Let's see the Liberty City side of the mod, man. C'mon now. Can't just leave us hanging like that & then not have the following video you upload actually be the one you referenced in this. No one cares that another TH-camr modded GTA:5 to be more like GTA:6 & blah blah blah... its been done a million times already. You actually had a lot of potential to stand out with this mod & dropped the ball in my own personal opinion. Not trying to be harsh either, just sharing my perspective. Maybe with a little constructive criticism if you will. This is really your way of gaining subs though? 🤨🤔 You would've had me if that would've been your follow up video.

That's going to happen at some point. I've always seen these map backports as a showcase of the insane feats that are possible, so I don't think GTA VI will be any different.

Hey, I actually joined that group. Apparently they are making the mod for the Mobile port as for now. I almost forgot I've joined that group because nowadays I went to VK to watch Koskha videos, Russian CS headlines and Russian Drift Scene. Actually you can increase render distance using 2DFX. But expect some lag.

A PS2 Remake of GTA V is definitely possible and would be awesome. Imagine playing story mode and online as an MMO expansion like final fantasy xi

I always thought it was a cool concept seeing the other games maps in different game engines. each engine has its own style and atmosphere, and its really cool getting to see them combined.

VC's _may be_ the faster one. SA's perhaps had more optimizations implemented, but anyway.
Wondering if they'll take inspiration from V and IV for optimization (I know IV's performance on PC is not great, but the PS3 had some parts quite brilliantly designed - it was just not accepted by developers for some of its inconsistencies that made if _different_ - and if IV and V are learnt from, it'll be great to see these older games' engines using the similar designs).
Perhaps they will've written entirely new engines optimized as much as IV's and V's - by the time this actually happens (probably won't be "20 or 30 years" if legal issues and disinterest don't take over). Like, an entirely different executable that runs as long as assets are available - or at least, changes in the game's code along with some remnants or straight-up _clones_ of the game's older APIs - or some kind of conversion - that still lets old mods work, even with most of the binary's code overhauled with newer design practices.
*My text may sound like gibberish since it's a bunch of ideas and not a full explanation.* A programmer _might_ understand.

This is incredible, but it would be even more impressive if someone could run this on the PS2 or Xbox version of GTA San.
Rockstar would made ton of a deal if they let this group do definitive edition, same missions on different map would definetly be definitive, deserving such price tag.

I was playing this mod when i was a kid in 2014 when it barely had downtown area and franklins hood. since then I have never heared anything about it because it got taken down by rockstar. Very sad it vanished from the world. It's great that you cover this modification again

@@bassram3337 Its actually a thing? I thought any APK site claiming it has say Battlefield on mobile are just malware apps. Also add the fact that Winlator is playing GTA V surprisingly well on +2023 high end phones.
This is great, though some times I wish we could somehow see a good blend of both the original San Andreas map with the GTA 5 map, make it so San Andreas' story mode is still playable and you have the appropriate iconic locations from the game, but you've also got the better sights and locations from GTA 5

The RenderWare engine was one of the best gaming engines in the early 2000's. so much so that R* got inspired to make the RAGE Engine,based on Rockstar San Diego's previous Angel Game Engine (AGE), that and the fact the engine was 3rd party and eventually sold off and shelved, otherwise the RenderWare Engine would still be in use. Most of the engines limitations are hardware, software side could have been updated easily to accommodate modern hardware. Just comparing the renderware versions of gta with the RAGE Engine version of gta's files, one can see just how similar the file structure is between the 2 despite using different game engines.
Very interesting comparison, and it just goes to show that in reality GTA 4 , EFLC and 5 could be ported to modern day Android, Ios, Linus, Blackberry devices (well at least benchmark devices and not the weaker models).
Please also do GTA Vice City and GTA 3
There's a mod called GTA stars and stripes that adds a USA like map with the GTA 3 liberty city and vice city as Miami
Even has some other cities too

It's good to see, when modders doing biggest mods to push game limits EVEN furthest than you can imagine. Also, I want to see, when authors of this mod will make driving physics mixed between IV and V

3:41 it's probably just spawning where the rails would be on the SA map had you not replaced it. Either that or it's the rare pathing glitch seen near the peir in GTA5 where other vehicles spawn on the boat's path. I've legit seen cars drive on water in that area.

Very impressive. I love how dedicated the gta fanbase is, almost feels like they're too good for modern rockstar.
The draw distance struggles HARD to get the map to work lol but it's still interesting to see a PS2 era game loading a modern city like that

Politics. and global events aside, yes I do agree with your comment; also, Chasm for Microsoft Windows was created by European or Asian development teams (mainly Russians or Ukrainians if I am not mistaken).

In my opinion, it’s better to mod the San Andreas map into V.
But the GTA IV map is alright.

This almost looks like if GTA 4 was set in Los Santos.
Use GTA SA draw distance changer, the archive has a .asi and .ini file in it, default is 800, change it to about 2000 and you're set, if this mod supports outside mods.
Is there a Luddendorf from Prologue? I like to see it fully accessible without any no-collision holes like in V
This is what GTA San Andreas should have been but due to the limitations of the PS2 They couldn't. Wish I could play this.

3:05 huh? gang wars are part of GTA:SA, they might have re-done the zones to fit the new map, but that is not a feature added by the mod.

The only key thing they need to change to make it look fantastic for GTA SA graphics is to stop the textures to be such ultra repetetive, there was a term for that, would look it up on GPT if I weren't on the go rn.
