I think why some people do not like SOD is because SOD is aimed at a niche audience. Mega zombie nerds wanting to have a sandbox experience.
A lot of people have said it is just grinding for more resources....In a way that is true. However they are missing the biggest part of SOD. It's never been about an overarching story, or a building centric game like 7 days to die.
It's about the story told during the runs. It's that time you went out to get some foods, all cocky because you had good gear and had not encountered anything to bad in awhile....and bam! A horde you never saw comming corners you behind a counter and you just lost your best character in a hail of molotovs and gunfire just trying to bring back some snack.
Or that time you parked just a little too far away and you ran out of stamina just as a horde chases you down and drags those 5 bags of ammo you were loading with you. Finally collapsing to the horde just when you thought you were doing so well....
Or that time you just made it to base, no hp or meds, and managed to bring back a ton of supplies after a nice run.
It has never been about big set pieces, it's about an organic free flowing gameplay narrative that pulls 0 strings and has a different story every time you play it through what happens on those runs. It has a loose story sure, but its just a framework. SOD in of itself is a sandbox. It's about what you do with it.
While I will admit SOD is better with mods (increased zombie density, zombies do more damage, less ammo/guns etc)....it's exactly what a niche group of zombie nerds want.
People demand more, but what they are missing is, this is basically a reworked, built upon redone game on a better engine with more map space. Is it anything super new? No.
It's more of what it's niche fan base liked in the first place with a few new ideas for 30 bucks. Could they have done more? Sure. But what game could not have done "more'?
People are just jaded and can't accept not every game is for every person. Just like some books are not etc.
SOD is fucking awesome and I cannot wait for the 22nd.

Jumli I clipped inside an object in the army base. I'm not sure whether you can use the radio yet at that point, as it hadn't told me how yet, so I don't know to what extent it was "game-breaking," but it did force a restart.
I think the main problem with the game's reception is that a lot of people seemed to be hyping this up before release as though it were going to be a big, system selling, killer app for XBox (ala God of War, etc. for PlayStation) when it was never going to be. Those people, and those who were misled by them, seem to be the ones that are most disappointed with the game.

I got a tip thats pretty important imo. If you're having trouble with morale but your food, ammo, etc and all that is good, take a look at your community members stats in the community screen. If you keep getting the radio calls of your community getting in arguments thats exactly why your morale is in the negative. Look for the person that is starting the fights and exile them. Most of the time they're useless anyway. Example; when I first started playing I had someone that was "Lazy" and "Loves to pick on other community members" she never helped do anything. I exiled her and morale went up significantly. Havnt had a single fight in my community since and i have 10 people. I just thought it was pretty useful so I had to share.

raymond long another tip: if a bloater is coming towards you and you’re in a car, drive away as fast as the game lets you. also, if the bloater’s explosion lands on the car, park the car somewhere and jump out. the area of effect should stay near the car, and although you’ll be effected, you have a lesser chance of dying.

VERY HELPFUL TIP: you can transfer multiple rucksacks/items at a time if you park your vehicle in the parking space, enter your trunk, and press RT (if you’re playing Xbox) on the object you want to transfer. Not sure of the button for PC players but it should appear at the bottom of your screen when you’re in the trunk and in the parking spot at your base. What I did before leaving the army outpost right as you start the game, make sure to run in circles with your first character to level up their cardio skill to lvl. 7, then you will get to choose the second skill set, choose which skill you want then repeat running in circles until lvl. 7.
This will take 30 minutes more or less but is well worth the time. You won’t see any prompts popping up telling you that you have leveled up so check your menu to keep track.
You will be off to a greater start as the time at the army base never changes until you leave to find your first base, use it well.

The advice about pleasing the other communities in the game is actually pretty bad. Most of them offer worthless rewards/bonuses and eat up all your time and resources that you should be using to improve your own situation. In a sense, the other enclaves just become annoying parasites after a while; you shouldn't feel bad about wasting them once they become hostile for not giving them what they want. In a way, this game teaches you life lessons. Learn to say no. I only wish there was a "stfu I never agreed to help you" option in this game.

Actually the allies enclaves add some real beneficial things to your community. There’s some that give you ammo, food, materials, etc. on a daily basis. There’s some that add some beds to your community, some give you sniper support which is extremely useful. If you build your community properly, you’ll have plenty of resources to give other enclaves to assist them.

Here are a few tips for you guys having difficulty.
1: You can get outposts that provide power and water to your sanctuary. Costs fuel per day, but both provide great morale boosts and allow smoother upgrading.
2: Spread out your outposts. They provide drop-off sites for non-rucksack items. You can use this to your advantage by putting one in the center of a location you haven't scavenged to lessen how often you need to travel to and from the sanctuary.
3: Outposts provide the benefit no matter where it is; even the beds, lol...
4: Sound making consumables distract zombies even if they know you're there. They will literally stop what they are doing and walk right to it. Use them to get out if you're getting swarmed.
5: Plague Hearts get stronger the fewer they are. Molotovs and fuel bombs are the safest and generally fastest way to take them out. .50cal using weapons will one or two shot them.
    HOW I TAKE OUT HEARTS:
    Kill surrounding zombies.
Throw incendiary consumables until it starts to summon help.
    Run up to Heart.
Drop bottle rocket item (forgot name).
Run back until it goes off.
    Let zombies cluster near Heart.
    Bomb all of it.
    Repeat until dead.
Once the heart dies ALL remaining Plague zombies (red ones) nearby IMMEDIATELY die. If you think it's close, just keep throwing/shooting/swinging (safely).

There's a chance that the Trader/s will be from Red Talon (a group of paramilitary survivors). This is the best way to find the biiiig guns in the game. I.e. the SCAR, M40 grenade launcher, Kriss Vectors, M14s, .50 cal snipers/literal anti aircraft guns.
Next, and to a very similar extent: go find the military outposts and checkpoints. These are the second best way to find really good weapons such as M4A1 DMRs, Grenade Launchers, AK47s, and loads of ammunition.
Next, if you see an item box that looks like a gun case with a gold lining on it OPEN THAT IMMEDIATELY!! They almost always have an extremely rare weapon or trade item in them. Including (but not limited to) LITERAL BROADSWORDS, big ass axes, Skorpion evos, ARs, or anything else really.
Lastly and not involving weapons necessarily: Play online with a buddy, it's way easier and more fun to have a buddy watching your back. :) Good luck friends!

Use .50 cal bullets on the plague hearts it takes them down in 3 hits

  • @TinkyTheCat
    @TinkyTheCat 6 ปีที่แล้ว +44

You can safely melee plague hearts: When you hear a rushing noise and see red mist gathering toward the heart back off, because it's about to do an aoe that will damage you if you remain within ~two yards. A few plague zombies usually come in while it does this attack, so just kill those. After the new zeds are dead it should be safe to approach the heart again.
They're really not hard to destroy even without guns/explosives so long as you're careful.

      @niahcyan5 6 ปีที่แล้ว

TinkyTheCat I’ve done it with only fireworks and a rusty screwdriver (I don’t use melee weapons.) I was surprised how easy it was. At the moment I have around thirty plague hearts and a couple plague cure vials for other enclaves. I honestly thought I would hate the plague hearts but I ended up loving the new edition.

    • @TinkyTheCat
      @TinkyTheCat 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I'm aware they get harder. It's more a tip for early on when ammo and weapons are still tight. I've also lost count of how many people I've seen just standing in the aoe taking damage - even though the heart clearly telegraphs when it's getting ready to do it.

The whole heart thing is a bad strat, I like to place a noise making consumable outside like the boombox then throw a Molotov at the heart and activate the boombox the zombies will ignore you so you're free to go to town on the heart.

  • @eno2870
    @eno2870 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Plague Heart pro tip: Sneak inside the building, drop 2-3 C4 and or 5-6 Remote box mines. Walk out. Detonate them. Instant kill.
Failing that, a boom box placed outside the building can go a long ways towards buying you some time while you molotov it to death. Automatic shotguns are also a good choice. Whatever you do, don't just go in and melee it.. as that hardly does anything and you'll just end up with a dozen zombies coming at you from every possible direction all at once.

Wow. This video was pretty useless. All info in here you learn just from playing the first hour or so of the game. Only thing worth knowing is number 7, of everyone in your community does its game.
Here's some other tips people might actually like to know, things the game doesn't outright tell you.
    1. You have a maximum storage for food, medicine, etc. Anything extra is lost or "spoiled" so don't hoard all things right off the bat. Also this max can be upgraded.
    2. Ruck sacks left on the ground will "spoil" over time, but not in a vehicle. Use extra vehicles as ruck sack storage.
    3. Repairing weapons can cost lots of resources, so salvage lame weapons you won't ever use like baseball bats or crowbar
    4. This is personal opinion on this one but, blunt weapons seem far more effective. Knockdown is king.
    5. The crouch/dodge mechanic, when timed properly, can scoot you right behind a zombie which can than be grappled and stealth killed even if knows you're there.
    6. Vans have the largest trunk space (that I've found so far)
    7. Outpost slots are best used for power and water. Everything can be gathered with ease (early game anyways)
    8. You can move cities. I prefer Foothills as a starting city ( first base had most diverse resources near it including weapons shops) as for late game not sure.

    • @eno2870
      @eno2870 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

Cannot agree with this more. These are the sorts of tips I was expecting after completing the game twice myself. The only thing I'd maybe disagree with is the weapon choice. I prefer blades, as they tend to kill zombies outright far more often. That said, blunt weapons can buy you a lot of breathing room in a horde.. and let you execute downed zombies as well.
I really wish there were more parking slots (and, well.. bigger bases in general). By the end of my first game I had something like ten different vehicles parked outside the container castle (with only 3 parking spots). Half of those were full of leftover rucksacks, or sacks I'd withdrawn to make room for food overflow from farms/gardens.

    • @nonyabusiness9668

You dont actually have to raid a plague heart just to get enough samples, going to a heart with a car and honking like crazy while running them over is a lot easier, just make sure to carry a toolbox and extra fuel incase you get stranded, its also recommended to upgrade your choice of zombie mower with lots of armor, and remember no matter how tanky your car gets it cant beat a juggernaut.

  • @StrongOaker
    @StrongOaker 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Claim in this order food, fuel, medical resource sites asap (400 each). Build at least 1 farm. Soon as you then have 600 more influence proceed to a water tower, once it is claimable go to the base screen (climb the tower ladder 10ft to be safe) and drop the food site from the base screen, this will refund the 400 spent and now give you the 1000 you need to claim the water tower. This is a constant source of water to your base which means upgraded farms etc (if you have a gardener). Now build up another 1600 influence and repeat with an electrical transformer or power plant site (2000 cost total) and drop medical. This means constant SILENT power for your base. Keep the fuel site handy. It is important Water, Electrical and Fuel are in the top 3 because later you will have base modes for your command center to allow more outposts, when that happens transfering to a new base will remove the mod and drop the last sites that it cant support any more until you put the mod back into your command center. Obviously you dont want to drop water/electric as they are HUGE to your base. not to mention loosing water makes your farms instantly downgrade base to level 1, so you would have to reclaim water tower and upgrade all your farms after a transfer if they dropped.

You can transfer items from your car trunk directly into your base. Park in a designated parking spot, and look for the button option in the interface. You don't have to carry each rucksack in from the car one at a time, and it's the easiest way to load up the car with spare fuel and repair kits.
Plague hearts: Get the 50 call sniper (through a special quest) and three shots max from it will kill a plague heart. From a far, safe range (if you can get LOS to the heart through a window or door).

I’ve been playing since release and am on my 4th community.
    Have not lost one member.
I have loads of advice to give because of those facts.
    1. Finding books to learn skills is essential for the survivors you find with skills able to learn. That way you can have one survivor for each skill.
    2. Buying or making a vehicle upgrade and applying it to the vehicles you have is very important. Upgraded vehicles not only look amazing but don’t waste gas as much and last longer.
    3. Choosing outpost in every little town and for each resource you need is important. That way when you’re stranded, your never too far to resupply from base. And say you have -6 food income every day, but only -1 on the other resources, you should be getting all food providing outpost.
    4. Use your vehicles as storage, if you can’t fit anymore rucksacks at base, just store them in the trunks of vehicles.
    5. Always go to anyone requesting help or trades with a weapon already reloaded. They go hostile on you, hit dodge to back away, aim, fire. Headshot is instant kill on humans too.
    6. Making a workstation and upgrading it allows to make fuel bombs. 9 each. These are very good against infestations and plague hearts.
    7. Don’t take another of your community with you on hard task, take one from a friendly group. But make sure the one you take is good at shooting or fighting.
    8. Every time you leave. Leave with health restoration, ammo for your gun, your gun, and melee weapon. If you don’t have much stamina, then take something for that as well, and put a thing of gas in the trunk of any vehicles you drive.
    9. Save up for the best base. In each map it cost 3500. But always worth it. Some less than it are okay depending if you need better location. But the best is always well, the best.
    10. If you hear the yell of a feral and you’re driving. Find it and run it over with some speed. Easy 25 influence. If you’re walking, aim for the head when it screams because it won’t be waiting after that.
    11. If a juggernaut is near an objective or home and you aren’t equipped enough, just have it chase you about 5 times with his charge away from the object and go back. He will forget you.
    12. Starting with a Builder as your leader is very helpful for later communities. After completing the game with them, they give you power and water for your new community at no fuel cost. The other leaders don’t give much.
    13. Valley is, in my opinion, the best map. Mostly open land with water you can drive through so you don’t have mountains blocking you from traveling.
    14. Hitting zombies while driving is fun, but wears the car down quick. Best to avoid them till you get to your destination. Then run them over all you want.

    • @i_Tagg
      @i_Tagg 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      15. After completion you can take 3 survivors from the completed one to the new one. So decide before ending which 3 you want and fully stock them with goodies and rucksacks. You’ll start your new game with good things that way.
      16. You don’t always have to help a unknown survivor. But you should always help enclaves already discovered.
      17. If you come across a group that likes to capture zombies and eventually asks you to shoot certain body parts off. After you reach the location it asks you to go to, if you can’t shoot that many hands or legs off the zombies, just go to base and let your community do it with hordes attacking base. Still counts.

Once you move into the Storage Container fort base later in the game, build enough farms (food/med), workshops, forge etc to exceed your daily usage. Now immediately proceed to go claim homes and drop those trashy +1/day outposts, the 2 beds are more valuable later on and no morale hit for those vs outdoor beds. Save that barracks spot for the staging area so your base looses no resources for upkeep each day. My Storage home is sell sustaining, my outposts: Water Tower, Electric Plant, house x 5 (10 survivors sleeping well). yes I realize small spots you can do 3 bunk beds , so 3 slots = 9 people but 3 slots also means farms producing 2-6 meds/day (6-18 meds/day). also the 3 beds upgrade in the small spots have a morale hit outside AND generate noise for daily maint (even though it costs nothing for maint with the Staging Area it still generates noise). Why are meds important, well see create those CURE packs (the luxury item containing 4 cures) and sell them to traders for nice influence.

StrongOaker i gain at least + 1 on everything. +2 food, +4.5 medecine, + 1 ammo, + 2 materials, + 1 fuel. I have the container fort. 2 hydroponics one for meds one for food. The food one has a compost bin and the med one has pestecides as a mod. These increase production of both. I have a staging area, Workshop, infirmary, armory, kitchen, and i have 1 small slot that i can put whatever i want on it. But it usually has a shooting range. I beat this game 4x and the sheriff and builder's bonuses work great. Free supplies each day and free, silent, base wide power and water. I just use my 6 outpost to recieve whatever i need.

    1. if you have to play alone, take one member of your community with you. Keep your outings short and planned before you leave the base. I am going here, doing this and then coming back to resupply/rest.
    2. Proper base management is key and easy to reach a balanced state of gain/loss of resources within a couple of days of gameplay if you just read the descriptions of each outpost and base facility.
    3. You want several buggies. You need at least two for operations, three to five to block doors and use as external rucksack storage so you don't go over your base capabilities and have it wasted by RNG. (Never leave home without a spare can of fuel in the trunk)
    4. Take it all, loot everything possible. Even if you are not going to use it, you can scrap it or sell it to a trader so make the most out of each supply run.
    5. When playing with friends, have a buggy for each player. One supply run can turn into a bonanza of rucksacks if done correctly. When searching have at least on player in the group running over watch while the other's search.

During SOD1, members with Powerhouse skill (or perk) allows you to learn the wrestling skill, which a certain individual can destroy a horse or two single-handed, and members with Nimble skill (or perk, again) can learn the low sweep kick and leap frog, which you'll become untouchable while setting every zombie into a downed state, ready for a head pop.
The three things you'll have to look out for are your health, stamina, and certain freaks. No fear of biting since the animation is locked, but they still scratch, so always pop a pill, and snack ahead before you go in a solo massacre.

#4: I would say that the stated was wrong, while yes, euthanizing your settlers is easy, it really isn't worth doing. It takes only 5 plague samples and I believe 3 meds to make a cure, plague samples are very easy to come by, and 3 meds is a small hit, for a one time deal as survivors really do not get the blood plague that often unless you're just really good at getting shredded up by plague zombies, so I'd say to stay away from killing off settlers who may have many useful skills, but that's just one man's humble opinion

Oh, saw a comment about bladed vs blunt.
Bladed: generally lighter, swing faster, and typically low durability.
Blunt: heavier, slower swing, and higher durability.
For general 'everyman' use, blunt weapons do typically come out on top. They are also generally superior against groups.
However, if your survivor gets the Swordsmanship skill to maximum rank, it allows them to execute zombies face to face with bladed weapons instead of having to get behind them.

Fap Master69 you can go outside at night but just be prepared and try to avoid big confrontations, I like to do most of my missions during the daytime and scavenge smaller areas at night personally. I always carry 3 painkillers and 3 snacks in my pockets it’s also a good idea to bring a lower level person from your base with you (if you’re playing solo) but try to avoid areas with multiple building cramped together because lots of zombies spawn there, it’s best to hit areas like individual houses or buildings.

2- Don’t sweat every neighbor call or survivor in need. When first starting out, get your base in order (building/upgrading) and stock up on resources (food/meds/materials/ammo/fuel) Once you’re good on that stuff then do as you please.
3- Plague hearts are easy. Stock up on .50cal ammo, find a Timberwolf, and bring a roll of fire crackers for each heart and you’ll be set to take them out quickly.
4- Euthanizing community members isn’t the best way to go (though I think there’s an achievement for doing it) plague cure is easy to make, so unless you really hate them, keep them around.
5- Your radio is pretty useful, so don’t neglect it.
6- Only build facilities you need. You don’t need a fighting gym, shooting range, or a lounge, so don’t waste your slots. Also, do everything in the base menu.
7- it takes a special kind of shit player to kill your community. Even with all the difficulty changes in the last 6 months, the game isn’t that hard. Just remember you’re not immortal, bring meds and manage your stamina right and you shouldn’t have to worry.
Lastly- Be careful when dealing with ferals and juggernauts, they can easily kill your dumb ass.

    7 Actually good tips
1: Travel Light, 1 modest ranged weapon (I like a 5.56 bolt action I found as well as a .22L revolver as bolt actions and revolvers can't break) with a melee weapon with a fair amount of durability.
2: Be alert, and always assume bad shit is around every corner, get into the habit of never quick searching. Yes its faster but is it really if you piss off a dozen zombies, or draw the attention of a juggernaut or something?
3: Make sure you always have a spare gas can in your vehicle, unless your like me and have a community member with the Driving perk and upgraded vehicles (The difference is night and day, played for an hour a bit earlier using the same upgraded pick-up and spent A LOT of that time driving and still have over 3/4's of a tank, compared to having to fuel up every like 20 minutes)
4: When going for Plague Hearts go full on over kill, grenades, high caliber fully automatic weapons, recruit friends or community members. (They get to a point REAL fast were they take tons of damage to destroy. Had one yesterday were I had put about a dozen and a half blasts from an 870 into it PLUS 3 soda grenades and it was still standing, ended up having to retreat as both my weapons were close to breaking, I was out of ammo, down to my last bandage and had to kill about 50 plague zombies as about 10 of them would spawn after every few shots I fired)
5: Don't ever waste a follower killing them if their infected(unless they're completely useless, coward, bad back, other shit traits), who ever this lady is is retarded. Getting plague samples is pathetically easy to the point were infection is never even a remote threat even at the very beginning, and you deserve to lose community members if you don't have an infirmary.
6: Don't focus on one type of community member (all fighters, all good shots, ect) If you can try and get 1 person who specializes in something. 1 cook, 1 gardener, 1 mechanic, 1 computer wizz, so on and so forth. That way you can access and build any type of base amenities you might require at the time.(Auto shop is a MUST, as repair kits are rare, vehicle armor kits are EXTREMELY RARE, and if purchased from a wandering trader are EXTREMELY expensive)
7: Don't fuck with special infected ferals especially, they are fast, aggressive, and take a ton of damage to kill. If you see them pick them off from a distance or try to hit them full speed with a vehicle, of which DO NOT STOP too close to them. They will rip the door off a medium armored pick-up truck in a matter of seconds and the last thing you want to have to do is piss away a repair kit over a freaking door. (which I've had to do...)
Juggernauts on the other hand I'm not sure if you've seen the trailer but they can and will in fact pick up your community members even if they aren't neccissarily at low health and just rip them in half. Stay the fuck away from these dudes unless you can pump their face full of lead before trying to finish one off.
    Hope these help ;D

MORE USEFUL TIPS THAT HELP OUT A LOT
if you throw or use a distraction, such as firecrackers or a boombox, even if your detected, zombies will ignore you and go for the distraction, even if you attack them
When you attack a plague heart, it summons hordes of plague zombies to stop you, have a lot of extra throwables and explosives to take it out fast, or have a lot of distraction devices to keep the zombies away from you while you attack it.
when a plague heart is destroyed, all plague zombies near you and that part of the map die instantly, so focus on the heart as much as you can, because you won't have to worry about zombies once it's dead

    • @HaliaxOfTheChandrian
      @HaliaxOfTheChandrian 6 ปีที่แล้ว

i only go after plague hearts with my grenade launcher and boomboxes. set up a boombox outside a bit away from the building, go in and start attacking, then set off the boombox. almost all zombies immediately leave to check on the distraction. firecracks are backups, throw them out when the boombox is almost done, and they go from there to the firecrackers. by then the heart should be dead, and all the zombies with it

    Have a vehicle
Locate plague heart location inside of building
Find window/door nearest to plague heart
Park car outside of that window/door
    Stand on top of car
Chuck explosives or incendiaries through window/door until plague heart is destroyed

Something that's worth knowing is that plague hearts are much, much easier if you use fuel bombs or molotovs rather than bullets and soda can bombs. They're weak to fire, and their only defense (at least, outside a couple of feet) is the zombies they summon. However, distractions like fireworks or boom boxes can ensure that those zombies go somewhere else. Boom boxes work very well because you can drop them first, then get set up, and then trigger them when you're ready from a distance. With no zombies to bother you, plague hearts go down to 3-4 fuel bombs, which means that you can get it done in 15-20 seconds once you're set up.

Also another thing for new players, be wise with your vehicle use. One thing that I can't stress is the importance of vehicles, and how easy it is for it to be taken for granted. I've played online a few times and too often I see newcomers using them more as battering rams while miles away from their base.

One thing I found nice is that the game trains you to filter out noice or rather to choose where to spend your time. Do you solve infighting, scavenge for resources needing like food or medicine or do you help those communities in need. The game likes to throw 10 things at you at once and you have to opt for what you deem is most valuable short and long term for your community or game. The only thing I miss is a bit of a dense sort of wildpark esque area loots of trees, less civilization and the opposite a big city with sort of a think of that Will Smith movie based on the book I Am Legend and that sort empty esque big city. I know it might not be technically feasible to create skyscrapers and high buildings with all floors enterable and such buf it made to work could be awesome. Anyway the maps are good but im missing the the inbetween desolate wildland style with less buildings and such and more dangers/less resources and one big city with dense buildings and maybe even some more humans fighting over the city and massive ammounts of zombies inbetween territories.

Tip 1: Don’t run away from ferals or juggernauts. Stay and fight, or you’re gonna get either your head ripped off, or just straight up ripped in half.
Tip 2: don’t try to run over a juggernaut, it’s the equivalent of throwing a pebble against a car... except the pebble explodes...
Tip 3: aim for the head. Aiming for the head is an obvious one, but sometimes you see the juggernauts big fat belly, and you think it’s a weak point. Well that’s where you’re wrong buckaroo, it’s not gonna do anything, so aim for the head.
Tip 3: *ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS* carry ammo with you. You’ll never know when you have to fight a special zed.
Tip 4: don’t waste your fire on juggernauts. Juggernauts are immune to fire, so don’t use fire weapons or tools. Although they are immune to fire, they aren’t immune to grenades.
Tip 5: when the juggernaut is kneeling, *GO FOR THE KILL,* make sure to press RT + X or CTRL + left click. If you miss this chance, you will have to waste another clip into his meat ball brain.
Tip 6: always look snazzy. Lookin fly is the best thing to do on your adventure, and gives yourself a bit of confidence.

Tip. Don't buy a medium size base wait until you can buy the biggest base available it doesn't take long.
Tip. Always take 2 characters with you as you can load both up with supply's from looting.
Tip. When tackling a plague heart use a 50.cal sniper it takes 3 hits to kill it, so just throw fireworks etc out the front sprint to the back and destroy the plague heart it's all over in about 10 seconds!
Tip. If your low on items join a friends game as your base won't be using supplies.

Easy tips to succeed early in SOD 2
    1. Cars are your best friend
    2. Prioritize resources (bigger populations means more food)
    3. Never euthanize your community members especially if they’re high level, it’s too easy to get a blood plague cure
    4. Try your best to stay away from ferals and juggernauts (for obvious reasons)
    5. Never destroy plague hearts alone try to always bring a community member
    6. Large bases are ideal for survival. Try to find the largest bases on the map to settle and if you can, make sure it’s centered in the map.
    7. If you find yourself getting surrounded by zeds it’s best to throw caution out and use your gun. Don’t try to take on 5+ enemies with melee weapons unless your really skilled.
    8. Running dangerously low on resources? Don’t be afraid to use your radio. 35 influence isn’t worth losing community members
    9. Last but not least before finishing your heroes last mission make sure to have the most valuable loot on him/her before doing it. Once you move on to another map your bases inventory won’t go with you. You only keep what is on the characters you select from your previous community.

Best zombie fighting strategy. Dodge behind zombie, grab, execute, dodge behind the rest, and repeat. Even better if your character can just grab from the front and has the ability to execute zombie without throwing them to the ground first (I'm not sure what let's you do it but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the Close Combat specialization for fighting). I rarely use my actual Melee weapon.

The biggest tip, dont start doing missions until you get all of your stats to at least the teens..like food, meds, building materials... then unlock out post that benefit the community. Then do mission, destroy plague hearts etc. The game fairly easy at that point.
