Running a Master Mold (to go with Ronan) is also great cause I get the extra sentinels when their Zemo pulls it. I was able to smooth out my curve with them so their Red Hulk didn't scale while mine did. Happy coincidence, lol
One thing that wasn't covered in the Snap Chat is Red Hulk's bluff power. I've won as many games by NOT playing Red Hulk as I've won with him when I baited out Shang Chi on the last turn only to win with my alternate win condition. That IN YOUR FACE animation is very intimidating and the opponent always assumes I'm going to play it!
Mailbag: Cozy gave a little definition to his rating system in today's episode (2 Star has a place in some archetype. 1 Star really doesn't fit anywhere). How would you each define each star level in your rating system?
No one was talking about mill? I was! I'd been trying to make a viable mill deck in Snap for the longest time & was really excited for Zemo's release as he's definitely the missing puzzle piece for a viable mill deck I hoped he'd be!
Mailbag: What you think about the idea of add .5 power to the game (as a buff not probably a solid starting number) . It seems the difference of +1 power or +2 can make or break some cards. So why not meet in the middle. Random example is Angela gaining 1.5 power instead of 1 power or 2 and werewolf by night 1.5 instead of 2 and lower his cost back . Or dark hawk/blob/knull gets .5 power per _______. Not saying all of these need that but it's an example of balancing some of these cards that literally 1 power means the difference between a underperformed card, and a broken card.
I feel like alioth isn't really a problem right now. My main enemy would be Hela bc the deck is based around luck and it doesn't feel like they beat me fairly when they win. It just feels like R&G
I can name the amount of times I've discarded Hela and had Hela lose me games by dropping everything in one location and not the location I NEED to win. Hela isn't an instant win
It’s five stars in my heart, three times now I’ve banked on stealing Luke Cage from toxic surfer, and it’s worked. I love Zemo. Stole a Hobgoblin once, love him.
I think Red Guardian is going to be good as the defacto 3 cost tech card. It can hit stuff that rogue hits, can stop things that cosmo stops like wong and is semi-targetable and more power. I think RG might be my card of the month.
cozy was right on point with the take on red hulk being a good generalist card, the bigger part of his power resides in being able to be played in almost any decks as a secondary wincon red hulk will be a forever meta stay if they dont overnerf him and thats very good for the game simply due to his flexibility, but it's just that, couple weeks from now when the hype dies down and the meta stabilizes after the early month OTAs he will be as 3 stars as any other 3 stars cards in the game
Huge fan of twitch streaming and snapchat and content posted by you and Cozy! I got something for your mailbag, question/ comment. What if the fix to Captain America and other beloved characters that need a buff is to make them ongoing enablers to buffs with their known associates. For example, cap buffs the avengers (like in that avengers vs xmen event), punisher buffs the defenders, colossus buffs x men and so on. I guess it would feel like the high evolutionary "evolved deck" but with a different card list to pick from.
Mailbag question: As time has gone on, do you think Cerebro is due for a rework? It seems like every month or two there’s a new location that makes it a more difficult archetype to play.
Oh my goddd its about time you guys finally tag team Alioth. Not only its a feels bad card, it feels unwinnable. People always say "oh just retreat" but wheres the interactivity in that? If i have priority, I get Shang'd. If I lose priority, I get Alioth'd. F****** bullshit
This was probably the best show yet and the sole reason for that was you praising our lord and prince of all saiyans Vegeta! Question for the next snapchat: what are your top 5 DBZ moments? (For both you and cozy)
The amount of times my RHulk has grown and I play 2 other cards on T6 is really high. So many times I Skaar + 2 drop instead in 2 different lanes and I get cubes that way a lot of the time.
I disliked being able to see Red Hulk getting power at first, but it makes him far more fair than Blob or even Evo Hulk because at that point it's your fault for not retreating
Regarding the Kramer of Snap. I don't listen to anyone's prediction other than for fun. I always listen to your analysis after the fact Alex. You're one of the few content cfeators that gives fair and honest analysis after the fact. Keep it up!
Mailbag.- What is your opinion with iconic teams in the marvel universe not having any synergy in game? For instance, the avengers , the fantastic four, the x-men, the sinister six etc.
I think a cool ability for doctor strange could be that he opens portals on either side of him and allows one of your cards to portal through each turn
I hate this meta The amount of times i have 0 cards to draw on turn 5 is bs This is the first season i regret buying MILL SHOULD NOT BE A DECK IN A 12 CARD GAME
Whats not talked about imo is what else you can play while still holding red hulk, I mean a big power swing on 1 location is expected but fortifying the other locations and keeping him in hand is another playline thats legit sometimes
Mailbag: I had a shower thought about the underated cards. It might be busted but hey these cards in my opinion need some love. Captain America (3/2) Ongoing. Give all cards in your location +3, your cards here can't move.(Shadow Buff to Cannonball) The other card which I think desperately needs a change is Doctor Strange. I think it should be; (3/3) On Reveal. The last/next card you play moves to random location. Let me know what you guys think, probably busted but I thought it could be a good change? You guys are always the highlight of my Mondays, thank you for never missing an EP! Gonna miss you next week Cozy, but looking forward to Drewberry sweeping in the save the day again!
Actually super agree with alex, Not only is it super advertised but like i think five star is Loki or Alioth level of "This needs a nerf" Or "There's only one way to beat this and it doesn't always work. I've been leader, Doc Oct, and shun chi'ing every red hulk i see.
Hot take: Living Tribunal is the new Galactus. Just like the old Galactus decks, Living Tribunal is so consistent and hard set on the one win condition that the answer is really only: do you have the counter? yes = win, no = lose.
Tbh although shadow king is amazing he isn’t played as much as Shang so you could just take out the “can’t have it’s power reduced” part of the ebony blade and since it can’t be shanged it would still be great and you would only rarely get hit by the SK.
I could see Zemo becoming an important card in metas where having two of a certain card is absolutely busted. I'm thinking back to the Elsa Meta where if you got two Elsas you were cooking with gas.
Also pro ladder climbing tip.... push alot the 1st week of a new season, and play late/really early..... it vastly increases the amount of bots you face... Also when there is an optional update, if you don't update right away, you won't be matched against the updated players and cards
The problem with milling is that we only have 12 cards. So when we have empty decks by turn 3/4, that’s an issue. They are incredibly protective over card draw, yet they casually allow your deck to get destroyed by a mill deck in just a few turns. I don’t think the archetype is that great, I’ve had no issues hitting infinite and climbing, but there are some definite red flags with the whole archetype
Shang chi being “important for the game” is such a cop out for the dev team. He’s in 80% of the top decks every week. They just make these crazy powerful cards and just force you to play Shang. If you don’t play Shang chi you are just at a disadvantage. Reminds me of old America Chavez but more boring to play against
In defense of Red Hulk being a 4 star card: I went against the card all week and people tend to see red with him (pun intended). They get so distracted by how much big their Red Hulk is getting, they don't realize I've taken prio and set up the board in such a way there's only one place to logically play him. A 6/30 card without priority is still Alioth food.
I really liked cozy’s idea for improving new player exp with the pick your poison kind of option. Also, agree with the mini bundles that would be archetype specific! $20 for patriot, ultron, brood? Soldddddd. But nah $99 for another wong variant, some creds and some boosters ✅😂
the one thing about red hulk i like is that it is a bluff card in a way, the same way moving vs not moving phoenix force can be, yes i have red hulk, wanna play that shan chi for 3 points while i completely ignore the red hulk and play something else and still beat you?, it is a great lure
Mailbag question: Do you think - or would you be opposed to - Second Dinner extending deck size or turns as a powercreep counter to change the game in enough way if changing a bunch of cards at one time would be more difficult to challenge the meta? Ex. A 16 card deck or 7 turn games with Magik bumping it up to 8. It's funny to picture a Thanos deck going to 22 cards lol
Just to add to Cozy's experience of playing a card for a short period of time, every time they release these new cards, they pump a hot location that makes the card shine early. It's really hard to get a better idea of how cards are going to normally perform when you have locations that are being thrown at you to tip the scales in the new cards favor. it's just not indicative of regular use.
Mailbag: What do you guys think about second dinner implementing new feature like spotlight caches and albums, but limiting themelves by linking the features with new variants as rewards? I feel like without new variants there would be more albums already or rarer cards would be more frequent in the spotlight caches. In addition to that, what do you guys think about buying variants directly from the album page?
SNAPCHAT MAILBAG The whole lore of the stones is that they power the gantlet. What if you leave Thanos at 10 power and instead they charge him to snap half of the lane? As in the movies when he gets all 6 stones he snaps half the population. That would incentivize playing all stones in my opinion. We have enough big power cards.
Red hulk is a 6/5 rating and I agree with Cozy. What were the devs thinking? The card fits anywhere and its win condition is solely done by itself. Yeah, there are arguments for counters but that just means you are the one playing in the defensive against a standalone beast. The only balance with red hulk is that everyone has it and im sure you’ll see a plus 50% participation in the meta.
Mailbag: It seems we have counter or cards to counter certain effects. Do you think we will see a card where you can keep your opponent from gaining more energy? If so what kinda draw back/ramifications would this card need to not be overpowered?
To be honest I passed on Red Hulk. Yes a good card but only a stat card. I prefer to keep my ressources on "most fun" or "archetype defining card". I guess I could put Magneto as a 6 drop if needed 🤷♂️
I feel like red bull being this powerful at release is a slap in the face to discard's Apocalypse nerf. Which I think that nerf was not needed. I don't think discard is that good of a place post Chavez rework
Sorry Mill is super frustrating to play well and yet it is always frustrating to have played against you. Yes I have bias in this and personally feel that mill adds too much toxicity to the game.
I'm a Mill player in MTG. And truthfully, mill is just a bad strategy, period, especially in a game that doesn't allow you to capitalize on the cards that have been milled (like you can in mtg by reanimating cards from the opponent's graveyard), and even more in a game where you don't even have any real consequence if your deck is over. But yeah, it is frustrating to see your cards going away. The mindset that I have playing against mill is just to imagine as "the card that was milled was actually the bottom card of the deck". In terms of probability, it might as well be, and it's just a card that's gone but that I wouldn't have drawn anyway. If anything, it only gives me more info on what I have left in my deck.
@@mr.dragoncrypto4138 Just cause I criticize an archetype does not mean I need to "get better". I know plenty of people that criticize destroy and I have never called for them to get better. Obviously you love being a toxic person and add nothing to the conversation as the previous person did. I actually appreciate their take from being a MTG mill player.
@chrisedwards6606 100% hard agreed Not having cards to draw in turn 5 is Uber frustrating I feel like the developers were like, how to we piss off as many players as possible. This is the 1st season I don't want to play
@@Wakrar I appreciate your take, especially coming from another game that has a similar archetype. Still don't like the archetype but I do appreciate your input and insight into it. And while I get the idea of knowing what you have left in your deck and hand, it can be hard to see that and focus on that when you are also seeing cards you can use disappear.
I think they're gonna take Red Hulk to a 6/10 that gets +3. I think this is a much more fair position for it. It's still nutty big, maybe even too big, but the reason I believe this is because of Hulk. 1 skip makes Red Hulk 6/13, a little smaller than Hulk. 2 skips evens him out with Hulk at 6/16. With 3 turns off curve, only then does it get bigger than Hulk at 6/19. I think that's at least the first nerf Red Hulk gets. High Evo Hulk has a bigger deck building cost with the forced High Evo so even then maybe it's still too strong because Red Hulk has 0 deck building cost. Hes just generic
Mailbag: considering the popularity of energy boosting and the amount of play magik is getting, most decks liking turn 7 nowadays, how long do you think it is until we see a 7 cost card? And no, death doesnt count!
MAILBAG: Has there ever been a buff to a card that just ruined it for one of your decks? For instance, I used to have 3/2 Dazzler in a negative/surfer deck and 4/5 Stegron in a C5 deck, but now those days are long gone due to second dinner giving these cards “buffs”
I ALWAYS tell people with low collections to add Hulk to their deck. Doesn't matter the deck. Chunky 6 drops without conditions = wins and Red Hulk is just a much better Hulk.
Now that Angela's back they should bring the werewolf back i'll play him as 3/1. I can't play him at 4 cost he was so much fun at 3/3. With so many new strong archetype it will be good that he came back and compete in the new meta.
If you don't like the Zemo/Red Hulk deck, run Bast. It's so funny watching the angry guy pop up on your screen, grunt, and go from 3 power to 7.
I’ve ran Hela and love their Goadiator pulling my chunk and Zemo pulling my blade killing their Red Hulk. I’ve had Zemo discard a handful of red hulks
I run both Bast and Hood in my bounce deck so Zemo stealing a card is a huge win for me lol
Yeah haha. I played discard to infinite and it screwed up so many Zemo players as well.
Running a Master Mold (to go with Ronan) is also great cause I get the extra sentinels when their Zemo pulls it. I was able to smooth out my curve with them so their Red Hulk didn't scale while mine did. Happy coincidence, lol
"Whats a 5 star card, besides Black Swan"
Greatest betrayals in anime history

I think we all have at one point aha, I used to love playing a destroy mill deck back when yondu hit randomly
I think strange should have wongs ability and Wong should have stranges ability
Loved the “You love Vegeta?, is water wet?” Made me chuckle
Cozy just nodding in the last mailbag answer was just so funny to me 😂

One of my most hated cards to play against is gambit. It destroys set ups and combo decks so well. Under rated card I feel
This guy had the luckiest Gambit play on Kamar-Taj, followed by Grandmaster. I ended up losing by one because he hit 3/4 of my most important pieces…
As a mill player, I think that Baron Zemo is a 5 star card.

Yes! Alex’s Vegeta comparison is so good and fits Shang-Chi so well. 31:10

Yep. I play a Tempo Ramp deck and this is often what I do. It tricks my opponent into giving me cubes.

Alioth is one of those cards that you feel dirty playing. It feels so bad yet it feels sooooooo good at the same time when it hits. 27:32
Mailbag: which card do you have the most variants/infinity splits of
Prof x, Cannonball, Alioth, and Shang chi is such a busted slept on package. I can set up so many situations where i know I just win.
This is my favourite Dragonball-Z podcast!
I think a cool ability for doctor strange could be that he opens portals on either side of him and allows one of your cards to portal through each turn
Alioth 100% is mine. Everytime i get aliothed i turn my game off and do something else lol
perfect for my spinning session. thank you guys !
Shang-Chi is a very necessary evil. He pisses me off but snap needs a card like that to stop vertical decks.
I hate this meta
The amount of times i have 0 cards to draw on turn 5 is bs
This is the first season i regret buying
MILL SHOULD NOT BE A DECK IN A 12 CARD GAME
I feel like they were going insane over the course of this one 😂
“Jim Cramer of Marvel Snap” made me cackle lol, but you’re not THAT bad hahaha
Alex’s deck has been solid for me so far lol! Captain Marvel has won me so many games tbh ngl..And Red Hulk is a beast as well!
Whats not talked about imo is what else you can play while still holding red hulk, I mean a big power swing on 1 location is expected but fortifying the other locations and keeping him in hand is another playline thats legit sometimes
cozy's salute at the end after alex did it is so funny 😭
6/10 and +3 is my prediction when redhulk gonna stop after nerf
Good shout, I think we'll find out quickly too
That Spider-Man 2099 idea actually sounds insane (in a good way). Afflicting cards with -4 power whenever he moves would improve him heavily.
genuinely enjoyed how delusional you guys turned at the end 😂
Mailbag: I had a shower thought about the underated cards. It might be busted but hey these cards in my opinion need some love.
Captain America (3/2) Ongoing. Give all cards in your location +3, your cards here can't move.(Shadow Buff to Cannonball)
The other card which I think desperately needs a change is Doctor Strange.
"Are you a DBZ fan?"
"Is water wet?"
This cracked me up. Too true, Cozy
Perhaps the best outro of all time: "What he said. My eyes burn." lmao, y'all are the best!!
I just want you guys to know, if I ever quit playing Snap, I will still watch your shows!! Keep being awesome and having fun!!

I almost got Red Hulk to beat Cozy’s blob. I got him to 95 with Shuri on Kamar-Taj
I def agree the "choose your path" approach to early game card acquisition could work for a while for sure
Tbh although shadow king is amazing he isn’t played as much as Shang so you could just take out the “can’t have it’s power reduced” part of the ebony blade and since it can’t be shanged it would still be great and you would only rarely get hit by the SK.

The cards i wanna see buff or get a rework are Ultron, Jean Grey, Spider-Man 2099 and Martyr
Ultron in Zoo is goated.
Ultron is fine
The villains of Snap for me are the bots that get help from the game to make you lose no matter what.
Hate cheat bots
Also pro ladder climbing tip.... push alot the 1st week of a new season, and play late/really early..... it vastly increases the amount of bots you face...

Mailbag Question: Do you guys have any base card variants you like more than some of their other variants?
I can't believe how slept on Zemo was. Well, actually I can. It's wild how much card evaluation changes in this community.

whenever a baron zemo is played, i always say "join us!" in a joker-esq voice in my head
My biggest enemy, wong, there so many ways to play him that I can never tell what my opponent actually doing and it always beats me last minute
Appreciate the time stamps!
In defense of Red Hulk being a 4 star card: I went against the card all week and people tend to see red with him (pun intended). If Cozy and Alex love Vegeta then Super is a must watch. It does so much for Vegeta's character.
Running a lockdown/high evo deck with red hulk, storm, armor and cosmo. It’s pretty fun
I really liked cozy’s idea for improving new player exp with the pick your poison kind of option. Also, agree with the mini bundles that would be archetype specific! $20 for patriot, ultron, brood? Soldddddd. But nah $99 for another wong variant, some creds and some boosters ✅😂

The mindset that I have playing against mill is just to imagine as "the card that was milled was actually the bottom card of the deck". In terms of probability, it might as well be, and it's just a card that's gone but that I wouldn't have drawn anyway. If anything, it only gives me more info on what I have left in my deck.
Get better and quit crying.
@chrisedwards6606 100% hard agreed
Not having cards to draw in turn 5 is Uber frustrating
I feel like the developers were like, how to we piss off as many players as possible.
Thanks for the video, and for the advice.
First they killed his one true love, Aero, and now they've killed his cat, Zabu. Is Cozy about to go John Wick on Second Dinner?
MAILBAG: Has there ever been a buff to a card that just ruined it for one of your decks? For instance, I used to have 3/2 Dazzler in a negative/surfer deck and 4/5 Stegron in a C5 deck, but now those days are long gone due to second dinner giving these cards “buffs”
I ALWAYS tell people with low collections to add Hulk to their deck. Doesn't matter the deck. Chunky 6 drops without conditions = wins and Red Hulk is just a much better Hulk.
I've just added to my Caiera to my Red Hulk deck.
Hulk better enjoy his 4/20 because he won't make it into mid May as is. He will be nerfed, trust me
Now that Angela's back they should bring the werewolf back i'll play him as 3/1. I can't play him at 4 cost he was so much fun at 3/3. With so many new strong archetype it will be good that he came back and compete in the new meta.
