Thank you so much mate. Today I wanted to make a hammock in the garden for my beautiful wife and I used your methods. I used bigger bed sheet and thicker rope. When the thought first came to make a hammock I thought I could only make an ok hammock, thanks to you it turned out to be AMAZING… Love from Turkey
Works great if you are under 4 feet tall. All commercial tents are a minimum of 9.5 feet and those are considered short. Most hammocks are 11 feet in length for a reason and that is comfort, if you are over 6 feet tall you should consider a 12 foot hammock.
Both cotton bed sheets I used ripped. I don't want to use polyester or nylon because of the not-so-breathability of the fabrics. I love the design and if I could find the right fabric that won't tear yet be comfortable for me this is a summer dream come true. I am thinking muslin....?
The easiest way I found. If you bunch it up the long way you can even use twin bedsheets. If you angle the sheet so that one side is higher than the other yo can sit sideways in it
Could you make a hammock from plastic netting bags for produce? Hate that they end up as waste. I imagine they really mess up wildlife if they get tangled in them or eat them
