I love the previous full black color. That one looked like a true war tank but this one looks like just another little naked streetfighter with lots of paint job. But that doesn't mean I don't like it, I just like the previous paint scheme more.
J Chris Tmg you can get it in black... pretty sure of that
Are you doing a comparison with the new Tuono?
+BatuKMan1 hoping to ride Tuono tomorrow!
Great, can you please check if it has a fuel gage? It seems a dumb question but in all the videos it has the lean angle and throttle position indicator but no fuel gage to be seen. Appreciate it. Keep up the nice videos.
OK will do matey
They don't have a fuel gauge, just a warning light.
So much gizmos and missing a truly useful feature, don't really care about throttle opening position, I know how much it's opened however the fuel left in the tank is really useful information. sigh
Pretty sure it has cornering TC, even the 1190 adv has had that forever. :)
Ooof! whats not to like! Shes a looker! Tuono doesn't quite have the visual appeal for me still looks like sports bike with fairing taken off as do alot of these nakeds. Main reason i always liked both superdukes , comes across as a purpose built not just a stripped down superbike
+950Boy that is a good point I agree, I love the bonkers looks matches the engine 😀
pick your dealer, I didn't have to pay for the downloads when I got mine. got money of the bike to. pays to shop around 🖒
+George Newell that's interesting George looks like some deals to be had then. ..
How did you come up with the name Lamb Chop,it's catchy! Have you you tried the Aprilla Tuano Factory, I think that's the best naked bike on the market!
+Thomas Evers rode it today Thomas so will be the next vid 😉
LCR, have you tried the Ducati Monster 1200R and the Yam MT10 SP yet?
+Boz no not yet Boz, hopefully at some point 👍
its always looks wet when LC Rides,be careful with all that power
If you ride it, you know it.............. ONE BIG GRINS from ear to ear.
The fact that you have to pay for unlock codes is bullshit. DLC for your bike?! That's just a slap in the face to customers.
Yes agreed its complete bollocks, should all be there as stock
KTM must have lots of gamers working for them
WyeRider Agreed. A complete scam by the manufacturer. Treating the customer like a twat and not a king. Must be able to get someone to plug it in and access the codes you need. Software isn't too difficult to get your hands on if you dig around the right places on the net.
how do you compare the beast to the mt10 in terms of real life power and torque?:D
Consider its £3000-£4000 more than the MT10 though
Great bike! 👍
Looks a bit like a Klingon war bike 😏
+RidingTheAlps 15 haha yeah it does!
Did you buy it? Jon from Ireland Dublin....
+John OReardon not yet John, still on shortlist!
Lol I know the feeling. Beautiful bike. I'd luv a shot on one.... I only do motorcross now. 😣.. Hope you've a great weekend. Jon...
"You daren't turn off the TC", don't worry Chops, that sentiment will soon change if you buy it. Love mine, its truly bonkers.
+Coldfin9er yeah I know, I tried to turn it off but thought better of it haha
Aso okay you have the weehlie controll is turned off then she goes to the right beast that she just goes up front
+Denis Dickhut yeah dare turn that off!! 😲😲
For a Superduke review this doesn't nearly have enough wheelies ;)
A 'Savage' bike like this should really have a analog tach imo.
This is super delicious.. heck I want one as well!
I want this bike so bad
+Sam Grattan that makes two of us Sam 😎😎
+valebliz so tough.. I've had a Tuono for a week and now the Super Duke for 2 weeks.. I still don't know!
I know, i can't get to a point. I'm going back and forth 5 times a day. First world problems uh lol
I ride solo, but happen to do quite a bit of two up also, living near the french alps...
is her ass lovely?
How’s this bike for 200-500 mike rides?
quite good, seat could use some more padding but its not bad. I know this as have one myself now and have done over 500 miles per day on it.
Lamb Chop Rides thanks! I have few bikes in mind. Will test drive and see what I pick.
Other than the wind protection, the seating position is extremely good. I have done 1000+ miles days on my 2016 (which is slightly different seating position, but not much).
Wich is beter 2017 aprilia Tuono 1100 or 2017 KTM 1290 superduke r ?
Very tough and I think it depends what you want from the bike, think of the Tuono as a comfortable sportsbike. The 1290R is more comfortable. Im borrowing a 1290R for two week shortly from KTM so will know more soon!
II own 2014 ktm 1290 super duke r in the past and i know the beast but i never ride a tuono before, and here in my country we dont have test ride bikes, very pity ...I dont know wich is best for more aggrasive ride, aprilia tuono or ktm 1290Sd ???
I would say Tuono is the more exciting out of the two if you want thrills..
Did you find the seat on the KTM to be incredibly hard? (actually, way too soft, to the point it may as well not have a seat cushion)
Ktm 1290 is better because it has more low end power
So the general consensus is "mmmmm yeah I want one mmmmmmm give me one" haha :D I would have to agree, it's a proper animal!!
haha yeah exactly!! :-)
Keeps Taking Money... WTF about the codes to unlock it all?!
The 1290 Super Duke "ARRRRRR"
Ahahahaha, I felt exactly the same when I got my SuperDuke few weeks ago. 😎😎😎😎 That bike will give you a smile everyday... Don't think to much, just BUY IT !!!!! Enjoy & ride safe. ✌️✌️✌️ 🏍🏍🏍
Yeah its an amazing bike so tempted!! Enjoy yours dude!
hi lcr, how did you find the speedo cluster placement? i r=tested one recently and found it too low.. i am re testing it to re affirm myself with it a bit., any niggles with it or your last one long term other than the vague clutch you mention in other vids? thanks man
From what I remember it seemed fine.. No other niggles with the 2 version. Clutch is also fixed with the 2.0 I would recommend one still lovely bike
Lamb Chop Rides thanks man more spicy than my gs, if I see you up loomies or whiteways I’ll get you a coffee ps pioneer run next Sunday 👍 go to the chalet cafe
Will take you up on that Geoff 😉
It isnt that the LED generates that much heat, but the fact that LED's cant handle heat that well like a normal bulb because of the electronics
+Roger Skogberget ah thank you Roger that makes sense!
Haha just noticed that is crescent in verwood, my dad actually owns the company aha
see, no one cares lil' bitch.
You do proper reviews!
+Ryan McCabe cheers Ryan 👍
"With naked's out there like this, why are people buying sport bikes?"
Good question.
Shame ya can't get them here!
i hate England always a little bit of rain drops on the camera lens and you cant see sh*t on the dash..
Seems like you talked your self into it Chops👍🏻Hell of a lot of money but we know you can find it down the back of the sofa mate!😉 Did you buy it though?🤔😎
+ninjanelly350 I've talked myself back out of it again now haha
The only problem is speed over 120mph, no wind protection.
+Michael Kastner I think that a plus as limits your top speed 👍
haha the guy doesn't give a fook. 80 - 100 in 40 zones. I mean if ya gonna test a bike you may as well do it properly. I like this guy.
Do those damp roads not bother you? 😆
to me V twins sound so much better than L twins
I love this bike but really not happy about these darn unlock codes, I mean they have already fitted the equipment and technology so why not just make it usable out of the crate, seriously put off by this, it's just seems stupid to me. Great review btw mate.
Yes seems a bit... underhand... When your not actually getting anything physical for your money its rather crap!
Its a bit like paying for a prostitute and not being able to make use of the all facilities isn't it! lol
I own a 16; do yourself a favor and buy one lol! You really gotta watch first gear lol, the beast doesn't like being suppressed haha!
So many lambgasms there's mint sauce everywhere!
+Tony Morrow haha yes I did leave my minty juices all over it 😂😂
dream bike right there however I just canne afford it with insurance and such
so mt10 is the one in my budget and it's arriving in November
+Karl pickering Is the insurance much cheaper on the mt10 then? I would of thought they would be similar.. mt10 is still awesome!!
+Karl pickering yeah your going to love it! Enjoy it buddy I'm jelious 👍
ahahah is KTM owned by EA? DLC to unlock your quickshifter... whatever next, ranks for how much you're riding it? congrats you're rank #10 - Weekend Warrior.
I know crazy isnt it!! haha
