note to self:
2 cup flour
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1 tspn baking soda
sal
1/4 cup oil
~mix mix~
1 cup water (gradually add while kneading)
cover with lil bit of oil
rest for 2 hours
knead and shape
fry it crispy af
i mightve made the saddest bread I ever ate in my life.....
There was no bubbles at all and it didnt puff up.... It just looks sad bread
Idk which among these did me wrong 😭😭;
homemade baking powder (found on google) cos we dont have it
or
1/2 cup of water instead of 1 cause it gets too gooey
or
over kneading???

I shouldbe refrigerated it while it rests cause I’m in a tropical country??
Uhhhh Imma try to let it rest in ref for a few hours and hope for a miracle I guess???????

Let it sit for 2 hours the time for baking soda and baking powder to do it works to puff up the dough then once you fried it will rise up keep watching and try over again . Stayed bless 💕

I.THINK BAKING SODA AND.BAKING POWDER REPLACE THE.WORK.OF THE YEAST..MEANING? INSTEAD OF USING THE YEAST, IT USED BOTH OF THE BAKING :-)

Why do you use oil instead of water to glue together the 2 pieces of dough. Oil wont make it stick. Also you did not show us the inside after frying to see if it is nice and airy.

Bad recipe, too much baking soda. Didn't elongate the dough before dropping into frying oil.
