The first mystery fish looks to me like an African clipper barb. I had one when I was a kid. Very beautiful fish, especially when sunlight hits its silvery scales.

Want a tip to improve your videos? Get a lightweight stand with an arm& hang a black cloth from it. Place it behind you & all those reflections with be gone. If soneone is visiting when you shoot, ask them to relocate it for you when you move.
Could you keep the elongatus with other hemichromis. Maybe like Exsul? I've got a group of 8 Exsul that are fully grown and that would make a great centrepiece.
Great video, Dan! Very impressive collection of Nigerian fish! I have some of the species in my tanks as well. The first mystery barb could be Enteromius callipterus - the Clipper barb. Not sure though, but I think it is. The mystery tetra looks like Rhabdalestes septentrionalis. They live together with Alestopetersius smykalai in nature. Male R. septentrionalis have a very unique shaped anal fin, which is easy to distinguish. Couldn't recognize it on your video because of the reflections, so just checkout some pictures on the internet and compare it to your fish! Would love to see the Synodontis you mentioned.
I have a baby whale and I can't het it to eat anything. She told me it eats flakes and regular food, but nope. I've tried blood worms and seen it eat one in 3 weeks. I put brine shrimp in and it takes it but spits it out and idk what to do. Its literally getting skinny before my eyes and she won't take it back. Do you ha e any insight on caring for them please. Or anyone who reads this.
Sorry to hear your fish is struggling. I would try black worms. If the fish will eat anything, it will be black worms. If it doesn't eat black worms, the it is likely that it has an illness of some sort. Also, they need lots of cover and hiding places. If they don't have it, they may feel too stressed to eat.
@@DansFish thank you I'll try the black worms. He has a huge decorative log type thing in there and stays in there besides when I put food in there. Thank you so much for responding.
When I was a newer hobbyist I had a rope fish in my 120g. They are super awesome peaceful fish. Seeing them again in this video makes me want them again! My little guy was named wormy haha.

Ya i love my ropefish. Hes super peaceful HOWEVER he has eaten a few of my guppies😂 but thats not the end of the world haha
Those mystery tetras might be Nigerian yellow line tetras.

Nice fishes! I guess, the barb with the spot on the dorsal fin is Enteromius callipterus, and the second barb seems to be Enteromius bifrenatus.
