A wander around the remains of Glan Ely High School

A short video showing the shell of one of the blocks of Glan Ely High School in Ely, Cardiff - a few months before everything was torn down. The 3 story block was avoided, sadly, due to workers nearby. Some photos of the block were taken on another, quieter day, so at least some kind of historical archive exists.

The main block you were exploring was where the staff rooms and offices for the heads of year were located.
Down the brick lined stairs were the lecture theatre and a science/Chemistry lab.
Also on the ground floor of that block was a home economics classroom facing towards Drope Road and the then Cavalier pub.
The cleared area with the one blue reclaimation skip, was mainly an arts and craft area, metal working shop and even a small motor mechanics area.
