I've heard most of the suggestions mentioned except for one. It never occurred to me to have a monthly shopping list for non-perishable items and a weekly list for perishables I would need during the week. That makes a lot of sense to me. Also, I like removing the burden of trying to figure out what to fix every day by having a day for "this" and another day for "that". Another take on this concept would be to have a chicken night, hamburger night, steak night, etc., with whatever the favorites are for the family. I have been following you for a few years and have learned a lot. Thank you for all you do.
Hi Pam - yes - automatic the things that are good for us and making manual the things that are bad for our wealth and health and peace of mind is such a cool "hack". I love your suggestion of calling the nights by a theme - Taco tuesday, Hamburger thursdays etc - it makes meal planning for shopping, converience and health soooo much easier
it's great fun to set yourself a challange to only use what you have in your cupboards and fridge / freezer already for as long as you can - it sure makes the creative juices flow
Shopping on line is great as it stops the compulsive shopping and adding goodies into the trolley that I should not get which also helps with my weight loss plan. Pity not everything I want is available on line but it definitely helps.
This is the biggest money eater in my budget and they only place I have room to free up money. My goal is to really get a handle on this, this year. Thanks for your inspiring, insightful and helpful videos, Ann! Be blessed!

Baking the biscuits, muffins and deserts instead of buying them also helps and keeps the kids happy
It sure does :)

I want to try instapot cooking this year.
Thanks Ann. Online shopping is also something that would help me to stick to my food budget.
It is an electric pressure cooker - saves time on cooking.
