For me the last few cars I took pics of while on mail route before paternity leave include Dodge M37 Late 80s Cadillac Sedan de Ville Jeep J10 at a Chili's And a McLaren ASC FOX body Mustang
Well as I live in Finland I do spot some rad European cars quite often but what I see daily is my neighbor's Saab 90 (a Saab 99 with a 900 front end) which was only manufactured and sold in Finland. Beside that I usually see a Citroën BX4TC and a Plymouth Superbird on my way to work
Ethan rolls right past that Supra talking about "Awww, check it out, C4 Corvette". Total pivot to a patchy Vette sitting in the shade. Man, you're the greatest & love the bike rides.
What’s great about doing this in California is the rust hasn’t killed all the older economy cars. If you were in the rust belt, you’d only see 2010+ cars.
Great to hear your Twin Cam is having some work done. Hope we will see it again soon. I just love these videos - there is so much to see in your area! Yes, there should definitely be more cool colours available now, not just grey!
You missed the white T100 as you looking at the 97' Marquis. Also while were reviewing that Galant, there was seem to be a Datsun 510 or a Classic Corolla in the background.
As an elder millennial, this was a fun trip down memory lane. Half of these I remember as just the older folks around holding on to their vehicles, and the other half were new or gentle used. Egads, when did I get this old???
I can relate. I remember when some of these cars were 'new' or 'certified pre-owned' vehicles. Now they are 'old' cars and just 500 yards away from being considered 'retro cool'.
Ethan, I am relieved the hear the Nova and Scion are getting some care. 🤩The last generation of Grand Marquis was made in St Thomas, Ontario. The plant closed when the Panther Platform was discontinued. 😐
Great video. I really like csr spotting. My favorite car todsy is the late 70's lesabre. I always loved those big square rear wheel drive v8 underpowered malaise era landyatchs
So many cool cars spotted in the video. The 5th Gen Accord is probably my favorite Accord of all time (the first one appears to be '96-'97, the second one appears to be '94-'95; based on the trunk). I've never owned one though, ironically. The Previa is another favorite of mine. We didn't have an All-Trac, but it was a '95 LE with a Supercharger and dual sunroof. What I missed most is the second row captain chairs that rotated 180 degrees 😁 The Z32 is another cool one. I also agree; California needs to bring back those sunset 80s plates. I would love to have one! Not gonna lie, seeing those type of RVs brings mix feelings (cool retro design, but also realizing it's probably someone's home out of necessity because of the housing crisis in California). Long story short, lots of cool vehicles spotted. Thank you so much for sharing and hopefully it wasn't too hot on this day. Stay cool and stay hydrated!
In 1995, My dad took me to a parking lot in his 2 door jeep Cherokee to learn the basics of manual driving. I was only 13 and the clutch was quite heavy for my skinny little legs.
Amazing finds, esp the 2 door Cherokee, Camry Coupe and the Mercedes coupe. Also 100% agree with Ethan on bringing back that old school California Sunset plate.
That pink car in the cover shot looks a lot like the Mitsubishi Magna we had in Australia of its era. Funny I went to a country town in my state of Queensland to visit family and saw a white one with elderly owners on the weekend!
Can sorta tell later 80s 1987 car variants by third brake light. But there were many aftermarket so its a bit of a wash sometimes. Toyota started using their round logo in the 90s. 89 was the last model year without.
The first Grand Marquis is a 03 or 04 based on the rims and taillight. Also a LS model with those rims and keypad on the door. So you are correct! And they also were built in Canada. The 2nd Grand Marquis is more than likely a 01 or 02 model and those rims you like are the HPP rims that eventually ended up on the Grand Marquis LSE and Crown Victoria LX Sport.
That Accord seems to be a 1996-1997 Accord, since it doesn't have the pumpkin tail lights. For me, that was my fav generation Accord. That 6th gen Galant was one of my first cars, I wish I would have kept that car but I was having constant transmission problems.
The Blazer at 18:10 is a '73 or '74 with the earliest-style grille, cut door frames and the entire roof was removable. Grille changed (to the style seen on the C10 at 14:00) for '75 and the top changed to the permanent half-cab with complete pickup-type rear doors for '76.
Cool car sightings 👍 Indeed long time since I last saw both gen Galants. Today saw on the road for example Saab 9000 CD, and early 70's Toyota Corona Mark II, I think. Early 70's Japanese cars aren't my strongest thing, but looking at wikipedia pics, most likely it was that car.
You don't get much views but I like this kind of content. There's something charming about featuring older cars, maybe it's the stories they could tell if they could talk? Or maybe something that feels honest and upfront about them. It's just "car" without any frills or flexing purposes.
That Honda Passport (Isuzu Rodeo) is a last generation for the US. Those are actual factory headlights. Amazingly, they went back to GLASS for the last refresh! Have a 1999 in the family (prior gen.99-02) and have the lame plastic lenses. Thought of a conversion if they fit & i had they energy. Likely to need the grill too.😢
10:40 I can chime in on the C4 Corvette! That is a 1984-85 Corvette because in 1986 the third brake light became mandatory and would be on the roof above the rear hatch. In this case it looks like a previous owner fitted a later model rear bumper with the squared-off taillights (90s design) and an integrated third brake light above the Corvette emblem (a feature on convertible models).
I always love these videos. You don't really see cars like that in my part of Texas. Maybe one here and there but you would never see that many in one area. Every time I go to Colorado I'll see a bunch of old cars in one area like you do. Must be something about the dry climate.
Right before you saw the Egg ( Previa) I KNEW you would spot one. I think I said something in the last video about how they are over LA. It's crazy you never see them here hardly anymore.
The Suburban's a '75-80. The '73-4 had different emblems. If someone were to cut the roof off all they'd have to do was paint "HOLLYWOOD STAR TOURS" on the sides and they'd fit right in.
Hey there Hello Road, I had a 6th gen 1994 Toyota Celica GT last year. If you want to see pictures of it, let me know. Currently I drive a 2014 Kia Soul, but it's a manual transmission. 👍
The white Chevy truck was a 68 not a 67. The 68 had side marker lights, the 67 did not and 69 had the square hood that would remain till the end of the body. Grew up with a 68 my parents bought new, put nearly 200,000 miles on the 307 V-8.
@12:42 the trim in that Volvo is 80s like 87 88 89 the 90s one have black trim with black grill. I had a 92 Volvo 240. there are great cars just have to take car. if you want one there best year are 90 91 92 93.
W124 Facelift 1989, 300 CE, the broad plastic protectors on the side, 5 gear manual or 4 speed automatic 1991 was a second facelift with the star real on the hood, not on cooler grille like that. Color could be Obsidian Schwarz /Obsidian Black...... 6 cylinder, 180 horses catalysized, min premium 91/95 RON/ROZ........
I bet he was thinking of the Eagle Summit/Dodge Colt, which was based on Mitsubishi's smaller, subcompact platform. The sedan version has a very similar side profile to the Galant that makes it easy to confuse the two.
@@zorilla0 The Colt was the Mirage, the almost exact car as was the Eagle Summit. The Galant was a much bigger car and was never duplicated for sale in the US.

03-11 is correct. The best way to tell is the offset of the wheels. The 98-02 had a lower offset wheel and the 03+ had normal higher offset wheels like the one in the video.
What interesting and unique cars have you spotted recently in your neighborhood?
Plymouth Sundance
My high school had an orange 70’s Suburban that was a drivers education car. I drove it it was very fun 😊
CB7 Honda Accord sedan, 2003 Jetta TDI, and 1998 Toyota Sienna
For me the last few cars I took pics of while on mail route before paternity leave include
Dodge M37
Late 80s Cadillac Sedan de Ville
Jeep J10 at a Chili's

The car spotting videos are great! You're a man like me who gets excited to see some of these cars most people wouldn't bother looking twice at.
Ethan rolls right past that Supra talking about "Awww, check it out, C4 Corvette". Total pivot to a patchy Vette sitting in the shade. Man, you're the greatest & love the bike rides.
You can just go to a dealership and look at a new Supra. A trashy, old Corvette is something you see every couple of weeks. Slightly more rare.
That "Zupra" is not worth the acknowledgement.
that 240DL is a work of brick-like art - I love them now!
You should meet us at oc yota nights
These E30 Galants were pretty popular in Germany. Sold over 80k, which is a lot. Very reliable cars
super common in New Zealand too - at one point in the late 80s/early 90s they outsold the Toyota Corolla
Just went out to socal to pick up a new WRX for the wife and saw SO many gems all over SD and LA. Picked myself up a clean CB7 Accord. 😁
What’s great about doing this in California is the rust hasn’t killed all the older economy cars. If you were in the rust belt, you’d only see 2010+ cars.
That's pushing it.

I can relate. I remember when some of these cars were 'new' or 'certified pre-owned' vehicles. Now they are 'old' cars and just 500 yards away from being considered 'retro cool'.
Dude completely disregarded the clean W208 CLK320 that was on the same driveway as that suburban.
My first car was a 1991 isuzu trooper 2 with the 2.6l 4 cylinder 5 speed. Miss that truck 👍.
I saw a convertible Toyota Paseo on the freeway yesterday. I think it was a first for me.
I saw a Paseo Coupe once just a couple weeks ago. Convertibles are the rarest out of the 2 Body-styles.
congrats on 50K subscribers brother 👍
Thanks!!! :) :) :)
Keep these videos coming! They are great!

2:11 this has to be a 96 or newer, they got bigger taillights with the Facelift. Greetings from a 96 Accord Wagon and 96 Galant owner 😉

more car spotting 👍👊😍
Love the Rambler😊
Totally agree with you on our terrible choice of colors we have today, compared to years ago
Amazing finds, esp the 2 door Cherokee, Camry Coupe and the Mercedes coupe. Also 100% agree with Ethan on bringing back that old school California Sunset plate.
The "sunset" plate is the best California plate. Every time I see one, I have to take a picture!
Aka: "The Golden State" plate.
Old chevy trucks FTW as far as longevity it seems. Nice video bro!
Really cool cars
Wait! The truck camper behind the Izusu Trooper looked pretty epic!
Yeah it did!!!
Lots of Toytas and GM today, amazing how long cars stay on the road in California!
The Previa, yes.....
4:38 Starting in 1990 The Ciera was sold in Mexico with a Eurosport package and the 3.1L V8 and a 5 speed manual transmission. It is a super cool car.
36 liter v8? I believe you

Awesome video! Gotta head out with you on another 😂😂😂
This is the type of car spotting I live for! Keep up the great videos!
I loved this, is the same thing I do every day or when I visit another city/town :D
love that 1st gen Avalanche - avalanche of plastic and bad design, but nostalgic as all heck
that Cherokee was bad a$$, love to have one slightly lifted --- or maybe a Jimmy. But most of all the Suzuki Samurai.
That pink car in the cover shot looks a lot like the Mitsubishi Magna we had in Australia of its era. Funny I went to a country town in my state of Queensland to visit family and saw a white one with elderly owners on the weekend!
In Germany we had only naturally aspirated Previa....
The Jeep Comanche is one the trucks rarely seen on the roads. I see them once in a while but not often.
I’m all about that C10 camper you ignored 😢
12:20 yes! You found one of these! 😮 My Galant basically 😂 only that mine is in Europe. Always liked the USDM ones though
94-98 in the US I believe
I freaking love these videos
😀😀😀
BMW E36, 3er series Cuope.... Nice....
Fun video- thanks! Agree, didn't like the last generation Toyota Celica, but have grown to like it. Would love to see a new generation.
I saw a yellow first gen Hyundai Tiburon this year. I can’t remember the last time I saw one.
You should try Burbank, nothing but Ferrari and Lamborghini. That should be a great video! Love your videos btw
0:57 - same color as my Crown Vic.

5:40 The Buick is a Special - the three portholes are the clue. Centurys, Roadmasters and such had four.

Always look at the plate to guestimate the year of the car. That Buick had a 6 digit plate and the letter will tell you what year it was.
Please do more videos like this
I love the Car Spotting series! Please keep doing it. You should do some spotting in Piedmont. A lot of cool stuff to see here from all of the eras!

Nice 😊

What is the deal with the traffic cones? So people won't snag their spot the second they pull away?
I think it’s just to give a bit more space between careless passing cars and their beloved machines!
Right before you saw the Egg ( Previa) I KNEW you would spot one. I think I said something in the last video about how they are over LA. It's crazy you never see them here hardly anymore.

1988 To 1994 /95 and 1995 to 200? Galant...
I go spotting in la too
Great video! I was out today doing the exact same thing in my city. I'd love to have an Ethan cam for added content.
The Toyota GR86 is kind of the modern day Celica. There is a Celica of that same vintage in my neighborhood. It’s paint is in really rough shape.
i have always found it interesting that most US volvo 240 were so lowspec.
5:33 Those aren't port holes, they are Portivents.
Wow Previa’ everywhere in LA? In New York they are extremely rare. I’m more likely to find a JDM Mitsubishi Delica than a USDM Toyota Previa.
4:07 We had the 4 door version of the D21. I can get them for anybody that wants one, but not for you California guys.

Why do the cars have rust on their roofs?
Maybe it was a coastal car that got exposed to salt water, possibly one that regularly had surfboards on the roof? Just a guess
Thanks Ethan

Never. But I'm sure it will happen at some point.
