    I'm a big user of Yolink Outdoor Sensors, Siren and Key Fob. Their Gear is rock solid and easy setup even you need to get a hub. They work excellent with Alexa.

    Thank you very much for the share, it is very helpful. I also bought these outdoor motion sensor and use it for similar application. However, the apps always shows "motion detected" and the "Time to enter No-Motion state" suddenly change to a huge number (by default it is 1 minutes only), although it does not affect the function but it is quite annoying.

    Awesome thanks for the vid... What is the range of the sensor and does it have a sensitivity adjustment?

  • @Stubones999

    That's great! All you need to do to open the gate is reach over in front of the outdoor sensor and wave your hand... Nice! simplicity often undermines security. I would have mounted the motion sensor some distance in from the gate.

    Just ordered one of these and figured you would have a video about it I could watch until it arrives! I have a very long driveway and I want to use it to announce visitors, the only problem I might have is a lot of wildlife on my property. Is there any adjustment on the sensitivity?

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To the yolink Siren, yes. You may be able to create an Alexa routine to have it work with your Ring camera...

  • @merlynsdad
    @merlynsdad 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I added a line to the routine so that Alexa tells you when the sensor is tripped so I don’t have to watch the monitor. We have the reverse setup but when the Blink sensor is tripped she says “Someone is at the front door” and then takes the live feed for 1 minute.

  • @danaparish1644
    @danaparish1644 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I would MOVE that sensor (if possible) so that someone from outside isn’t able to activate that gate from the outside. As it is, someone can reach over and activate the motion alarm to open gate and get onto your property. Just a thought.

    • @danaparish1644

  • @vitormoz
    @vitormoz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Hi there, that was quite interesting. Just a quick question... The sensor is situated at the gate itself. Is it possible that someone could stand at the gate and wave their hand over the sensor in order to gain access to the property? Or have you set up a routine between certain times only? Brilliant suggestion though, thank you.

    • @BenbenDesalapen
      @BenbenDesalapen 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sensor is mounted with a tie strap, for sure it’s just for the sake of demonstration only of how you can use the sensor differently, otherwise it defeats the security. If it’s permanent, then yes, what is Todd thinking.
