8:24 I am a Dutch citizen and recently visited Basra via Kuwait (Abdali- Safwan) during the month of Ramadan and left Basra 4 days ago. In fact, I found ease and a great welcome at the Iraqi border more than the Kuwaiti one. Their dealings were very friendly and I didn't face any difficulty. I got the visa in less than 10 minutes and it cost me $75 .
I visited many places in Basra and enjoyed my trip and the delicious Iraqi food. I will definitely visit Iraq again soon.

Usually, whoever visits Kuwait from the northern border with Iraq is not welcome to most Kuwaitis views because of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the terrorist organizations in Iraq.

Many years ago in the 80 s my wife parents travelled all over the Middle East in a VW camper they went to Iraq and had problems with a credit card or some such problem I can’t remember now , but they were stranded for a week unable to continue way out in Iraq ,,when the people in the nearest village found out they were having difficulties , they wouldn’t hear about them staying out in the heat , they were welcomed into a house of a family and treated like long lost friends , when my father in law was very old he always talked about the people and how welcoming and open they were , and was very upset when the war started ,,,

I love this! This is my first time visiting your channel, and I think it is sooooo cool to see a Lady on a bike! When I am tooling around on my BMW R1150RS, and I see a Lady on her bike, I always make sure I compliment her, and tell her how awesome it is to see a lady on a bike! One thing I've learned as I've traveled the world is this: everywhere, people are just people, and if you are good to them, and treat them with love, you'll receive the same in return, almost always, except for the odd day you might encounter someone having, but that ain't about me, and I don't pretend it is by taking anything personal....so, things usually work out beautifully. Truly. Bless you on your journey, dear Lady! God bless!! Much love from Oregon. : )

Iraq is amazing, I went there at a young age to see extended family in '89. I'm learning (from recent migrant here in Australia) there there is a large biker uptake in Iraq.
