Fun fact: they made her SS97 as a reference to her debut the show and toyline being the first female transformers to hit the shelves in both japan and US
I mean technically not in Japan because airazor is a dude in the Japanese version

Airazor was actually male in the Japanese dub, and they didn't change her relationship with Tigatron, making them the first gay couple in the franchise 😁

Just thought about how insanely fast she must be. Airazor is a peregrine falcon, which is the earth's fastest animal at a record of 300mph. Stack on top the fact she's a robot? Insane!
I literally just got the figure a few weeks ago and I have such a fun time making her dive bomb decepticons out of nowhere, at a speed of about Mach 7. "Rocketbomb!" Like an anime character lol
I actually feel like I still prefer the mainline version. I like the more feminine headsculpt and the bird mode compared to this one. I've always had issues with the legs in bird mode with the old Airazor mold. I will say the deco makes this version's bird mode a bit more cohesive looking compared to the Kingdom Airazor and all its bright orange. Either way, I'll still be getting this one and the mainline version. 😂👍
How come Hasbro never made the Mainline ver. of Scourge and Battletrap yet??
I would've also gotten those two as well if Hasbro made them atleast since I don't wanna risk getting made fun of from other Transformers collectors if I bought the SS ver. of those two Terrorcons because of their legs.
I agree the mainline one is much better, plus common swords!!
The head sculpt for the studio series figure is an eyesore tbh
The SS bird mode looks like a mess. Transformation is lazy. Looks like a half transformed bird😂Mainline is much better.
I really like the kind of steampunk look for Airazor here. It’s quite neat
One thing I definitely respect about PvP is he has at least started waiting for the official reveal before he reviews them.
I much prefer the engineering in the mainline rotb deluxe airrazor, and the undercarriage of the beast mode looks far cleaner more like an actual bird, not a "bird-man" almost. Though the robot mode of the SS airrazor does, I think look better and probably more accurate. I think I'd like to get the mainline for the beast mode, and the SS for the robot mode. Either way great figure overall, and great review!! Thanks for the video, and keep up the good work!!
I loved my kingdom Airazor until it broke on me. There was a razor thin piece of plastic right on the wing hinge that was probably not a very good design choice. I'm glad to see they fixed the sole issue with that mold on this version!
Thinking on the “SS has a better robot mode, Mainline has a better Alt mode” thing; Hasbro probably did that on purpose so that they’ll be able to have better sales for each one, if the SS was better overall, they wouldn’t be seeing much sales from the mainline. I’m expecting this to be the same on various levels with the next SS/Mainline figures for ROTB.
That could definitely be the case! The mainline version does have a very cool looking beast mode
In general, I prefer the mainline version. I like her much more feminine head sculpt and her lack of massive legs in falcon mode. However, I don't like the big gaps in the front of the wings of the mainline falcon...

oh she's gorgeous. I really liked the mainline but this one's great. Also I agree with the "if it ain't broke" line, Kingdom airazor was one of the best molds of that line, I also wonder if Hasbro's gonna continue reversing the "shrnkflation" of figures, going back to larger, chunkier figures at the same current price points, while still having the modern (or improved) engineering
Regular Deluxe could probably work as a younger version of Airazor

Honestly, I think I prefer the mainline ROTB Airazor over the Studio Series one. I mean I admire the SS figure's size but the mainline one has a much better transformation, cuter looking robot mode, and a VERY nice falcon mode.
Mainline's size is the better *girl size" the goes well with movie Arcee.

I think I’m most excited to see which figures in this ROTB like get the premium finish treatment.
Those figures in particular are real pricey, but I truly think each release we’ve seen so far from this line is massively in need of a repaint.
My dream ROTB premium finish line would consist only of each Maximal.
that would be amazing, however i think they sadly discontinued the premium finish line which is really unfortunate i think it had potential
Love the design of both modes! Although it is lazy of them to basically retool kingdom airrazor, I never actually got that figure so it'll be somewhat new to me.

SS should have the mainlines overall falcon design BUT of course with the extra molding detail/sculpting for accuracy.
The SS' size is perfect though imo. Just those slight tweaks and I think that's the best Air Razor we'll get/have.
From what I've heard about the different looks is something happens to her during the movie to change her form but take with a grain of salt

Oh my gosh, Studio series Rise of the Beast Airazor is so fantastic 🤩! Despite just saw her in falcon mode in trailer, but her robot mode 🤖 design is so cool 😁. I love her very big talon, i can made Airazor use her very big talon to grab any Predacon or Terracon to throw her enemy to window, similar how i saw Swoop do that in Transformers Fall Of Cybertron video game 🎮😃. Cannot wait to grab Studio series Rise of the Beast Airazor soon, great job, PrimevsPrime 😊🤗.
i hinestly think the mainline airazor is overall more creative and fun but this one seems good for accuracy

I think the mainline figure is better but this one still looks pretty good, I love the green on the wings.

So nervous for this movie, I really liked Bumblebee well enough and this is a Beast Wars movie teh boot.
I will say though and this is absolutely personal but does using backwards bird feet for robot mode feet bother anyone? I've had this problem since the 90's lol, I dunno why it always drove me nuts.
I dunno, those bird toes have to go somewhere in robot mode, and they make pretty decent heel spurs.

Wish that they carried over the feathers detail on all the feathers like they have on the tail feathers. And I wish the legs folded up like the mainline version compared with this one. They look like they’re just hanging out there.

The figure has more paint than the leaked pics of this figure and the CGI renders. Makes this figure look worth it, but I still prefer the creative engineering of the mainline version

I am not a fan of the head design but that's not the toy's fault. Overall, I think I am only picking up this version simply because I like its beast mode leaps and bounds more

the head sculpt is amazing
I like both, be interesting if both are accurate, one is her pre-earth look and the other her earth look, unlikely but still. The mainline one makes me think of the original BW design's silhouette more and based on the limited shots in the trailer, the colours don't match on either, though the mainline one seems closer but both still look nice.
I agree! I also thought of that too. I think it could make sense for the simpler version to be maybe cybertronian & then the SS version her earth mode 🤷🏼♂️
I know that I'm going to end up with both mainline and SS. But I'm digging the mainline figure a little bit more.

i hope we get a redone of her in a voyager figure because she is actually pretty massive in the movie, along with the other Maximals, i say she is more of a voyager figure, especially in falcon mode she almost optimus prime size

The studio-series rear-end in beast mode looks kinda goofy. I can see a swimmer-pose of a human body every time I see it. The others had a better bird-body profile at the rear and the legs.

I like the eyes on the mainline a lot more, I think it gives her more of an expression. Everything else is good though.

I have just gotten round to transforming her after getting her at the weekend and her tolerances are really stiff, I was so scared I was going to break her at times as those hinges did not want to work together when extending her chest. Won't be in a rush to transform her again, I hope cheetor ain't the same when I get around to him

I got to go with the main line version, it just works much better as a bird former and hopefully a terrorsaur retool vs the kingdom version. The kingdom versions are fine and all, it just feels like....a humanoid squatting and pretending to be a bird vs a bird.

I like the SS over all a little better especially in Robot mode, but in alt mode I like the main line slightly more, probably due to how well they hid the legs, looks more like a bird.
PrimeVsPrime Kingdom Airazor does have an opening mouth it just has a tendency to be stuck on some examples of the toy & I think people don't want to force it and risk snapping it off or chip the finish.
I'm still surprised they didn't make Kingdom Airazor's Original toy deco colour as a Buzzworthy Bumblebee toy with the yellow accents. this one is actually Video Cassette Airazor colours instead.... I don't think it is even quite Beast Wars show colours either.
She would have made more sense to repaint than rereleasing Arcee did especially as Arcee didn't really sell out and Arcee has.
Same is true of Blackarachnia too I guess.
