We love your Foodie tours (because we're Foodies two) we've been looking forward to this Japan tour, and so far so great! It's so cool how the Japanese present their food. So glad to see you two on your own again, though having a guide must be helpful. Looked like fun :)
What perfect timing - I’m going to Japan for the second time in May and I’m hoping to do a couple of Magical Trip tours in Tokyo, Osaka, and Hiroshima! So excited for the videos to come.
I’m looking forward to the rest of these videos for Japan! & the lady who was your tour guide looked like a sweetheart 💗 those pancake/waffle fish looked delicious!! I’m looking forward to more videos from you guys!!
Been waiting for you to get to Japan. Love the food, Love the people, so warm and friendly (even if they do get their lines wrong. LOL) Well done guys, you're the best!!
Awesome, have so much fun! Taiwan will definitely be at the top of our list next time we're through Southeast Asia...we hear the food and views are amazing 😍
New subscriber and so happy you guys are uploading your videos with 4K resolution! Picture quality looks great on my television. Please continue with 4K and great videos :)
In the US they have a taiyaki place called Somi Somi (The one I went to was in Irvine, CA)... They have the custard ones, but the one I got was with ice cream! They had traditional Japanese flavors like matcha, green tea, black sesame, ube..With toppings it was amazing!
Wow!! I just noticed your subscribers are close to 202,000. When did that happen! Shows how much I’ve been paying attention😂. Congrats! Great video by the way.....Japan, yes!!
With 'Oden', the Daikon or Radish is ALWAYS the Best choice (assuming the broth is flavorful / tasty). Mainly because it tends to soak up all of the juice from the broth. And on a Cold Day - Just the ticket to warm you up from the inside out.
Alison & Eric have visited the UK on a few occasions and are pretty good connoisseurs on the British fish 'n' chip scene. As a fellow Brit, I would say that pickled eggs are pretty revolting. Sorry.
Much yummy food. You guys really love your liquor don't you?😂😂😂 I can't have it since I'm allergic to alcohol...no...not like everyone else...I get red all over if I take one sip of an alcoholic beverage... But hey...to each his own.
Why don’t you watch Samuel and Audrey...they just got back from Japan not long ago. They ate their way through too! I keep trying to get you couples together because you are my favorite foodies❤️ I think it would be awesome!
Late fall would be a good time if you want to miss the crowds and the humidity. Early spring if you want to see the cherry blossoms and don't mind rubbing elbows with all of Japan & tourists. As far as the itinerary, it depends on what you're into and how much time you have!
I'am glad you guys are not on a low salt diet as you constantly say that it's salty, I have been thrown out of places for complaining the food is too salty. My GP has told me to consume no more than 2 gm of salt per day, which means everything has to be cooked with no added salt as practically all food has a sodium content. It was hard at first but now I really notice added salt.
Eric, please consider centering both yourself AND your wife in the frame more often, and cutting her off when she speaks less often. I'm talking about when you are side-by-side. You're usually centre-frame and Allison is off to the side until she starts talking. Then once you cut her off, you center the camera on yourslf again. Once you notice it, you can't unsee it. It's been bugging me for months. Other than that, I am really enjoying you guys and your endless adventures.
They don't have their own beds or home anymore. They stopped renting their apt in San Francisco and sold or gave away most of their belongings a few years ago when they started traveling full-time. They are full-time travelers / "Digital Nomads". When they Are having off-time in the US in-between trips, they appear to spend it visiting friends in Texas, her family in St. Louis, or Eric's family.
We found it pretty easy to get around Tokyo without knowing Japanese. If you stick to the touristy areas, most restaurants will have menus in English or photos of the food, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find vegetarian options.
Always thought Japanese food was really healthy, really surprised on the fried because my friend grew up in Japan & her entire family vegetarian eating traditional vegetarian foods and a lot of raw
When I travel my first preference is the scenery and the sights , food second. Just a suggestion but your channel is looking like the two of you eating the majority of the video.
culture cypher It is common for Japanese to wear germ masks even when they travel to the U.S. and other countries. It's just that they are very careful about illness.
Do you mean y’all? If so, it’s a combination of ‘you’ and ‘all’. It is a very common term used in the US, mainly in the south. Don’t know anything about that other word (autocorrect won’t let me enter it without changing it to something else.
Well.............................................this IS a "street food" video..............that's basically what street food Is... there IS plenty of food in Japan that's healthier, more wholesome, more rounded meals, ect.....but that's not what this video is about
I could not live there everything is too salty weird food hard boiled eggs in broth, yuk, don't know how you keep that food down. and try not to insult them while trying it. gross
Their food is so interesting! I could easily spend an afternoon just going to the different places to try it all. Thanks for bringing us along!
Amen to that, we'd love to dive into the Japanese street food scene 👌👌
So fun watching all the old videos!!!!

I love watching them eat! All the things they don't like about their food are my favorite things! 😂
great food tour!
Thanks for taking us around with you today, very interesting.
Japan looks, wonderful, I would love to visit it one day and experience all the street food. I love all the attractions as well, so cool.
We hope you get to visit soon! It's such an amazing and delicious country 🙌

Loved it, we're headed to Japan next week and this makes us even more excited. You guys should come to visit Taiwan sometime. Happy Travels.
Awesome, have so much fun! Taiwan will definitely be at the top of our list next time we're through Southeast Asia...we hear the food and views are amazing 😍
Yay! Looks like a good time!
Japanese fried chicken street food is the best. We had some in Asakusa, near the Senso-Ji Temple. SO GOOD!! 👌
New subscriber and so happy you guys are uploading your videos with 4K resolution! Picture quality looks great on my television. Please continue with 4K and great videos :)
Awesome to hear and welcome to the adventure! As long as wifi's good enough, we'll keep up the 4k. Glad it's been making a difference 👍
Japan in 7-11 is the best to go snacks. Try ippudo ramen in ginza.
Great video! Everything looked delicious!! 😋😋
The tayaki looks so good!
Love Japanese street food! You guys should head to Dotonbori in Osaka, the street food there is immense! 😍
In the US they have a taiyaki place called Somi Somi (The one I went to was in Irvine, CA)... They have the custard ones, but the one I got was with ice cream! They had traditional Japanese flavors like matcha, green tea, black sesame, ube..With toppings it was amazing!
Whoa, ice cream taiyaki sounds amazing! We'll have to look that place up next time we're in the states 🐟
Thanks for video, when we go to Japan we will definitely book with Magical Tours thanks.
Awesome, we hope you have a great time in Japan and enjoy the tour! It's such a fantastic country!

Loving the new intro guys! Also all that food - YUM!
Most of the food you guys eat iv never heard of. Such an educational food network :)
I know, right!? They are amazing and the food in this video looks so so so good! :)
U had the Tayaki with TJ of Cup of Tj aswell when u visited Tokyo last year.
Hi! I enjoyed watching your stay in Japan. Actually not T”a”goshi, but T”o”goshi Ginza .

Hi guys, hope you have a lovely time in Japan!
5:35 lol what would u expect from a boiled egg? 😁
Again to Japan?
Welcome back.
If you havnt tried them try pickled egg with fish and chips next time you in the UK.No idea if any other countries have them
Alison & Eric have visited the UK on a few occasions and are pretty good connoisseurs on the British fish 'n' chip scene. As a fellow Brit, I would say that pickled eggs are pretty revolting. Sorry.
No need to be sorry pauly we all have different tastes. But I love pickles andxI love eggs so heaven for me.
What time of the year was this ,please
Great video! How long are you guys in Tokyo/ Japan?

I love japanese whisky (minus the soda)
Why don’t you watch Samuel and Audrey...they just got back from Japan not long ago. They ate their way through too! I keep trying to get you couples together because you are my favorite foodies❤️ I think it would be awesome!
Good Morning!!! Perfect timing, I am pondering booking a trip to Japan soon!
I want to go to Japan what is a good time of the year to go? And whats a good itinarary??

Our Green Branch hi thanks! I have two weeks anytime and would love to know what the best place in Tokyo to Airbnb and where to visit
Alison, you say how good the food taste but your facial expression say otherwise. Not sure what to believe.
Haha! Usually when I really like something, I make a funny face. I always say what I really think though, so you can believe my words 😂😂
Enjoy the food vlogs and your other ones. But who was the guy with the shades that kept tagging along with you?
They said they were doing a small group local food tour, so I would imagine one of the people who was also doing the tour
I'am glad you guys are not on a low salt diet as you constantly say that it's salty, I have been thrown out of places for complaining the food is too salty. Ohhhh yakitori!!! Yum yum yum!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 Flying the Nest happens to be in Japan as well, any chances that you four shall do a collab? 🤓
Sadly our schedules didn't quite line up this time. 😔 But we're hoping to meet up with them very soon...you'll have to stay tuned 😉

You should connect with tabi eats in Japan!
Panko is known worldwide (not like it's special in japan)
Seems you guys enjoying Japanese foods. How was it. Did you try spicy foods too.
and when you have to say it would be good with coffee it usually means that its dry
They should widen that road.
Anyone else see the phone love @2:26? :)
absolutely yummy😋😋😋✌️
How do you guys split up the work? One of u do the editing and the other researching?
Yep, exactly! Eric edits and I plan 👍
Don’t you guys miss your home ? Your bed? You were away for weeks in Nz and now in Japan
Now my question: How hard or easy is it to find vegetarian options and how does one get around when they don't speak Japanese?
vegetarianism is pretty big in japan, but I guess not so much in the touristy places.
This was like more of a Japanese fast food tour. Like casual quick treats when you’re out and need to eat something but don’t need a full meal.
wow new opening?
Togoshi Ginza
not Tagoshi
Ten Q 4 the food tour 🎥👀❤️❗️. Loni:👩🏼🦰&Al:👱🏻♂️

Oh the grease.... but u literally stayed in one area the whole day. Which is good..
When I travel my first preference is the scenery and the sights , food second. Just a suggestion but your channel is looking like the two of you eating the majority of the video.
barry levitt well their channel is mainly a food channel
@@erincarroll9412 Thanks for the information.
Collab with Ericsurf6 would be epic
I will pass on the tendons and egg.
why are people walking around with dust masks?
culture cypher It is common for Japanese to wear germ masks even when they travel to the U.S. and other countries. It's just that they are very careful about illness.
Maybe they caught a cold and dont want to spread it
Good question.
They obviously don't know how ineffective those masks are.
It is basically to combat air pollution, at the end of a day those masks are black, at least it's not in their lungs.
@@tonys1636 that explains why people live longer in japan then
There’s just one thing what Anoy me is when You say Yorl
Yorl? When do they ever say that?
LOL what?
She’s says it with in 30 seconds of the vlog
Do you mean y’all? If so, it’s a combination of ‘you’ and ‘all’. It is a very common term used in the US, mainly in the south. Don’t know anything about that other word (autocorrect won’t let me enter it without changing it to something else.
So far, not impressed with the food at all.
Sorry guys, but I imagined Japanese food to be more, well, less like junk food.
Well.............................................this IS a "street food" video..............that's basically what street food Is... there IS plenty of food in Japan that's healthier, more wholesome, more rounded meals, ect.....but that's not what this video is about
It was a street food video. I'm pretty sure that they will do a more traditional food video as well lol
There's a reason why the Japanese are known for being the healthiest in the world. What you just saw was a street food video....
the foods dont look very good.
Guys...next time take care of your nails, please!
This is not Chinese food.
They're in Japan...
What on Earth gave you the idea they were eating Chinese food??? You Must be a troll
@@keandric2765 How is stating an opinion trolling??
Sancho G How is that an opinion?
