    Wow you are not kidding the pencilfish are stunning!!
    There's nothing wrong with pricey when you're getting top quality 💪♥️
    I have seen them mentioned around in videos lately I think the first one I saw was Jason from Prime Time talking about them ♥️ I'm going to add these to my dream fish list 😂❤️💥
    I love the marble and different hatchetfish.
    Of all of them though, I have to get me some half beaks someday soon!!
    I didn't realize there were different kinds!!
    I thought they were all livebearers, so thanks for the information on the different types!!
    Corys are the best fish ever hands down and these are so unique and beautiful!!
    Wow that's a neat one the spot-tailed lizard biter 😂 that is a funny name for such a beautiful fish 😂
    Elegant for sure!!
    We all need "happy tanks" 😂 one thing for sure if you got fish from Dan's fish any aquarium is going to be happy ♥️
    I could comment on every fish you have that you showed us as I watch along.
    I appreciate the way you give us their care guide on each fish as we watch!!
    I'm going to have to go over to your website and Window Shop and dream about your awesome fish 🤔✨😍
    Thank you so much for taking the time and showing us the your fish it really helps when you're checking out fish on a website to have this information when shopping!!!

    Re the Red Coral Pencilfish:
    Males have a white base to the dorsal fin (even when young), and the anal fin tends to have a much darker red border. Apart from that there's nothing much in it: the females are indeed pretty much equally colourful.

    Oooh some nice cory's, we recently brought some stunning False Armatus Cory Catfish(very pricey here in the UK), not sure if you have any experience with them? HUGE Corydoras and amazing colouration! Sadly 2 died in shipping, every time we have cories shipped we lose a couple, they need to package them separately IMO! could be the venom released in the bags maybe?

    Quick way to sex coral pencil fish is by the dorsal fin. The male have a white splash low down on the first rays of the dorsal. Works every time 🤓👍

    Hello Dan .
    I'm breeding mortenthaleri and rubrocaudatus. Check it out on my youtube chanel.
    It is sometimes very difficult to see what are males or females.
    And there are always more males then females. Even when I breed them ,the fry are much more males then females.

    • @jokervienna6433
      @jokervienna6433 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you tried changing the temperature? Some fish (as reptiles) change the male/female ratio with temperature. But kudos for breeding them anyways! Extreme egg pickers, but I guess you already know that. I have only bred margaritatus, but it should be similar.

    • @hansharreveld
      @hansharreveld 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jokervienna6433 mortenthaleri and rubrocaudatus do not eat their fry. I leave the eggs and the fry with the parents. I take the fry out at 1,5cm. You can watch it on my youtube channel And yes I tryed different temperatures. And also without heater, so day and nighttemperature are different.

    • @jokervienna6433
      @jokervienna6433 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hansharreveld Interesting. I would never have expected that from my experiences of the genus. Very nice videos!
      I used to breed one of the variants of Pseudoepiplatys, and the adults would not touch eggs or fry. But when the fry got big enough, they ate the adults fry.
      Anyways, these two species just jumped up on my "I WANT THEM!"-list!
