Great tune. Great band. Mike S. also is in my opinion one of the most tasteful of well known lead guitarists. He seems to not be overly concerned with being a "shreader" however his playing contains a tasteful amount of that element (indeed a good thing)while employing real creativity and musical integrity and enjoyability without simply showing off us how fast his fingers can move. Indeed a talented guy with talented people supporting him here.

Thanks, Axe. I've waited to hear this line-up for, well, 26 years! Wonder if the three studio tracks recorded by them will ever be issued. Kennedy sounds pretty good, and I'm a big fan of Gary Barden! Schenker on form, of course.
Barden created the lyrics and the melody lines and Kennedy could sing Barden`s songs very precisely. And added a little touch of his own. That`s what i am appreciating
Likewise waited years to hear that line up. I can see why he wasn't retained but it wasn't his voice which suits this song well. Even great rock voices like Bonnet struggled to last with Schenker.

You'd think Michael would get top talent, but having been promised three singers on the anniversary tour, we had to endure only rent-a-voice Ronnie Romero last I saw him. Ronnie is the most soul-less singer I've ever seen live. Sings in tune, but little emotion and no warmth in his voice at all. He's absolutely at the same level as Ray.
All I know is that he has been round composing /writing music for other artists Rhythm & Blues style of music ,he was never a Rock singer ,he has recorded his own albums & I know he lives in LA Ca.! that's all the info I can give!
@MrTarakichi0626 OK, I think you must be talking about the effect during the solo ,if that is what you mean,let me tell you this, I never altered anything or added that effect,this was recorded & produced by a Japanese company,they put the effect,the names of the songs on screen & to be honest I hated that they did that to the video, ! if you search for this same video you & it is on youtube, will find the same thing! if that is what you meant!

People can criticize all they want but it takes a lot of guts to get out there on stage and perform live in front of large crowds . I have seen even the most popular singers go out and perform and sound terrible and get booed off the stage.
Well, at that particular part he was using a wah pedal. Not a big fan of the partially open wah sound. His tone is much cleaner at 4:32. I like that a lot better

I disagree. His playing made him. His technical and melodic proficiency at a very young age made him a standout. And I'm not saying a thing about his melodic solos, I love them. You need to understand the difference between an insult and an opinion. I was talking about the tone of the guitar at that part, nothing else.

Love the Blonde Bomber, but not a huge fan of his tone, especially the little melodic part at bout 3:20 to 3:50. Great playing, just not my favorite sound.
The galloping of a kentucky triple crown winner couldn't match the flawless energy and unbridled power from 4:33 to the end of the piece. Olivia always was and will be just filler in preparation for an otherwise perfectly chiseled guitar solo.. Started with Phil Hogg and even to some degree,.. Kluas.
Ray Kennedy has a background in pop and jazz. He wrote songs for The Beach Boys. A great singer, but he may have been out of his element image-wise doing this. It’s like putting Tom Jones with Black Sabbath. Lol. Still, a great voice, and he did a wonderful job singing the songs at the Super Rock 84 gig. Much respect to him and RIP, sir. 🤘🤘🤘
Don't get so f*cked up, these were the times, most ppl (young girls) liked it, was the "hairband decennium". I don't like it either, but the music is great though, and he sings oke too.
