I’m in an urban area so we do use our sirens a lot but in the more sparse areas it’s only really necessary on blind turns or intersections, but they are then incredibly necessary and you need to have them running, not just chirped. If it’s a stop sign or an otherwise low volume intersection you can chirp the siren, but for ones with traffic lights you need it fully going and ideally on yelp or phaser
@@literalantifaterrorist4673 the Q and air horn are typically enough to get people out of the way but then you have people who are not so bright we ran an MVA one day we roll out lights and sirens but any way we get on scene and we wanted to pull up to the crash sight it was a roll over with serious injuries and this car decided to block both lanes of traffic so our driver laid in the air horn for a good 15 -20 seconds then my officer yelled out the window and the they finally moved note my departments trucks are fluorescent yellow so if you can’t see a big fluorescent yellow truck with flashing red and blues that’s on you
Yeah it's ridiculous. There keeps beign instances(especally in PA and the NEoverall where this practice is super common), crashes due to that. IMO, if it's enough fo an emergency to run the lights then you need to run the sirens like the rule and law books say you should. If you don't need the siren, you don't need the lights.
Crown Vic is like one of those old police veteran who serve their people well and long with love for the people and dedication, now retired into the civilian life and watching from the sideline, the new generations serving the same role they once serve and create their memories from, be it sweet or bitter or sorrow.

you American got it easy. You only have to looks for undmarked Chargers, Explorers and similar vehicles. In Europe everything from small hatchback to BMW X5 could be unmarked police, both new and old. It's even worse in UK. They now have Golf GTI's and R', M340i's, Kia Stingers' and other performance versions

I would assume it’s some compliance they are following for using non emergency vehicles with strobe lights. In a lot of states you cannot use any colored lights on what would be seen as a “civilian” vehicle. In my state you can use any color besides blue and there are some exceptions for red. Like volunteer fire departments.

Here that is used for speed and red light cameras as a way to tell in the photo if the emergency vehicle has lights activated. The traffic light control system here is called Emergency Vehicle Priority (EVP) and is a computerized system that doesn't involve LED's
I can only speak for me and for a handful of people like me, but I do this to spread out content. I dont get out to take videos everyday, sometimes it could be weeks inbetween me catching anything. So, in order to put out content daily, I stack up what I get and have been able to compile enough backlog to post 2 videos daily. If I didnt do it this way, then there would be maybe a video posted here and there or sometimes 10+ videos posted at a time and then nothing else for a few weeks. I had also noticed in the past that with posting multiple videos at the same time, not all of them see the same engagement, so I feel its better to spread it out if I can.
It did happen a while ago. Each of these individual videos are already posted and have been for a while. Multiple people in my comments recently have been asking for longer videos and compilations. I realized that I could make a new, longer compilation style video using the clips from this incident.
In my 30 years of experience. It's never that easy to join them, I think anyone can. Different kinds of police cars with huge lights and sounds. Suspects have weapons as well, like knives and guns. In this city of Philadelphia, gun violence accor, buying guns for whatever usage. Reasons why everyone should remember this, be safe and careful for what you say or do, it'll come back to you👮♂️🚔

I've always wondered if US police really need an MRAP. They were built and designed for war. I don't recall the last time I heard about police being attacked by Rockets, Dshk's and IED's. Don't get me wrong they work very well for what they're designed for, but idk that urban America is it.

Some of those weren't cops. Most of the vehicles with red and white were probably local volunteer paramedics/county EMS personnel. They are often required to come to scenes like that to stage in case shooting starts and people get hurt.
