Sadly not likely Second evolution did get a PS3 PS4 Vita port in 2016 sadly IT NEVER left Japan so the only way to play Second Story/Evolution via the physical copies of the games. Yes for this Divine Force game they do need to use Second Story/Evolutions item creation system WITH THE BLOODY ARMORS existing in game though unless a Divine Force party members gets a skill similar to Healing Star a bloody armor effect would be useless.

Thanks for the hype video. I'm super looking forward to this game. The sci-fi setting combined with these huge open environments with fast combat has me excited. Character designs looks great too, it reminds me a lot of Xenoblade X.
Integrity and Faithlessness demonstrates why most all RPGs have parties of four people or less. Too much action on the screen hurts gameplay more than helps it, and balancing large parties is inherently difficult.
I actually legit love how the main protag is a buff dude. Just feels like a great way to make him stand out from the other protagonists. Did NOT know about being able to choose your main character, that's awesome! I loved that system in Second Story and immediately adds replay value. Only downside is now I have to sit at the start and ponder which one to choose first for an hour. Also, seems like Welch is basically Star Ocean's version of Final Fantasy's Cid.
Raymond isn't just buff, he's got SCARS. This is a guy that's plainly seen a lot of action. Hopefully we'll get to know his backstory through the course of the game (though probably only through choosing him as your main character).
Laetecia's character trailer straight-up confirms they'll be going to other planets, as she's shown looking up at her own world in wonder, seeing it from a distance for the first time. :) I'm very excited to see how this turns out, and I have a theory at this point that with two apparent main antagonistic groups: The Federation, and this apparent "Demon Tribe", the differences between the two main characters' stories may revolve around which faction you spend more of your time fighting. Promotional material for the game did imply you'd be getting a 'more SciFi' or 'more Fantasy' themed story depending on which one you picked.
Star Ocean Divine Force looks so good. Looks like they learned from mistakes of Star Ocean 5. I love the new character designs too, especially Elena. :)
The only thing that gives me pause is the change to how skills work. I'll have to play it to make a decision, but anything will be better than what they did in 3.
This looks a lot like the AP system from Tales of Arise combined with the arte combo system from Tales of Berseria. Hopefully they don't get called out on it.

Why is there so many scenes where Raymond's hair doesn't even cast a shadow. I hope they fix that. For example at 2:54 and then 2:56. Huge difference. They're violating the damn UP3 Treaty with this!

this definitely feels like a soft reboot for the series I think it was really needed ever since the original director left after SO4 (The Last Hope) and it really showed in SO5 there comes a point where you get lost in trying to hard to update a series for modern times while clinging onto classic elements end up losing what made those classic elements good in the first place that being said I hope they don't dumb down the Narrative more like they have been doing I really want this story to be on the same level of SO2, if not that, at least SO3

You'd think a kingdom would be smart enough to keep a crown princess off the front lines, or not have them adventure with an advanced guard for protection. I see no issue with them learning to combat tactics and how to defend themselves though. I don't know why I'm picking apart this aspect of a fantasy game. I've just seen this trope so much. "She's a female protagonist so she has to be royalty or extremely wealthy and smart." Yui from K-on! is #1 female protag of all time imho.

to me its seem more like latest tales it looked awesome and i end up not even finishing half way , and they putting female protagonist coz of what reason coz of the reason that the 5% female audience would like to play it instead of focushing on one character and make it better more deep with stuff to pick your interest, they thinking that making combat better is gonna make the game great , really stupit instead they could have rivalties emotional moments or kingdoms after you treating you like thief or something and have some twist instead of repeating boring tales games maan those people got no brains even childs could think better stories i hope they did a good job those games compare to suikoden 2 for example and similar back then we had great rpgs like parasite eve front mission final fantasys that now FF have become terrible ofc
