- It's a Giant RC Car from China and 101% not a Traxxas Xmaxx, it's also not a Cheap RC Car! It's a HPI Savage XL Flux Chassis with a Body that looks like a Traxxas Xmaxx. I broke it in less than 5 Mins! It's called the ROFUN Torland XL and runs 6s!

I don't believe it's a copy, HPI sold the rights to this vehicle and their 1/8 rally car a while back (about 5 years), so this is the same truck, just not assembled in the same controlled conditions.

This is listed at $630 for me here in the US! The actual savage is only $680, but honestly I feel like you would get more for your money with a 6s outcast or a revo!

I would have a hard time paying 450-500$ for this truck. Don't understand how they sell any of these trucks for that price.

Aluminium chassis, all metal gears, aluminum shocks, high quality electronics, presence of metal center diff (1/10 scale RCs usually do not have center diff)..
This Sketer truck is pretty solid. Much tougher than the 600 dollar Maxx

Mm.., can you fuse that clutch , eliminating the slip feature 😁 as of for the steering , disconnect servo and check for binding It’s the first thing I do on all my cars. Thinking of the servo’s wellbeing 😊. Always great vids ! 👍👍

I didn’t check the receiver, but doesn’t say anything about a gyro from what I could see

Happens with ‘proper’ brands too! I got a Team Associated Trophy Rat for Christmas and that blew the rear tyres off the rims and stripped the idler gear within 15 minutes!
Stock slipper on the savage is a pile of poo as well. 😂 If it starts slipping stop immediately or you will warp the steels and even though the clutch doesn't look torched it won't grab properly afterwards. It's not a great design, it appears to have come from the 1/10th works and is nowhere near strong enough for the weight these trucks have.

Hello, I have a question about this product. If you look at the 6 minutes and 50 seconds of the video, the wheel hex nut is like an arrma RC. But if I look at the parts manual on the manufacturer's website of the product, it is a sleeve axle method like an old Savage. When I asked the manufacturer, they said that nothing has changed from the old shape, and the manual is correct. But your video is the same as the new Savage v2 model's hex nut shape. Are the models sold in Asian and European countries different? Can you answer this?
Needs lot of upgrades on this truck to make it any good.

Ive done that i was running down hill to get the tire that fal off at 50 mph. .then the tire made the turn and kept going one came off in the woods at my work. 2.2 white wheell with 6in tire was looking for 6 months to find it

Ok same problem on older savage conversion from nitro to 4075 brushless, lock tight that nut, also does this have a center diff? And curious how the diffs and spider gears hold up. That is a common fail point with the torque the brushless has over the nitro version of hpi.

I may look at getting the New V2… I’m not sure it would financially make sense to get the older Savage. I think if this was cheaper it may be worth a go… but looks like it’s the same price as the actual Savage
