Well you said it yourself. Harold is using him first as just a friend. Then as a lover as he's in between real relationships. Bean is sad about this and that's why his romance is going down because he knows that Harold is just using him and that he doesn't really like him. So this actually makes perfect sense to me. This scenario happens more often than not.

Amazing compatibility comes from growing together system. For the full unattracted run they all need to be opposite I think
I feel like that's too convoluted to even make sense for the sims 4, their relationship system barely makes sense and is way too easy to just spam through no matter what any of it says. just feels like words on a paper and nothing behind it
@@deathpreg The game have conflicting atractions systems. I bet the turn ons and offs just exist just to show that text "I am atracted to your sim" but dont affect at all the relationship/romance bar.
@@augusto7681 compatability does make it slower/faster to gain relationship, its super noticeable if you have a tiny home. I dont have lovestruck so not sure about turn off/turn ons, maybe growing together only affects friendship while turn ons affect romance? It could be that turn ons/off only affect the success rate of romance rather than the actual gain. Either way i still think its nice as a way to choose someone for your sim.

The attraction system is deeper than it seems. Attraction builds up as you get to know the other person's traits, financial situation, and skills. So, it is not an immediate thing. I like it.
I do think the social compatibility is broken, though.. If you give someone multiple likes and few dislikes, in my experience, it will make them have compatibility woth everyone even if it does not make sense. To tackle that, I give only 1 or two likes in the sim characteristics tab and one or 2 dislikes but not more than that.
So, I like the attraction system but have my thoughts about the compatibility system.
Sims can never become more or less attracted to someone based on time spent together or even building your romance bar. It only changes as they find out more about each other so at first it's based on physical appearance and clothes but then they can reveal their traits either directly or by performing a social interaction associated with that trait or by joining households where they discover everything about each other and then the attraction level will never change unless you change your sim. It didn't work here because Michael had so many turn offs for Harold that even changing 2 traits and dyeing his hair didn't help.
Also likes and dislikes only affect Sims ability to build friendship and perform non romantic interactions and randomized sims can like active sims and be turned off by them at the same time. The only way compatibility helps romance is that higher friendship bars means you are slightly more likely to succeed in romance. None of it makes sense.
All that being said, none of it really matters because if you just do what we've always before this pack released and makes sims flirt when they're both in a good mood and you start slow, you can get a full romance bar with anyone in a few in game hours.

Let me try to explain this, dude. Someone can not be your type appearance wise but their personality and bedroom skills are great, or vice versa. They can look really attractive to you but have a shit personality and have no bedroom skills. And I think that's what they mean by attraction Vs romantic satisfaction; and why they can conflict with each other. That being said I do agree that all the different relationship types and states and all that is very unorganized and a bit much.

Actually, "confessing your love publicly" is a CONFIDENT interaction, so that's probably why Harold liked it and the romance bar went up.
6:04 This is the problem with TS4; all these systems are disconnected. Why not just build the attraction system on top of the compatibility and sentiments systems? Heck, they could have even built GrT compatibility on top of sentiments. If two Sims keep getting positive sentiments towards each other, they build attraction. If the attraction is high, they build compatibility, etc.
My theory is that The Sims 4 team never had a full plan of all the Exp Pack, Game Packs, Stuff Pack, Kits that they planned to release during the course of the Sims 4.
Nothing is cohesive and can be built on top of each other because the foundation was poor to start and everything they built on top was a mindless cash grab with no forethought.
But that’s just a theory. A game theory. 😅❤
Theyre too lazy to work out cross pack compatibility, because then you’ll also have to consider what if player bought pack B, but not Pack A? If Pack B was built on Pack A, how will player enjoy Pack B features?

The satisfaction levels relate to the traits and the reason your dude is unsatisfied is because the traits of the hot guy are ones he doesn´t like (u didnt change his through gameplay)....
I dont have this pack yet, but I think the satisfaction come from the actions, if your sims doesnt like physical intimacy and flirting they will get less satisfied if they perfom this action. I think Satch made Minging dislike all the interactions.
I'm confused about how Minging Michael got his Romantic Satisfaction up to Fine when it was at rock bottom at one point if that was the case.
I'm thinking that Michael had one or two types of love languages while Whorse Harold had the others and Satch kept doing Romantic Interactions that Michael didn't like and that Harold did like without realizing it having apparently forgotten which love languages he gave the two sims.
Either way it sounds like one sim would've lost Romantic Satisfaction though, since Satch told us that the two sims have completely opposite interests aside from the Traits that were changed with Growing Together's Trait swapping mechanic.
Boy… he is un attracted to you but satisfied because he found an easy booty call and your sim is unsatisfied b/c he wants to be MORE than a booty call…

It's definitely weird that even when they're very unattracted to another sim they're totally happy to have a romantic relationship with them. The system could use some tweaks IMO

i dont use the romantic satisfaction. it depends upon sims preferences and i cant seem to find out what the other sim preference or love language is. so relationship and attraction may be 100 but you have to do what their “love language” is. it feels tedious because all i do is wicked whims them 😂😂😂

I would laugh if Satch made (the default) Minging Michael fall for Crusty Crustaceans since they seem to be similar sims, or maybe they're just related since they look a tad similar? lol If they did Get Together and Michael convinced Crusty to leave Shantelle Chantelle, I think it could be quite a story arc to then headcanon that Shantelle hates Minging Michael from then on. lol Honestly I think that it would fit if Minging Michael were Crusty Crustaceans' cousin and neither of them really cared if they were romantic together. lol 🤣

Yes, because being hired several promotions ahead of the starting position in a job is a terrible thing and shouldn't exist.
Getting a free 2,500 simoleons (or a lot more if you get married within a week of choosing one of the options given to you in this particular message) is also totally useless.
If you want those text messages that random sims (and sometimes sims you know, as you've experienced, Satch) send to let you read them, make sure that you click the green answering button instead of trying to read them immediately.
I know it's quite bad for Maxis to have made text messages disappear forever if you don't answer them and I hope that one day that's changed so that you can at least save them for later and respond to them if you like. It's like everyone in TS4 is subjected to texting with some kind of disappearing messages function turned on with no option to turn it off.

The only thing I would have changed is to actually make those surgeries one at a time to make it sound more realistic....all of those surgeries tend to cost a lot and you might have to do more than one surgery just to slowly change one specific area. So 10k this part, 5k here, 25k here, etc.
