    many thanks for sharing your knowledge; always impressed with how much info you manage to pack in to your videos;
    (not sure if you mentioned this, but my life became a lot easier when i realised that you need to hold down the SHIFT CTRL keys only when you start to draw out a stroke with these brushes; once you've started, you can release those keys; makes it easier to later on use the ALT key, for example)

      Hey Sam! Yeah, your totally right! i guess it slipped my mind but yes if you tried holding ctrl+shift all the time it would be a great way towards carpal tunnel syndrome..

    I don't really understand the point of Trim when there's Knife, which does the same thing, only right.

      The knife brush came waaay after these brushes so thats why its so much more convenient. But the trim brush does do a close holes operation after you slice so that might be somrthing you want to use; ive needed this a few times when sculpting. Im just giving you a list of tools and its up to you on how/ where to use them... But yes i understand your point, haha

    Has the stability of the knife tool improved in 2024? I'm on zbrush 2022 and knife tool will crash zbrush frequently on hi-poly meshes unless I dynamesh between every cut.

      Hey Markel!
      How High poly are you talking? Because sometimes reardless of the version if your PC is low spec it wont really matter. And also it depends on the type of cut; sometimes it might be easier to just slice, fill and then cut that area because theres less to calculate... Also it could just be that version of zbrush that has this problem; it has been a recurring thing in Zbruush for a while now...
      Either way i would suggest upgrading because there are some really awesome tools in 2023 and 2024 zbrush!

      @@thivolan3d Usually I'm working in the millions which probably makes it worse! Not sure exactly what causes it, seems quite random and dynameshing in-between cuts usually prevents it crashing out so its not the end of the world, just takes me out of the flow compared to something like 3dcoat where this cut functionality its effortless (altho 3dcoat cant even get close to zbrush on poly count!)
      I might upgrade one day, but not quite worth the cost to me just yet - I'm on a pre-Autodesk perpetual license, so updates stopped at 2022.
      I'm sure a new function will come along soon that's too good to resist :)

      @@MarkelBay Fair enough... Paying that much for a few functions doesnt make sense to a lot of people.
