Truck is in fantastic shape given mileage and is ready to tow across country - however it does currently have a small oil pan leak. Totally OK to drive, but might leave a small 2" stain if parked a nice paver driveway (ask how I know). I purchased the parts to repair ($2000) - and am offering the truck with the parts for the new owner to repair.

Hey Adam. I have a bachelors im finance and also work in the finance world. In business you always want to have liquid assets for rainy days. The 80-20 rule is always a great starting point. But you can even do 85-15. That 20 or 15 percent will always ensure that you can have funds for emergency needs and/or just paying for living costs.

I've also heard you should never have more than 50% of your annual income in vehicles. Have you heard this before? Feels like that should exclude investments, and people who monetize off vehicles.

Cash to asset ratio depends on the person and biz. normally you would like to have a 20/80 split for cash to asset (Cash held in a High yield savings account to earn solid interest). Then within asset you can have a 10-20% quick liquidation process assets like stocks or mutual funds where you can sell and transfer to account within 1 week of needing it. Hope it helps.

I feel like I could’ve been a little more clear when I said get a credit card and don’t buy stuff you can’t afford.
What I mean is literally buy cheap stuff, pay it off early, never pay interest, and build credit so it’s there when you need it

I wish we would revert the 335i back to a reasonable build so you can enjoy it. Such an OG car with the Cream13, but I think that one is at a happy point.
I was thinking he could put all the modern n54 stuff and it would be fine. I haven’t watched all the videos on it but I can’t figure out why they have so much trouble with that car. So many people have singe turbo n54 builds that work perfect once dialed in.
These cars are so weird. He could just throw in another N54 block and DME and it could run best it ever did. I think these cars are pure luck, or none at all with the N54. I have a soon to be single turbo and hoping it's solid!

You do you of course, but don't get rid of the Bjork Corvette. That thing is special, such a cool build with Drift HQ and Bjork. I'm not you but for me this would be a forever car. The "donor' car was such a good quality and low mileage car. You wont be able to scratch that itch again without building a new one which will be more expensive in the future (I now realise tho that that's the case with any other of these builds as well.. Sheeeeet)

I can’t argue with any of the choices you picked to sell except the corvette I’d contemplate keeping that just because it’s your only collector car and superrrrr unique. Loving the new truck. Didn't have a credit card until I was 29. I was in the mindset of, if I didn't have the money I didn't buy things, simple as that. But got into a a troublesome situation financially, and it was my best option at the time, even though I didn't like it. It boosted my credit loads! Just have to keep it in check.
1 Never state your bottom dollar.
2 Always start the price a little higher than what the car is worth. That way after the potential buyer talks you down a little, you are at or near the price you wanted for the car to begin with.

I've had a credit card since HS and have paid it off every month for years and have 800+ across the board in my credit score. It also includes two paid off car loans. I can buy whatever I want whenever I want at insanely low interest rates. So yes, get a credit card young, don't be a diva and pay it off every month.

I just keep my head down and get in my paid off car, and head to my house I own lol
Same here I'm 41 with 825+ credit score. I've made so much money in rewards using credit cards for everything since 18 and paying them off every month. I've never paid 1 cent in interest and still have my first card making over 23 year credit history at 41.

I'm 40. I've only had one credit card with a 300$ limit out of highschool that I got rid of months later. Just like Adam, I HATE DEBT! It really bothers me. But I've done good without one. Got plenty in savings etc. and got a cool house on 4 acres but if had Adams lifestyle I would definitely have some type of credit. Speak to your trusted account and find what's best for you Adam.

Adam I'm here for the FC and R33 and Supra builds Not for the skid steer purchase 😂. And I love all the vids but the trail build vids are not toping the top notch beautiful builds like the 34 or the 32 or the 4rotor. Also simple builds don't really get people excited because they are pretty much every where but when you do super in depth unique builds like the 4rotor for example that garners a lot of attention because you are the only one doing it. Whatever you decide tho I hope it works out great.

I actually prefer the simple builds as they are more relatable to the general population. Personally I don’t care for the 4 rotor content, but that’s just my preference

Turn 25 this year and I still don't have a credit card. My work history has been pretty erratic and inconsistent due to certain family matters. On my own for the first time this year, so it's time I get started on credit.

Tommy seems to be in touch with reality- cars are depreciating assets, modified cars even worse. There is something to be said about the quality of cars Adam has and modifies, but a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay. TJ benefits from the market in Cali being stronger with dumb money and more car people due to higher population. All that to say good luck with your sale(s)! To get what you “have into it” for every car you are willing to part ways with is very ambitious.
Honestly with the jdm market that idea goes out the window. The s13 is a perfect example. Sticker price was about 15k but low mileage stock s13’s are going for 15-20k and modified s13’s are going for 20k+. Normally yes you are right but many jdm cars are going classic status and they’re in VERY high demand so the prices have been going up. Imo you should never buy a car at the top of the market and you should only buy one you absolutely love, especially if you intend to modify it. always assume you are keeping it and don’t buy to sell. Buy to keep and if you get a good offer then sell. But it’s got to be a REALLY good price. Reason being if you’re underwater on the car from modifying or just working on it it’s not the end of the world if you loose money on it. This goes for houses as well and any “asset” you actually use on a regular. Never consider things you actually use and need as an asset. If it’s an asset it should be cash flowing to you and it shouldn’t be used regularly otherwise it’s not an asset. This is just basics as far as assets go but on paper all owned items are assets depreciating or appreciating. In reality that’s not always how it works lol
I'm 19 and just ordered my first credit card. credit cards have such a negative view by most of the public (or those who have been f'ed over by credit cards in the past) but if you're smart with your money and only spend what you can afford at that exact given time, you'll be just fine with a credit card. and mainly pay off the bill as fast as possible and even set up auto pay if you need to. If you're at least a little smart with your money, a credit card will only help you!

That c4 for 50k is not a bad price at all for what it is. If I could ball out on it I for sure would have that, Larger Diameter wheels (those with a step lip maybe?) with a hair taller tire so it could also be raised a touch would probably look amazing and be so much more functional. Let the rest go.

2nd comment…. I don’t have a credit card. Used to 3 years ago. Paid them off, got rid of them, and pay cash for everything. Even bought our new home in 2021 with cash. We diversified our money in ETF, growth stock mutual funds, 401k, and a couple Roth IRA’s. Plus 6 rental properties. Compound interest is how you get the bags boy!
Maybe some wheels in the same style but bigger and polished up and bigger tires. LEVEL kit, or if possible reverse level to make it lower in the rear.

Adam since you have a shop you can put a mechanics lien on thekouki S13 and get the tittle that way. It's a process that will take a couple of months but it's doable
I’m 29 with a business degree still don’t have a credit card. But the 30% liquidity to 70% asset base keeps you in the range where if anything serious happens you have enough liquid funds on hand to deal with it well in the meantime, freeing up investment money to cover that on the backend. If you want to have good credit unfortunately have to carry debt, but there’s two types of debt, good debt and bad debt, make sure you’re caring more good debt and never overextend your liquidity to asset ratio. If you can’t cover at least a quarter of the value of your assets with liquidity you’re getting to the point of being overextended, even if the money is there to support it, it can stretch you pretty thin and have your money and too many places at once That’s what we were taught in business school I was always taught to 70 30 rule or the 80-10-10 rule.

I am 29 got my first one this year and TOTALY understand! Just went to my local bank and the lady knew me from when I was a toddler for a personal loan for a trans rebuild on my Tundra and couldn't get it. feel you man feel so stupid and confused about it all.

I know how you feel! Just start with acouple and you will be surprised how quickly you chance your mind to let the rest go! I just recently liquidated and sold up all my cars as my wife and I sat down and had that talk! Let me tell you the stress it caused was unmanageable... I had the best night sleep in years once the garage was cleaned out. Onto bigger and better things!

I have multiple credit cards and use them based on rewards. I have a spreadsheet with it laid out to get the most out of them. Every month pay them in full. Credit is 852.

I've always seen the C4 as a marketing tool for Drift HQ and LZMFG at shows and events to get the crowds over to sell stuff and to showcase what they can do and for that reason I would keep it and sell something else.
I can't get rid of clothes I haven't worn since the mid 2000's. I can't imagine what it's like with these amazing cars.

If you buy a skid steer get a kubota SVL 95. It’s the one with tracks it’s awesome you can literally go anywhere and not get stuck and it will push and lift way more than a wheeled skid steer.
The only credit card I've ever had was Care Credit for when my dog had a $7k surgery. Im glad that 18-21 year old me didnt have one but I also wish I would have gotten one and used it for essentials and paid it off every month because that is the easiest way to build credit.
