Obviously, as he said in the video, you can't know everyone's triggers, and even if you know them, sometimes you make mistakes, just like everyone else, or sometimes you think it's important to talk about a certain subject and it turns out that in order to do so you have to say things that might trigger certain people. But I think it would be egotistical to think that people just magically feel things. It's what we say to them or what we do to them that makes them feel the way they do. I'm not saying you should censor yourself or stop being honest with people, but I think it's also altruistic to pay attention to people's feelings to a certain extent.
I totally agree with him, in a way i do think compassion and kindness is important and everyone should practice mindfulness but sometimes people need to hear the truth, they might not like it right now but it might motivate change and influence someone to do better. They will thank you later, being straightforward is an art, and not everyone can do it right...but it takes courage to stand up to the people that you love, because you don't want them to be trapped forever in a vortex of self loathing and insecurity.

If surviving human trafficking and trying to enter the world again in my early twenties with ZERO understanding of society taught me anything, it is that we do need to take care of each other. Saying we aren't responsible for one another, as a very social species living in a society, is just a really selfish and privileged take. I know many wonderful people who have died because someone could have helped and didn't. I know of a lot of people who never got the chance to be a person, and chose s**cide because people were so cruel with them learning the world for the first time. Triggers probably are the worst symptom of PTSD (which I was diagnosed with), and I hate so much how people have reduced this symptom that destroys lives and kills people into being angry, upset, or grossed out. That's just not what triggers are at all. In Canada, where I live, we have the rights and responsibilities act, which states being a good samaritan and taking care of your fellow man is your responsibility as a citizen. We are a social and fragile species. With teamwork and taking care of each other we can move mountains. That's the only reason our species made it this far at all. Not meant to guilt of rant or anything, I just like being able to use my voice when I couldn't always and human beings really need more love. We are all miserable and we know from study after study that our lack of community and companionship is a reason for that. We have studies showing that antisocial traits are appearing more and more through generations. If you simply can't help another because your cup is empty, that makes sense. You need to take care of you to take care of others. In general, all our lives would be drastically improved and so many lives would be saved if we wanted to be there for one another. That's all. Thanks for the statement on triggers I feel there has been a big move in the last ten years with people putting the weight of their own mental health on other ppl. Your mental health is your own responsibility and it’s unfortunately up to you to recover, it is not something to use to police others behaviours, it is not an excuse for behaviour but only an explanation. Also on that, the audacity of internet activists to call out people with little nuance essentially policing people and alienation instead of like actual healing restorative justice.

In order to do things as simple as hold a job to continue to exist, autistic people have to constantly police themselves. Being selfish gets us nowhere, and teamwork time and time again saves the day.
@SlighlyMacs I do totally agree that you have to take action on your own mental health, other people sadly can only help to a certain extent although they sometimes can help, like PTs/therapists/psychologists. Maybe not to recover (most mental illnesses imo are not curable at the moment, we just treat symptoms so no matter how strong you are it’s hard to be 100% better) Having said that someone in my family has severe CPTSD and I appreciate trigger warnings for them, it isn’t over sensitive in their case, it stops them (for example) seeing realistic or real dead bodies ect. on TV with no warning that could cause a flashback, and lets them choose what to watch that day. Sometimes you can’t take any more. And it’s so small it barely impacts others. I can’t imagine anything in a Sims video really requiring that though and I never thought Satch should have them, lol. But I think it’s not black or white and I see a lot of activists going very hard on physical disability but not believing in mental illness/seeing it as a lifestyle choice which is a shame, I think it will change eventually as we learn more about the brain but we’re a long way off (Sorry if I misunderstood you)

a long term goal doesnt happen over night, and its something you put your best foot forward to get done. like buying a home. the young think its funny to live in expensive flats, and places they cant afford, and cant figure out why they cant buy a home. many of us lived where we had to make do until we could do better. hubby and lived in a 1 bdrm apartment, so tiny. then we got the down payment for a home, we moved into a double wide mobile home. laugh if you must, we own the damn thing, paying $300/mo mortgage. in 2 years we will be debt free, because we watched every penny we spent. in 7 years, will be retirement for us, and we will keep our inexpensive little home. we did without when we were younger, so we can live free in less than 10 years from now. that is a long term goal.

I live chronically online, I hate real world, I use sims as escape mechanism, I barely touch grass and I still don't behave like the toxic community of sims. Though I do have real life related goals and I do have hobbies outside sims... anyway I love your content satch. You make me laugh so much and see the garbage side of the game. Even if I don't agree with everything you're still my fav life simulation channel.

Given that you’ve unintentionally triggered ASMR for me in your videos, I could see you doing quite well as an ASMRtist. You could always try combining it with sims game play. For example, SRP does an ASMR channel where he plays Mariokart and older console games.
Tip, Satch, if you DO want to practice VooDoo in the south. Do not go to some random white woman (no offense to white women 😂) who says she can do Voodoo. Go to a professional in the south who is an active practicer of the arts. Voodoo is incredibly spiritual and finicky from what I’ve heard people who are around it say. Me and my family are Buddhist (we do not actively practice though as it doesn’t work with our lifestyles; EXCEPT for my great-aunt she is a practicing Buddhist). And I really do think it helps center people’s lives. Especially if you overthink living too much. I like it because it makes me view my life as a third party whenever it hits rock bottom (which happens often LOL) because it’s so spiritual. It also prevented me from suicide when I was young because I didn’t want to come back to Earth again. 😂

When I first found your channel, I came for the Sims, I stayed for your laughter! Lolz your laugh is one of my favorite things 🤣 best laugh ever!
a long term goal doesnt happen over night, and its something you put your best foot forward to get done. like buying a home. the young think its funny to live in expensive flats, and places they cant afford, and cant figure out why they cant buy a home. many of us lived where we had to make do until we could do better. hubby and lived in a 1 bdrm apartment, so tiny. then we got the down payment for a home, we moved into a double wide mobile home. laugh if you must, we own the damn thing, paying $300/mo mortgage. in 2 years we will be debt free, because we watched every penny we spent. in 7 years, will be retirement for us, and we will keep our inexpensive little home. we did without when we were younger, so we can live free in less than 10 years from now. that is a long term goal.
